I am not opposed to eating animals if the suffering of the animal is minimized. I'm not suggesting that they need to go vegetarian. It is possible to kill an animal quickly and without pain. But these two seem to enjoy showing some of the most cruel and destructive "traditions" on their channel. Between the shark fin soup video, the live shrimp video, and the live octopus videos, they display an absolute lack of regard for the suffering of the animals.

Eating the shrimp as they did is no more "cruel" than the way shrimp are processed on harvesting trawlers.

I'd expect better reasoning from an engineer, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it's coming from a guy who lives with cats.

If I object to the gratuitous cruelty shown in this video it does NOT mean I am ok with other forms of cruelty towards animals or the environment. YOU seem to have a problem with reasoning.

Since they are eating animals in most all their videos, it stands to reason that you aren't opposed (in general) to the killing of animals for food.

So, why is this shrimp cruelty, but the general butchering of the other animals they eat in other videos isn't?

How is the killing of an animal not "animal suffering"?

OR, are you vaguely suggesting that they should continue making food videos, but go vegetarian/vegan instead?

Where I'm from in china, we just catch some shrimp, wash em, then dunk em in wine till they stop floppin' :d yum! ( I'm from a poorer part of the city and so it's not as fancy :P)
