Wow. Where to begin? If Joel is so concerned about taxes then the most obvious cuts should be in the military budget. This would include the estimated $3 billion/year to support Israel. Conservative estimates put the total cost of our Israeli relationship at around $1.6 trillion. Do I have something against Israel? Absolutely not. Do I think those funds were unwisely spent? No. But, then again, I am not singing a ditty about the horror of taxation while glossing over how most tax $ is spent.
