I enjoyed your video very much! You have some great, rare pictures... ones I've never seen.. And I've been a major fan for quite some time. Great job!
@SusanaNeves7 Do you mean who wrote the lyrics? I'm not sure, but Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, Michael Jackson, all those people SANG it first. I believe Judy was the first to sing it, but I can't remember the names of the men who wrote the song. I can look into that if you'd like.
One of my favorite of Chalie's movies is "City Lights." Everytime he walks by this blind girl he buys a flower from her. He raises enough money so that she can have an operation to restore her sight. The end of the movie is when he visits her and she offers him a flower and money. She thinks some rich guy paid for her operation and is surprised to see who it was. A little tramp.
Its great to see so many videos to this great man. I read his autobiography sometime ago and am currently reading the biography on him by David Robinson. I can't get enough of him and its all Robert Downey Jnr fault but i'll gladly forgive him.
i think this amazing actor should never be forgotten ands his legacy should live on for the rest of our days he made us all laugh from when he started and still to this day he puts tears in peoples eyes

Love this Smile song. I wrote an original song as a tribute to Charlie Chaplin. Hope you can visit my channel and enjoy The Little Tramp. Tory from Austin Texas..singer songwriter musician and huge Charles Spencer Chaplin fan
Charlie Chaplin was a genius ! against all odds (he had a shit childhood growing up in england) BUT ... he MADE IT in the good ol usa Then uh oh he spoke out against the usas corrupt govt policies in other words he told THE TRUTH but , despite his FAME he was called a communist by the usa govt and they expelled him from that country haha the IRONY (so much for free speech and integrity in a so called "democracy") Chaplin exposed their hypocrisy GREAT HUMAN BEING !!
Even though Charlie played a Tramp and he wore a hat and moustache so he was a handsome man, his eyes and smile is amazing..he was charmer..Charlie had charm and charism.. He was clever, genius, a dream of every girl I think..Sometimes I am sad I couldn't live in the same time like he but I say myself I can be happy I got possibility watch his films and watch his art in time where I live:) I hope our souls will meet together, I love you Charlie Chaplin :)
It was apparently written about his son, or one of them. They kept dying and it broke his heart but he knew he still had to go out there and smile because it was his job, to make others laugh.
ohhh i love this video!! I've been a charlie chaplin fan for as long as i can remeber. What great pics, and of course his beautiful song "Smile" playing compliments it soo well!! THANK U THANK U THANK U!!!!

Great video - beautiful and timeless Chaplin classic - there will never be another like him - thank God we have the footage, movies, photos and memories of this incredible man. Thanks so much for sharing them with us :)
Who care when there's so much beauty in Mr Chaplin's "smile"ing eyes. Michael Jackson added his take on this beauty. The message in the lyrics get's all through the tough times!
I had no idea he was so handsome...in a very different way from his character...I would have thought his eyes were dark brown..but they look light when he isnt wearing the eyeliner...like blue? What a talent he was!
@CharlieChaplinsAngel a beautiful, beautiful man and a stunning soul - and he has children and grandchildren now, living and breathing among us.
