@s3g4you Sadly this is shaolin T_T. It looks like modern wushu is taking over the true spirit of shaolin. These days are just performing shaolin monks going all over the world to get money(unfortunately), that why there are alot of acrobatics and stunts. The true/deadly shaolin fighting is very rare these days only a few left,who knows maybe it doesnt exist anymore. Now only shitty modern wushu like this ( acrobatics and stuff ) is prevailing.

does everyone you know have skill with a gun? probably not, and therefore what assistance would a gun give you if you didnt have experience...especially with someone who is EXPERIENCED in being able to disarm you of your gun. even those who do know how to use a gun that still doesn't render you the title of undefeatable, especially with someone who possesses the ability of sharp precise movements. Not all who have guns are able to summon reflexes quick enough to prevent from being disarmed.

the things they put on display, aside from weapon katas, are merely flashy gymnastics to amuse people uneducated about martial arts.

notice how they only showed a real hand-to-hand sequence for maybe 1 second? they dont want you seeing the real thing, you would have to learn it yourself to know what it is

Id have to go with the Shaolin as well, these are just simple demonstrations showing the agility and stamina of the style, you would never see a real Monk fight, youd be dead, they dont fight for entertainment.

Shaolin is the original, but then again, Wing Chun was taught by ng moi, a sister nun at the Song Mountain Temple, Wing Chun taught her hausband, which named the system after her, and yes, Shaolin is very hard training, VERY hard.

ohh..umm muay thai in my opinion, i mean, shaolin is great-very flashy and has a beautiful ground, but muay thai is designed strictly to destroy the opponents body, before modern muay thai rules the death rate in head to head muay thai combat was 7 out of 10 fights...so as far as brutal force and physical destruction i gotta go with muay thai..what about you?
