I'm not sure if Adam just doesn't understand about politics which is surprising for a journalist reporting on politics or if he's trying to brainwash idiots into believing his version of the truth. If the Lib Dems and Labour had more seats than the Conservatives, they could have voted against any government Bills. We need to watch the Conservatives don't bring in too many laws by delegated legislation as they just serve their big business donors.

@SuzLa1 The point that was being made is that if Labour and LibDems united they still wouldn't have a majority and could not be guaranteed to prevent all bills - i.e. if DUP voted with Conservatives they could still have won that vote. Labour would have had to have gained the support of Lib Dems, SNP and Plaid Cymru to form almost a majority.

@nfb06102 Yes they did. Just Labour and Lib Dems together had more seats than Conservatives. Labour and Lib Dems had 316 seats and the Conservatives had 306 seats, so Labour and the Lib Dems could have voted against any Conservative Bills.

It seems to have worked and proved how gullible people are, as most of the nation seems to either not know, or have forgot how awful it was during the Conservative years.
