  • love this song reminds me of my teenage days roller skating at skating palace the pavillion and central park at the fountain doing the diamond the scissors and having the time of my life

  • When music is good like this....it doesnt matter how funny the outfit is.

  • Yes, the best Italian disco record by a mile.

Great to finally see them in action.

I've had the record for years, but never known what they looked like!

  • Algo del Italo Disco, CANO 1982

  • High school memories, aaaahhhh...

  • I TRULY miss that era. Still, I can joke about it! LOL! I want a green shirt like that.

  • @ohsokoolnyc Yeah...that collar is ridiculous, ain't it

  • This song brings back the club scene in Nyc,late 80's early 90's!Awesome and then some!

  • 4 people are holding back

  • vthis is the old days no pop locking and dropping it. cmon people they grooving with the music. they was doing it back then. no matter what any of yall say they was doing it!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh my they aren't moving in time ... lol lol they look hilarious...

  • I guess I'm in the minority here, but I love the singer's green shimmery shirt with the giant collar. I would for sure wear that out. Of course, I was out dancing last night while wearing sequins...Also, I had no idea this song was Kano! Very different sound from their first album.

  • I guess I'm in the minority here, but I totally love the singer's green shimmery shirt with the giant collar. I would for sure wear that out. Of course, I was out last night dancing in sequins...

  • i do love this track ,sound like chic too

  • 4 PEOPLE ABSOLUTELY NO HISTORY OR RESPECT FOR MUSIC

  • my boy in the black leather cowboy hat is gettin down! LOL

  • that po child in the background with the brown vest!! what is she doing? the robot? LOL!

  • I'm the ONLY 80'S KID, BUT... what's up with Money's collar???!!! A little much, me think. The long version to this song is the BOMB!!!! Can't find it tho.... Enjoy my peeps...

  • rete 4!!!! ma che programma era??

  • DAYUMM, you took me there, man!! This was my favorite song!

  • du son rital au top la version remix chez delirium est une bombas

  • Truly a classic.

  • Glenn White (the singer) used to work as a DJ in Sottomarina near Venice-Italy and he was really amazing in mixing records, thanks for the wonderful moments.

  • This is my joint here. YO DREW,JOE, LOUIE LOU, ROB A., DISCO AL 1&2, NELLY NELL,TODD, All my close friends from back in the N.Y. this is what ya call soulful disco boogie music. The days of roller skating, groups formed lines & rolled bounced, rock & skated for hours. We partied for the love of music & being with family & friends. That era will never be seen again. 2days sound & generation wish they had it so good. Sorry ya mised the bus. PEACE & 1 LOVE from a true NEW YORKER!

  • @port2344chester Hello!! My Fellow New Yorker.!! OMG this the JAM.. I was on that bus and still am never got off! R U Kidding! Those were the days and this IS the music !

Thank you centralline14 for posting this GE

  • this song is so bombastic

  • Love this!!

  • I have been trying to track down this song for years~

  • This is for sure that NYC vibe; I love it!

  • There's a rapper with the same name Kano and i thought this guy was the same guy in 1982 who did this song. Just thought I bring that up.

  • Probably their second best jam after "Im ready"! Italian produced r&b from back in the days! Coming outna very good period for funky music!

  • forbidden lover

  • Last year, I blind-downloaded Kano's debut album (Kano), and I'm glad I did! They made so many awesome songs and grooves! If I ever make a movie, I'm putting Kano in the soundtrack!

  • I do think thus was areasomably good groove overall, but for '81, Jesus, there were so many brilliant tracks I'd have to say it was MOR.

  • This was a Chicago underground club hit too. But NYC is da ultimate dance spot.

  • It's true, it does sound like Chic, which is no surprise since Chic ruled NYC parks everywhere back in the day. It made sense to go with the same greatness.

  • Classic NYC vibe from back in the day.

  • Hardcorehouse... you said it man... ahhh the great memories from back in the day.. Recall the radio stations... 92wktu...98.7 kiss & 107.5wbls ahhh man tell me that doesnt bring back fond memories of a time when n.y. held such a positive energy & feeling.... that era of music was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Never will we see such a beautiful time & place again... Peace

  • i can agree that this performance was hilarious but i assure u this song is anything but average. course it depends where u grew up i can tell ya because i was there this was a huge, huge, HUGE, underground hit in black straight & gay nightclubs up & down the eastcoast. & there was a killer extended mix that faded out everything except the bassline & kick very funky.

  • Yes you are so right daryllharris... this jam moved mountains my brother.. I grew up in n.y. & man this was a MFKA tune... I can tell you this many roller skates went through wheel after wheel . Kids & grown folks jammed @ the parks & roller skating rinks back in the day. Dont you wish we could all just go back & share the golden moments with the youngster of 2day... 2bad they missed the bus... 2days sound is cancerous & lost. Peace from a true New Yorker...

  • dang right, glad someone else tapped in. about going back? well i'd have to be selective about that. lol. there r some heads that would loose their minds, & others that STILL just wouldn't get it, so i'd be lookin to take those back that could appreciate & handle the energy back then. some youngins don't get that back then nightclub partying was what ya did, it was a way of life not a alternative. it was more popular the xbox & wii combined.

  • Nice Disco-Funk By A Great Artist. Hah And Yeah Those Background Dancers Were Hilarious. LOL 8D

  • Great song!!

  • Great style!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is so cool

    i love this shit

    CLASSIC STILE :-)

  • The song isn't bad but good Lord look at this horrible performance. Really embarassing.

  • This is halarious!!! I could have gone without ever seeing what they look like. I've always loved "Im ready"..but what is this? They all look stoned....have no stage presence, uncoordinated...what's with the misplaced applause?

  • I feel dirty , like this is a really bad porno song and its scary.

  • I love how there's that one woman with the vest who comes out toward the end and dances way too fast for the tempo of the song. HA!

  • les italiens ont vraiment fait du bon shit

  • were they produced by the same guy that worked with chic? lots of familiarity

  • amazing

  • LOl...this is the only Kano I know and love..this is definitively for me..and forever...

  • Thought it was a different KANO,lol.

    Not for meeeeee this.

  • lol me 2

  • One of the best Italian productions

  • This song is killer, and the dude dancing in the back is COLD!

  • Yes, the dancer in the back is letting it out! Good eye.

  • i had the lead singer of the song pictured differently; nevertheless, it is a KILLER cut, and one of my favorite R&b dance cuts

  • This underground classic disco tune brings back so many memories back in the day living in n.y.c. Miss those days so much. Lets go back & party our asses off, ohh we will include the female human fly swata on the right. You guys on YT shouldn't have started talking shit about that lady I'm LMFAO doesn't she look like she smashing flies.

  • pls invent that time machine!

  • The good ole days.

  • bouncin into each other.. too funny the cowboy in the back steals the show and rides off into the sunset

  • This is one of my favorite groves of all time. I love it. So un-Kano in comparison to their other songs, even though those are cool. AND YES the dancing chick on the right is listening to another song..

  • This here groove sounds alot like something that could be played by Chic.

  • Great Funky sounds,and GREAT ATMOSPHERE with Super-good vocals.Powerfull!!!

  • somebody pleaseeee point the lady with brown vest to the way to the ryhthm

  • I actually felt like everyone on stage needed a metronome or something.

  • I want to know who is the dancer in the back he is smooth lol!! does anyone know? THIS wz and still is my song.

  • I can't stop laughing because the woman in the brown vest towrd the end is dancing so fast, it's hilarious. This track is just superbad and that baseline is sick. The keboards just have this nasty sound man it's just perfect.

  • oh my god. Now I'm laughing my ass off.....she has absolutely no rhythm.....way too fast.....hysterical.

  • What's that dude from the Village People doing in the background??

  • hey brotha i'm looking for STEVE SHELTO if you have more stuffs from him please Let me Know. THANKS ------------------------ i'm father of user gangsterIV

  • Is the lead singer of this group is Jimmy Ross of "First True Love Affair? They sound very much alike as well as the singer having a connection with this group.Very funky disco tune with alot of touches of R & B.

  • I was 3 yrs. old when this came out! My mother and older brother used to play this song a lot!! The end of the disco days! This is too damn funky!!!

  • this song is funkier than shit.....

  • great memories from my days in the marine corps

  • That collar on the green shirt is just too much. Dude looks like Dolemite's Kid Brother or something. LMAO! Love this cut but I didn't know it was Kano after all this time. Then again, I am sure labels thought this music didn't stand a chance.

  • I can't believe this is the same group that did " i'm ready " !!!!

  • @first40 Okay, I thought it was just me. I had to view all the comments before located this statement. Thanks because it help me verify it. So now, I can't believe this is the same group either. Um...wow?

  • To be honest, no one in this video will be remembered for their dance steps. The song is funky like a pot of old cabbage, though...

  • Holy shit! What a music! I 've been looking for this song since '82. Thanks a lot!!!!

  • me too

  • Me too!!! It was one of my favourites but i couldn't remember the title. Finally i found it, thank you so much!

  • It ' s my pleasure . Much Luv to everybody and stay funky !

  • that green logo wrong!! it IS Disco music!!

  • The logo is correct. Notte=Night in Italian

  • oh man! I ain't heard this since my military days in Europe. Thanks a million!!!!!!!!!

  • damn, that girl in the background with the brown vest on cant dance for shit.

  • Whew! I was thinking exactly what you wrote! LOL Babygirl is STRUGGLING!

  • She is dancing way TOO fast for the song. Its as if she can't even discern TEMPO. LOL

  • @hanbone76 haha damn!!

  • @hanbone76 If I'm not mistaken, she had to go to the hospital after this appearance. She went into a kind of "bad rhythm shock" and could not be revived. Poor thing... What beat was she on???!!!! I thought "shimmery pants" on "really stupid collar" was a bit off, but "VEST" was the worst!

  • @hanbone76 LMAO!!!!

  • @hanbone76 Elaine Benes (2:13), brown vest

  • @hanbone76 My friend just emailed me and told me to watch this video and watch how she dances! LOL

  • I love that track, Killer bassline, !!!!!!

    yeah Chic-ism on that sounds,,

  • Part of the song sounds just like Chic´s My forbidden lover!!

  • That's right! Very Chic.

  • i love this song to death

    very chic sounding????

  • 1981?

  • THIS THE SHIT

  • i pay anythig just to have an original lp of kano

  • Salut et merci centralline14 pour toutes ces perles musicales, ces bomb"ass" californiennes(surtout celle en rouge!!)et L.A qui nous fait toujours réver.Bon séjour,t'as le bonjour de Lyon.BIG UP.

  • i need more kano in my life.

  • Ditto to all of the other comments! I can't get enough of any of the music that was hot when I was in high school and college in the late 70's through the mid '80's

  • I used to have this album.

  • I remember this too. They were certainly influenced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rogers.

  • This sounds like a Nile Rogers & Bernard Edwards production. The same incredible songwriters and musicians responsible for the legendary group CHIC. I can hear the pulsating Bass lines of Bernard, & the harmony clap in percussion rhythm. But I could be wrong lol. Ok song.

  • You Tube has to be the best creation since sliced bread lol...Without you tube it would be impossible to see this video or even hear this tune again after 27 years. BBQ Band, Kano, Chic, Change, High Fashion, etc...all were part of the italian disco era. Great music but still i'm confused on who sings what lol....Thanks Centralline but most importantly thank you YOUTUBE!

  • Those Italian boys knew what they were doing. This is some funky shit!!! STEFANO PULGA wrote and produced it (and played the keyboards), with the legendary DINO D'AUTORIO on bass.

  • damn, i remember this!!!!

  • what the heck was going on with the shirt, LOL. Still love the song!

  • this Footage rocks!!!!! Thx for sharin!!!

  • MR Glenn White has a great voice. For some reason this song reminds me of my Grandmother in the States & when I was over there in the mid eighties. This single is timeless & I'll never remove it from my favourites.

  • Great song by MR Glenn White aka Kano!

    Thanks man.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I have been looking all over for this song in mp3 format but this video is even more of a treat for me. I remember this song from high school when I was either a junior or senior, brings back unforgettably fond memories of when I first really started "chick-chasing". Always thought the lead singer had a tremendous vocal range.

  • Fantastic!!
