  • I think I like this version of Perfect Day better than the BBC commercial version.

  • Deze mensen samen, zo heeft het verhaal nog meer diepte

  • 2:52

  • Reminds me of some 'Perfect Days' in my life. Uplifting. Still Great Artists.

  • muy bueno me encantan ambos!!

  • @sharkeo - My apologies to Mr. Reed and to you. Was highly sorry for Ms. Boyle that night. Just listened to her video of Perfect Day. She did Mr. Reed justice taking his perfect song that makes me reflect on my few "perfect days" with sadness and joy and giving it an angelic voice. Thanks for the comment. I did not know. sorry again.

  • @Clifcar We forgive you, dude. Just get the facts next time, 'kay?

  • Embarrassingly bad singing by Reed. Luckily there's Dr. John.

  • @MartinKoolhoven dr. john sounds like randy newman to me in this. it's weird.

  • @backgammon it's the way he says perfect.

  • Kind of Leonard Cohen-ish...

  • This would have been a perfect moment if Susan Boyle could have sung this song on AGT. Lou WTF?

  • Is Lou Reed a giant douche or a turd sandwich for not allowing Susan Boyle to sing his song at America's Got Talent. Please sign in and voice your opinion. Or you can write in your own description. Personally I think he is a smelly asshole.

  • @Clifcar Lou Reed is a god. Maybe if Susan Boyle wasn't such a fat fuck, Lou wouldn't be completely repulsed at the idea of that toad singing his masterpiece. It's his song, he can do what he wants with it.

  • @Clifcar - Reed subsequently directed her doing a video of this. It was all a paperwork mistake. Get a life you nasty fuck

  • awful a band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dr. John comes off far better in this.

  • heerlijk nummer blijft he

  • this is a misfire.

  • Well Nice Thanx

  • This has always been one of my favorite tunes...if I ever got married it would definitely be my wedding song...even though I always thought it was about drugs...especially H. This definitely isn't my favorite version, but I WILL find a great one and post it...the song is beyond phenomenal, in my opinion. Absolutely perfect :-) :-)

  • such a perfect voice......

    dr john.

    God.

  • i'm a huge lou reed fan but Dr John takes it from lou by a long shot

  • Great duet - THX 4 the video

  • Love you

  • why can't Lou Reed sing a melody any more?

  • @louisguitarslinger dr john is a better singer and a better musician but both are great live in concert whereas Bob Dylan is god awful in concert and to be avoided live.

  • @taariqtaariq ive seen Dr. John live and i agree, whereas Lou Reed is a fantastic musician and someone i love but do not enjoy listening to live these days because of aforementioned problem :|

  • Sorry... major fail

  • Good version. Much better than some others.

  • Show!

I like it a lot. So beautiful.

  • GEVOEL!!! VOEL MAAR!

  • maybe he is a good guitarist but not a good singer for me

  • i've seen lou reed live on jazz middelheim the only broblem was he was tere with is new idea of music it was a total inprovisation and he totally missed that boat

  • he was probably trying a Dylan thang...they say when u go to Dylan concert dont expect to recognise any of the songs...he spends 20 mins tinkling with a few bars of an intro..on the bootleg album u hear someone shout out "just play the fucking song"...anyhow check out my vid of "Lou Reed - perfect day (animated)"..

  • Hell yeah Poifect!

  • It's Lou Reed - you morons who think he is a singer are completely missing the point. It is his song and it is perfect poetry for a Manhatten Sunday. Looouuuuuuu!!!!

  • Its His Song

  • i do not believe you

    my cat is singing better

    i joke

    best regards

  • LMAO!

  • great!

  • what a poifect man to do this duet, given his past addiction to the 'tragic magic'....

  • Feed animals in the zooooooo......

  • Mr Mac has it down. Yeah, you right!

  • what a poifect day

  • Poifect!

  • @EMinorRant lol wot a poifek dyyyyyyyayyyyy!!!

  • @bakabana1966 He he, niet zo denigrerend over Queenfans.

  • I love jazz and music like that (I´ve seen your profile), but I hate people who just think that their tastes are unquestionable the best (it doesnt exist). Why dont you like this IRONIC song... does it make you think? I suppose you dont like thinking about the important things...

  • Great due. Dr Johnson actually contributes something positive to this song and bring out an unusualy flair in Lou unlike that douche Pavarotti.

  • It's Dr John dumbass, and Pavarotti wasn't a douche.

  • hahahhahahah

    "what a perfect day"

  • I think that DR JOHN has a great voice :-)

  • Is it me or does he sing in an Italian American accent?

  • Well, he is from New Orleans ..

  • PISH

  • I love this song, but this version is really bad.

  • this song still makes me cry after years...one of the greatest songs of all times..

  • Juswhen you think you found love again. Perfect day...right...great song, so real.

  • ...time to move on...

  • Well, he's an ally, now....happy trails....

  • This song died the day it become hype

  • What kind of energy do YOU sow before you go? The sisters will hurry up the process, that I KNOW. VA Doc said he was gonna help him, referring to my 'Woodstock's'(LR's Shaman at one time) dying days, and the offerings they gave him.. The essence of this song is what I like. So appropriate.

  • Is it me, or did I see Dr. John cring and try to hide under his piano at 1:26?

  • .....that would be "cringe" :o)

  • Its always interesting to see two great musicians who you wouldn't typically play together performing a song like this. It helps to have an open mind and a true appreciation of Lou Reed's genius.

  • This is fucking hilarious.

    "Wud uh purfet day..."

  • lol

  • marcus miller on bass there!

    Nice

  • ah good one, didn't notice him there until i spotted your comment

  • i like things quirky... love these guys!

  • reminds me of crawfish tubes and stump cypress, you?

  • i like this version

    almost poifect :D

  • Great version. What a "poific dai"! Thanks Dr John. Sure the original is great, but so is this. Nothing wrong here except the people who can't adjust their brain to a slightly different sound.

  • such a perfect song

  • crap version of a great song.

  • This guy is Fucking terrible live.

  • lets keep it cool pps, these ol'guys are just kickin it, musically, and they've both shook the monkeys off their backs long ago.

  • chill out treebeard22. you know what yr talkin' about. i know what yr talkin' about. lou and mac sure know what yr talkin' about. staphinfection is just some candyass who maybe stole one of his aunty's oxycontins. 'cause he sure as shit don't know that skag wasn't even lou's drug of choice.

  • speed was his fave amphetamines and speed

  • Mabye Dr. John has a stronger voice, but when Lou sings... it's magic.

  • it's magic til lou comes in.

  • Fuck you Staphinfection. Go get a fucking infectino and then talk. If you've ever been hooked, you'd never say that. Get a fucking bit of humanity and deal with the changes.

  • Man.... the original version was so good. I don't know why Reed would want to fuck the song up so much. Maybe it's because he's NOT on heroin. Lou, stick to your guns man, go score some smack and give us that same old perfect day we fell in love with way back when.

  • NO NO Y NO

  • i can only agree...the original is way way way way way way better!

  • what a depressing fucking song

  • i like lou singing perfect day because you alomst hear the emotion/pain in his voice... you dont get that with others and i think its good for this song atleast

  • What a great performance. Any idea when this was?

  • no idea, i gues it's in the USA, no further info.

comes from the Fenno Werkman collection.

i think John sings here better than Lou.

  • I think most people sing better than Lou lol.
