  • I understand the Metric System but I don't "feel" it or think it. I feel and think in pounds and ounces. Old dogs and all that shit. It would be a great favor to see the weights in pounds as well as kilos.

  • 0:38 got pissed off by the Judges Scores

  • Dumbbells : I'm the best, everyone uses me.

  • @frank32310 Dude, I don't mean to sound mean, but are you that brainwashed by the media, that you think this is the ONLY sport dominated by whites, internationally, whites dominate the majority of sports still.

  • @I9hate9usernames just read the joke and dont take things so seriousley. besides im from ireland where the main sports are hurling and football which are both practically 100% dominated by whites.

  • @frank32310 And how many blacks live in Ireland?

  • @clarence0 just 1.06% of the population, what has that got to do with anything??

  • @frank32310

most of the strenght sports are dominated by white people. look at the strongman competitions and powerlifting..and offcourse weightlifting

  • @aminoacids13 LOL! Watch Chinese weightlifters.

  • @aminoacids13

Spoken like a true noob haha, ever heard of weightclasses.

  • @DjiEnn

  • All of u stop raging over the song, Idan273 made a great video and he can use whatever music he wants.

Great work Dan keep it up.

  • notice all of the older guys need to brace their knees

  • Can anybody recommend a good pair of oly lifting shoes?

  • Respond to this video... blacks highest gay community percent then any other race saw on news

  • im black and i got a boner over this video

  • Wiegieboard, he is faggot because he listening to Three Days Grace? What kind of music do you listen?

  • @Evilhamsterlive he listens to the village people XD

  • @Evilhamsterlive Music that isn't gay as fuck. Not that there's anything wrong with being gay. It's just gay music like fish and chips is British food.

  • @Wiegieboard There isn't? So you are perfectly fine with the idea of your own son getting fucked up the arse? Being gay is not fine. Especially when you are commenting in a weightlifting video. Sorry for pointless argument, but i just had to...

  • @dan7edan7e If my son wanted fucked up the arse that's his choice and as a respectable, understanding and DECENT human being I'd support HIS highly educated, thought out, brave and emotional personal decision. And yes I can compare 2 athletes be that in polevaulting or hockey as it's actually my job to do just that. It's how we (in my line of work) make better athletes. Doesn't change the fact the song's gay though.

  • @Wiegieboard Ah... I guess we are still in stone age here in Russia... Homosexuality is unacceptable. Our president banned all gay parades etc. Anyways, that doesnt matter. By comparing two athletes I meant the usual type crap: "look at this guy, his biceps is huge, but he cant c&j even 100kg" OR "you can snatch 170 but you look skinny and I cant even say u ve done sports when I look at you". BTW Just curious, what is your job? Sounds interesting.

  • @dan7edan7e Fair dos I guess everyone has their opinion.

I'm a sports scientist, personal trainer and coach.

  • @Ben85paintball I guess Mark Henry doesn't count? Oh well...are there any really strong people here insulting the great lifters and bodybuilders? Are insults like "attaboys"? Do they add up to pounds on your lifts or add points to your IQs? No? I didn't think so. The ha bitual use of specious reasoning is nauseating. This video is a fantastic compilation of both great lifts and great failures. I applaud each and every one of these lifters who actually did something instead of whining.

  • How come some of these guys aren't wearing belts even though some of their competitors are wearing belts at the same competition?

  • @STRLOL Preference

  • @STRLOL

    Because thems be real men.

  • @STRLOL You are allowed to use a belt. Some athletes choose not to. I am a mid-grade powerlifter, for example, but I never use a belt, even for 1 rep maxes (my DL is 260kg, squat 225, bench 170).

  • Excellent video compilation.... Amazing!

  • This is my favourite form of lifting to watch. Im hoping to get to the crystal palace heavy weights room to get some coaching on my technique. I dont get how people can train for hypertrophy.. its so boring! The strength shown in this vid is outstanding. Some of these guys' butts were touching the floor when they pushed back up with the weight overhead. The power required to do that is insane. All of the brahs in here are used to doing 15 reps+ of their tricep kickbacks.

  • Love the attempt at 1:40, fails but really piles in his power.

  • The Heaviest clean and Jerk may be by Hossein Rezazadeh of Iran, but the biggest recorded was Leonid Taranenko with 266kg, Soviet bloke but his record wasent 'offical' cause the weight catogries changed...

Not discrediting somine who can lift over 4 times what I can, just thing its fair to point out

  • @johnfox3 His record WAS OFFICIAL. BEFORE THEY FIDDLED WITH THE WEIGHTCLASSES. Hossein Rezazadeh should not hold ANY record. Because Leonid Taranenko C&J 266 and Antonio Krastev snatched 216. 265 CJ was also done prior to Rezazadehs 263kg, by Kurlovich. HOW CAN YOU CHANGE THE ABSOLUTE WORLD RECORD BY CHANGING THE CATEGORIES? All of these men are 140+kgs of weight, who cares if the weightclasses swittched from 110+ to 105+???????? FUCKIN BULLSHIT. Slavs dominated weightlifting and will do so.

  • @dan7edan7e Taranenko lifted the most ever (266kg) so should hold the World Record, is that what your saying? - if so I agree

  • @johnfox3 That. Also Krastev should hold snatch record 216. And also I am pissed with this weightclasses change bullshit. But dont get me wrong, Hossein Rezazadeh is a living god, in my opinion.

  • @dan7edan7e I don't know about the snach, infact I know little about weightlifting, but yea I agree you cant remove a WR just cause the weightclasses change, especially if its heavyweights !

  • @johnfox3 exactly.... when you are talking about SHW - you are talking about ABSOLUTE records. Basically, you can have a man weigh half-a-fuckin-ton, he d still fall in the same weight cat. If you wanna see 216 snatch, check this out:

    watch?v=r0Z_ffcOtow

  • @dan7edan7e well next year you can say bye to all the world records u mentioned, watch out for rezazadehs pupil, he is 21 years old and snatched 215 already and will break 266 c&j too, hopefully in the olympics, its persian raw power brah

  • @RapatipatooO Whats his name? Any videos?

  • @dan7edan7e yeah search for behdad salimi, there is a video of him doing 214 snatch and he was last times world champion 2

  • @RapatipatooO there is a recent video of him breaking the world record snatch with 217 in trainingcamp

  • After watching this great video, i was immediately filled with disappointment after reading some of these comments

  • you're a faggot for picking this song

  • 2:30 his hair helped him

  • @Ben85paintball, Also, Europeans were more advanced than Africans due to knowing how to farm and survive off of what they hunted or grew which is the ultimate indicator of growth. Africans on the other hand live in hot climates which means their body sweats more which in-turns means they don't store any blubber which aswell in-turn means when they work to find food, they have nothing stored to turn into muscle. So to conclude this never ending debate. It's a matter of genes due to climate.

  • @Ben85paintball, The reason Whites are typically stronger than Blacks (This goes for Europeans vs Africans) is because through thousands of years Whites typically lived in colder climates which mean more stored blubber as opposed to the tropical hot climates that Africans or blacks lived in. Europeans had to work obviously as a means to survive but always dressed warm with because of the harsher condition so the blubber that was stored turned into muscle which created stronger, bigger people.

  • @AggressiveNarcissism hahaha! omg, youtube comment of the year. :D

  • @Karlhumphreys1988 Hey, Facts are facts.... ;)

  • @AggressiveNarcissism Blubber does not turn into muscle. Period. And if you can get that basic fact so wrong, where does that leave the rest of your thesis? In the land of wrong as well. Or are there no weak Europeans? No strong Africans? Generalizations can be useful as a starting point for an argument or a thesis, but when the generalizations become the entirety of the discussion it shows laziness on the part of the participants. With that generalization, I will leave you. :P

  • @dynomax101 always a pleasure to read an educated comment. Good job.

  • This is such a motivating video.

  • @Ben85paintball i doubt it. who do you think would be more likely to be a powerlifter? a skinny white boy from france? or a well built black dude from the southern states?

  • @AdangerousRETARD, Look at it this way, A person living in cold harsh climates who works to survives must stay warm in order to live. This means they store body fat so they won't lose nutrients. Now, a person living in a hot climate doesn't store as much if really any body fat except for the minimal for survival because his body is not being abused and only reacts and adapts to the conditions provided (Sweat, loss of weight etc). Climate+Work+Nutrients= determined genetic outcome.

  • @Ben85paintball Just culture. Human races are so similar on a genetic level it's falacious to refer to them as distinct "races". Genetic variation between ethnogroups clossely matches the variations within the groups themselves. Culture is what makes race distinction real, it's far more powerful then you might think.

I believe certain ethnogroups are more specialized in certain sports simply because they have the right cultural conditions to promote it. Dedication is what allows people to lift.

  • @Ben85paintball It actually kind of does have to do with genes, I remember reading somewhere that white people have genetically stronger joints, which would make sense ... not sure how legitimate this is though.

  • This 17 year old kid named Doc Derwin recently broke a record for bench press for his age and weight: successful in all four attempts of 429.7 lbs at 195 lbs.

  • this is what weight lifting is all about. No overly-tanned greasy monsters in g-strings like fags.

  • I always enjoy watching olympic weightliftingThe benefits are enormous.

Especially for people who have knee pain after knee reconstruction.

  • @Ben85paintball it has more to with culture than genes. im white btw

  • haha 0:39 "hey judges, how bout you try lifting this"

  • Can someone please explain to me how the winner is decided in olympic lifting..is it the most weight lifted...the total of the weights lifted in the three attempts, or is it the weight lifted compared to the body weight..its really confusing me i looked up the rules on google and it stated nothing about how to win the come so id appreciate it if someone explains..its doing my head in :)

  • @spartan1893

To win you must have the highest combined total in your given weight class. If two lifters make the same total a Sinclair score check is done this is based on body weight to lifted weight ratios.

  • I'm a Powerlifter. But I have the utmost respect and admiration for Olympic Weightlifters. They have the most evolved method and test of ultimate strength and power to an extent that hasn't been achieved by Powerlifting or Strongman. And I love Strongman too. That's not any disrespect to Powerlifting and Strongman that's just how it is right now. Anything can happen in the future but Olympic Weightlifting is the ultimate show of strength.

  • Insane Motivation. I created at the beauty of them success and effort.

  • whose the guy who does a backflip after his lift

  • one of the best lifting video, I was swearing 'mothafukaaaaa!!!!!!' quite many times when theres a good squat and jerk

  • im 13 only 202lbs of dope-free power and i can clean and press 350lbs raw and strict. :)

  • @13andincrediblycut cool, but im 12 years old only 150lbs of dope free power and i can clean and press 700lbs raw and strict :) my proof is the fact that im posting this on the internet

  • @jakebrigand Lies. My lifts are done RAW and DOPE-FREE and they're all real; no lies whatsoever.

    :)

  • @13andincrediblycut, whatever bud, no one is gonna believe that a 13 year old is moving that kinda weight without any video proof. Get a friggin video up. How much can you squat... I'm talking full depth. Front Squat and Back Squat.

  • @mcnailler93G I can squat 616lbs RAW dope-free at only 13! :P

  • @13andincrediblycut,

That's bullshit. Show us a fucking video.

  • @mcnailler93G I will upload soon I swear. :P

  • I love how genuinely happy the guy looks at 3:46.

  • One word, RESPECT.

  • some of their faces looks like thier gonig to puke or something

  • @JuzTooGood Is it just me or does Sagir's(1:58) expression look totally "emo in distress" : D

  • 3.10 GREAT!

  • wats the song ?

  • get the sound back up and this vid is 100x better, that song fit perfectly

  • embarassing? there is world record after world record on the clip, and when a lifter fails it shows he is pushing his personal limit, or his limit on that particular day. can you not understand the basic concept of the sport?

  • Looks likea good vid. Too bad there's no sound.

  • how many pounds are in a kg lol

  • 2.2

  • 2.3

  • compared to this, powerlifting is for sissies.. I mean think about it, is it really that cool to look like a fat bastard and deadlift 400 kg, or weigh like 80 kg and lift 200 kg from the floor and press it over your fucking head?

  • I like Olympic lifting better than powerlifting. The problem with powerlifting is the lack of rules under a unified sanctioning body. The bench shirts and knee wraps are just rediculous. Be honest with yourself, If you need a forkflift to help you lock it out, it isn't real. Even then, Olympic lifting is more beautiful to watch, and creates more drama.

  • every sport has its own beauty. please let it keep its own and dont compare

  • The guys that weight 81kg deadlift +300 kg, not 200. Don't be a fucking idiot.

  • Uh..Powerlifting has weight classes too..

  • Haha look everyone. This faggot is obsessed with looks. Go home and listen to bullet for my valentine you woman. You're the sort of guy who drives a nissan micra done up like a spaceship, aren't you? Watch some more bodybuilding videos and have a wank to them.

  • @Wiegieboard lol ignorant much?

  • @Wiegieboard I completely agree lol.

  • @Wiegieboard what is wrong with Olympic weightlifting? and it doesnt matter if ur fat in weightlifting its about how strong u r

  • @TheRugbyProp That's exactly what I'm trying to get across to the "Bodybuilders" on here my man. The comment was aimed at all the guys talking smack about the bigger lifters body composition without realising that the reason they themselves are weak as piss, is because they're too lean through undereating the correct amount of carbs and fats and working the wrong rep range and exercises.

  • @Wiegieboard No... It is mostly due to the use of different types of AAS.

  • @Wiegieboard fuckin pisses me off, people comparing sports like BB, PL and OWL.... THEY ARE FUCKIN DIFFERENT SPORTS! You dont compare a pole vault jumper to a fuckin hockey player, why would you compare bodybuilding to olympic weightlifting. Both are great sports, both require 100% discipline, blood and guts. But they ARE DIFFERENT. So is the training, nutrition, regime, pre-contest work etc. Seriously, why dont ppl understand that....

  • @dannee543 coudln't agree more. And also, who would win in a fight? A 100kg powerlifter or a 100kg weightlifer. The powerlifter might be able to pick the other one up easily, but the o-lifter could punch the powerlifter so explosivley he would cry.
