By using mirrors or lenses with concentrated light technique, you don't need to waste that many solar cells and labors. Fake capitalism wasting people's efforts.
Hey i can u tell me if these Solar Panel over time are they become rusty? or does it need to be clean now and then after rain condition, dry season and stuff and 1 last important question i want to know about the control of these panel so you have to change from using the grid sources supply line to battery supply so these Solar keep the Battery charging 24/7? what happen when it full u just change the battery but what garantee does it give for constantly 24 hours supply? and number of houses?
I would not walk on it just in case ... better safe than sorry. Besides, why would you want to walk on these solar panels? It's not like you need to clean the snow off, down there on Malta - it's always (well, almost always) summer :)
@coolflatroof thanks for the reply,in malta we live on the roof during the hot summer evenings, barbeques parties and friends come over to eat watch tv or otherwise, this is why I asked, so these would not work in malta. thanks again becuse of this reason, they would be ideal for commerial roofs..
Not a great idea installing them like that...it might look clever but thats about it. Multi / mono crystalline PV cells need ventilation on both sides because they lose a significant amount of efficiency once they get above their rated output temperature (usually about 25 degrees celcius). In summer, lying flat on that concrete roof they would get very hot and not produce anywhere near their full potential output. They have also ignored solar orientation..they need to be tilted not flat.
In spite of the talking heads in the video, this is not a thin film product. While it is thin, it is NOT film.
The patented product is built with a 5" high output crystalline cell. Each 4'x8' module has over a 400 watt output. (NO THIN FILM can claim anything close to that watt density output)
Please do not confuse these panels with similar looking ones from lumeta - these are made by open energy (former name - they changed the brand, but idea is the same).

can u walk on them or do they break, in Malta we all have flat roofs (Mediterranean island) this would be ideal. thanks

in a flat roof doesnt it have to be a certain angle for them to produce the maximum amount of energy ? What is the cost for such a procedure ?

I converted my home to a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas either...not sure how hot the roof will get since it is white....

This is still a crystalline cell and not thin film...
