One thing that might help with him jumping off the board is keeping a toy or target at the end of the board instead of throwing it...also with running contacts you want to keep the focus forward instead of them looking at you- which is why most people will recommend a target of some sort!
@BoscoandKoda I definitely was looking for suggestions, thank you for the reminder about placement of the toy! I definitely have adjusted things because I noticed that he was looking back at me.
