  • food wars in the making

  • Americans consume about 5 billion hamburgers a year. It is presumed that most hamburgers are composed primarily of meat. Fast food hamburgers are comprised of little meat (about 12.1%). Approximately half of their weight is made up of water. Think about the water. And eat real food!!

  • Do you know how huge my cock is?

  • At lest i know that McDonald's corporation guarantees the safety on the products you buy at the McDonald's restaurants, the tomatos serve on this cahin restaurants did not have any link to salmonela poisonig but to avoid any problems on the rstaurant custumers the corp pull out all the tomatos and order to dich all the tomatos that every McDonalds had, and after the corp revice clearence on the tomatos the stores had notice to keep using them.

  • that almost makes up for the small amount of cow feces in every berger

  • more terrorism by our own government, just like September 2001. attack of the killer tomatoes.

  • Has anyone done any research on whether this is some test run of a pandemic? Or, could this possibly be the result of bio-warfare?

    It just seems very weird.

  • i'll bet it is a test run for a pandemic or leftovers of chemtrails. remember when it was spinach then green onions, now tomatoes? jeewiz.

  • I don't agree, I think it's just nasty food. It was bound to happen and is grosly underdiagnosed and underreported because of the economic effects it would have if people actually knew how many people were getting sick. ER's wont even test for it, I know because around the 4th of July I ate a Taco Salad from TB, the next 5 days was the most physically miserable days of my life. Had to have 3 IV's for sever dehydration and the ER never tested for Salmonella. All symptoms were salmonella.

  • ShootinArn, Sorry to hear about your bout with salmonella. My wife had a sandwich from W___dy's and spent quite a long day in the hospital. Happened years ago..received almost no empathy, and no concern or alarm for anything but a "common" case of food poisoning. We consumers better do our diligence...as the industry seems bent on covering-up, or over-looking. Anyway...take care.

  • Thanks TWC. Yes, the fast food industry cares more for their profits than the safety of consumers and I would bet even the FDA hides the real stats of how many people are getting sick. This was a hard lesson for me but I'm finished with fast food for good now. I'm not too concerned for store bought food because I always cook it well and wash all veggies.

I also heard once and practice washing melons and canalopes before slicing. Slicing can transfer bacteria from the outside to the fruit.

  • an ex co-worker of mine used to work in the tomato fields in florida and said the would see all kinds of nasty stuff evan when leaving the tomatos outside for weeks at a time to make ketup dont want to gross u out to bad but there more

  • Does anyone know of a salmonella based vegetable wash? I don't want my other vegetables to get crosscontaminated.

  • Why does everybody blame it on other countries? Some of the farms that tomatoes are grown on have Ponds. Some times birds shit in the ponds. The farmers pick the tomatoes OFF THE VINE and can sometimes DROP THEM IN THE BIRD SHIT WATER, Then pick them back up. See? It's not all Mexico's fault.

  • The best thing is the fact that the infected tomatoes will only have a shelf life of abt 2 weeks.whew!.. always wash 'em though..! see my video on growing tomatoes in Georgia ..

  • i saw some Mexicans outside, they took over the house nextdoor already. they were armed with hammers and naildrivers and they were on the roof.

  • omg i'm not eating tomatoes anymore ever. the Mexican government is trying to poison us to take over the U.S.. I'm calling the vigilante group to resist the mexican invasion!

  • Yup. The Mexicans shit and piss in the farm fields. No plumbing in Mexico, you know. What would you expect??

  • Sense the FDA can not keep up with the food and drugs then maybe the government should break that bureaucracy up into separate jurisdictions. A Food Safety Administration(FSA) and a Drug Safety Administration(DSA). At least one of them will not get kickbacks from big Pharma.

  • This is what you get when you allow third-world labor to grow your food. The Mexicans actually shit in the fields while they're working.

  • Anyone who believe this is a FUCKING MORON. Raw tomatoes give you salmonella my ass, watch next they'll be telling the pubic not to go outside when it rains or you could get AIDS. How retarded!

  • The f*ck'n media going wild again! Notice that their are no SPECIFICS. Is it ALL tomatoes? What varieties? Are cherry tomatoes included?

HEY, don't bother me! I'm eating my BLT!

  • Sound like a scare to make prices go up again

  • oh you almost hit it on the head. No it's to allow more vegetables to be brought in from south America. The door was almost closed by Amerocan farmers. So now the goverment is saying all American tomatoes are bad but not the ones from South America. NAFTA at it's best.

  • The illegals are getting mad, so they are contaminating our food.

That is why i grow some of my own vegetables.

  • i hope chipotle doesn't have salmonella let alone pull it.
