sounds like a bad idea. now you have a plot hole, why dont they stay merged with a character forever? so it gets weaker over time, yet weve never seen any physical effects of them getting weaker yet. freddy was merged for like what, all day? and he was fine. so they should stay merged for long periods of time now unless forced to do otherwise...
it makes sense from a directors point of view but not for the show
It's not a plot hole at all. Steve was merged with Freddy for maybe 60 minutes tops. And because of it, the Freddy character is heavily weakened (hence why he'll be weaker in the remake than he was in FvJ).
Not to mention that was during Eric's over throw, so his entire system was messing up and his normal time limit on the Merges was cut down.
Max time limit on a character is 30 minutes. Anything more and they will automatically un-merge.
it didnt seem like 60 minutes. there was the whole fight and conversation, then i cant remember if they teleported or walked, if they walked thats A LOT longer, then they went home, did all that socializing i think there was a 'getting drunk' scene not sure, then they passed out and its unclear how long they slept. if they dad that all in a hour they mustve merged with Hiro or the Flash somewhere :X
two more plot holes i forgot to mention, 1, it seems highly unlikely to me that after all that time they never tried to merge with someone twice. when dealing with support characters like 'forge', you dotn have much to worry about in the power loss department since your not fighting with them anyway. 2, if each different universe 'version' of a character is a different character, that would make mean you have 100 million different fanfiction versions of superman to merge through.
so that means it doesnt need continuity? doesnt need to make sense? comedy means you have lots of jokes, not just a pointless aimless show with no basis on reality...
He SUPER said the Oath wrong. What wasn't filmed was Ryan saying he didn't need to look at the script because he's read every issue of GL since the 60s.
