I had a large chocolate labrador once. He always was pushy with our cat.

One time he went up real close to her that the cat hissed and struck him in the nose.

The result was a Cat chasing dog in laps from the kitchen, through the hall and back.

My dog was the same way until she met nose to nose with one of our rescued cats. She barked at him and he gave a wild yowl and lunged for her throat. The cat chased the dog around the kitchen island and into the living room where he cornered her and slapped her nose. My dog never talks back to him.

This was our neighbor's dog. Bonedaddy had lived with a Dalmatian whom he never attacked. I have no idea why he acted this way around the terrier, but we noticed that every time the dog walked by our window, Bonedaddy would practically kill himself trying to get at him. So we decided to see what would happen if they were both outside.

@Icarcus You're full of yourself. Here in Florida, w/o what you consider "unnecessary vaccines" a puppy would almost certainly die from parvo and adult dogs would die from heartworms. None of my dogs were spayed or neutered. Yet all my dogs were properly disciplined & trained (by me) and could do things even a police K9 couldn't do. They stayed sharp, focused, & highly motivated until the day they died. They became an extention of me. Because of their training I could take them places no dog...

One of the biggest reasons people don't like cats, is that they cannot control them. People who loath cats, are usually control freaks. A cat doesnt give a rat's ass about what you want. This doesnt make cats useless. I love both dogs and cats equally, so people should not disrespect animals, soully on how they can be controlled.
