As far as the whole cigarette thing goes, from what I remember almost every brand besides American Spirit was tested on animals at one point or another, but most brands at this point are not running any animal tests. Menthol cigs are still unvegan, but if you smoke regular then it depends on your own pov there.
Farm animals are herbivores. Anything they don't get from plants, they make. Humans are animals too, and make the same things: B12, K2, etc
Omega 3 is even in fruit. People don't actually need more 3, they need the right balance of 3 and 6. People have too much 6, which is found in ........... you guessed.
His point is that B12 isn't found NATURALLY in sufficient quantities in any vegan food source. Not that vegan's can't possibly get it.
I love the photo of the main guy from the veganbodybuilding[dot]com website standing next to Jay Cutler, he's twice the vegan guys size. I've never once seen a Vegan body builder that can come close to a pro body builder's body, even looking back on pre-steroid body builders. It's as if you can only pick two between heavy, ripped and vegan.
But there ARE vegan pro bodybuilders. Kenneth williams, Bill Pearl.
Consider that steroids are in meat. So meat is handy if you want freakish size, but those people on not a strike against veganism being un-natural. They are un-natural.
B12 comes from bacteria, so it's not technically vegan. bacteria is in air, water and ON plant food - everywhere. So vegan's get bacteria. And it's sufficient, otherwise, cows, chickens, gorillas and I wouldn't be around.
Kenneth Williams is still half Jay Cutler's size which only further proves my point and Bill Pearl was a VEGETARIAN (not vegan)
"And it's sufficient, otherwise, cows, chickens, gorillas and I..."
Cows, have B12 producing bacteria in their guts, not sure where chickens get it, possibly from the bugs they eat and gorillas get it from eating feces.
You don't produce b12 in your gut, and I doubt you eat bugs or feces. You likely get B12 from whatever fortified vegan food you eat.
p.s: Yup, obviously I meant soy milk. As far as your claim the only credible study I can find close to your claim (I don't consider youtube a credible source =P ) is concerning GM soy products, and it's link to problems like type1 diabetes and other issues (mostly concerning expecting mothers). I don't use GM products though soo yeah. Also you should try linking to the studies themselves if your going to use case studies to support your argument. Not sites and videos with their own agenda.
Well I just now finally got on long enough to see your response robert. Anywho, I don't necessarily say it's healthier (my reasons are purely ethics). You can easily be an unhealthy vegan, but that can apply to any diet. I suppose I haven't been vegan long enough to be a good example of vegan diets (been over a year now), but I haven't noticed any sudden changes in my weight or health. I hardly ever get sick even when everyone else catches some bug, and it even helped with my acid reflux.
Unfortunately, to find out for yourself would require a battery of blood tests that are not part of standard tests since they only look for "standard" abnormalities. Lots of money. Then you must compare to "normal" populations. And then what is normal for your age group. (The older you are the more its ok to be abnormal.) If we have drifted from normal over 100 years then even all of these tests are OFF.
If you are using cows milk as implied in the video, you are not a vegan.
Soy milk & tofu (unfermented soy products) are not healthy & very unnatural. Look up mercola youtube video on soy. It's an eye opener.
There is absolutely no DHA/EPA (omega 3) in soy or walnuts, that is ALA (alpha-linolenic acid another omega 3) ALA is only converted to dha/epa 10 to 25% & requires saturated fat to convert.
Manson/Hitler part was a joke, time limit did not allow me to explain.
So do you see anything wrong with veganism if taking vitamin supplements for all the things you claim cannot be found anywhere else but in meat/dairy while also getting protein from either fermented soy products or hemp protein powder? Do you think there is any major difference between the two diets, nutritionally that is? Also, I'm not sure about this but I think B12 might be found in algae and seaweed. Do you know anything about that? Have you ever watched the documentary called "eating"?
qstendious: Good question. There is indeed a big difference between a vegan who argues that veganism is totally natural, based on biology, evolution and science and one who says it a choice because of my morals AND will also admit that it is not necessarily healthier AND supplements. I have only come across ONE such vegan, and he is still ill. My video was a response to his deteriorating condition which I was privy too.
Even I must supplement because our meat is basically is messed up.
At this point it's hard to make any absolute determinations. The more you research the more convoluted the subject becomes. I have been vegan for 6 months now with the exception of having cheese a handful of times. I appreciate the opposing side because I learn from it. I am not hostile and don't judge people who eat meat, I did for almost 3 decades and may do it again, provided it actually is healthy and essential. I am simply looking to insure my health and the future of this planet.
all i can say to you is to read john robins books diet for a new america and the food revolution he's educated and has cited research to support everyone one of his claims. I'm a vegan I'm not a militant vegan I respect everyone but education is power if you can read these books and still claim what you claim then all the power to you but just read them and make your own decision instead of citing youtube videos as fact.

cigarettes are animal tested and contain animal fats, which makes smokers non vegan

@rayspitsongirls In some countries you can get non-animal tested cigarettes but in most they are tested,

It's even simpler than that:

Veggie Meat is packed with these supplements. Including Omega 3 and a few of the others.
