For the simple fact that it is AWD alone, already solidifies the fact that it wasn't made for a 1/4 mile race. AWD has too much drivetrain loss, and the launches are all it counts on. Subaru even states that the AWD is great for peace-of-mind for traffic hazards and for the weekend hiker/camper/skier.
G35's are a great pakage. fair priced reliable have good power look good ride smooth and are somewhat luxurios. but if your like me and seek 100% thrill of speed and cornering, STI and EVO ALL DAY TO SHIT ON THIS G35
The G35 is still a good fast car, Wrx is faster cause it got a turbo, put a turbo in the G35 it would rape, you can even put 2 in it, then thats a beast.

Oh wow the 2005 G35 models and lower had 0-60 times of 5.8~ sec. and the 07-08 models which are the G37 have a 0-60 time of 5.4~ sec. not 5.1 sec. The BMW is 0-60 in 4.9 sec. which is still pretty bad considering it is twin turboed and a "BMW". Although the quarter mile time is pretty good.
Yeah but I'm talking about the new ones, and the 6 speed manual G35 can do it in 5.1secs, it all comes to the driver. The BMW is 5.3secs(look it up on the bmw website) but again with a good driver it can do it faster. The bmw is a small (3L) inline 6 engine fitted with 2 SMALL turbos (one for low power and the other for high power) I think that 4.9-5.1secs is good

the WRX has a great take off because of the AWD whereas the G35 has some difficulty because of the rear wheel drive
but if you notice, the G35 starts catching up to the WRX after take off. at higher speeds the G35 can overtake the WRX

@Supra776 Yeah there turds, it costs too much to mod em, and you can't get much power without a turbo.

did i forget to mention on this that my friends g35 has over 3k dollars spent into mods...i finally got a wrx and if you can launch good, the g might as well not even bother... and for the dummy that said they are the fastest in their price range...that has to be the stupidest thing ive ever heard...lets use an evo and sti, they do 0-60 a second faster and the 1/4 mile a second faster and are the same price...if not cheaper
