I guess it takes a bit of luck and patience. I did this project almost five years back and if I remember correctly it went fairly smoothly for me.
But that was the last time I messed with VIZ until just the last few weeks I've been getting back into it for work. I am now learning the AutoDesk 2008 version but we are eventually getting the new Max(9?) which incorporates the Viz product within the Max product. This is so we can link our Revit Models with Viz. The renders are much better now.
Thanks Henry! Both actually. A 2d Floor Plan was done in AutoCAD and then the plan was used to build the from in VIZ. then the movie was rendered with VIZ and then title and music was added with with a movie editing program.
If you like that one check out some of the other models I've created in my videos section. Some are done with ArchiCAD and Artlantis and one is done with the Unreal Editor and FRAPS.
Did you have difficulty with the renderings? In one of my architecture projects in uni, I tried to do the renderings with VIZ and it didn't really work out that well; too many functions and I couldn't get the radiosity renderings right. Yours look much much more realistic (esp the lightings) than any of my tries in VIZ.

Man that is some modelling! Did you do that on VIZ, or AutoCad?
