This girl could escape and go to the police. They could help her and she could divelop strong character for the rest of her life. She didn't because of fear. Fear means weakness. Weak people don't survive. We learned a lesson: when life brings you difficulties, try to fix things. Don't wait them to fix themselves.

I'm an atheist, so god isn't part of this for me. But, I can see some valid points. My question is, how should you treat someone who you loved, got serious with (seious relationship), and later after the break-up, you start realizing all of the unfortunate hints. James 1:13 proves he doesn't want bad for us. when bad things do happen he may ALLOW us to go through these things because they can make us stronger and refine faith. (1 peter1:7). My question is, how should you treat someone who you loved, got serious with (seious relationship), and later after the break-up, you start realizing all of the unfortunate hints. Like if I accidentaly worded something a little wrong (seriously a LITTLE wrong) then she would take a few steps back and question me about it, not really showing trust towards me. So far I have not talked to her again because (cont.)

Point #1: Don't necessarily agree. Some people are very sensitive and cry for things you may think aren't worth crying over. Been dating the same girl for 3.5 years and I've (rarely) done/said things that caused her to cry and vice versa. But we talked and apologies were exchanged lol.

And lastly, you're points are not applicable to love, but to lust. "love is not love which alters when it alteration finds", lust and infatuation on the otherhand...do fade, so those "wrong" people weren't love, it's easy to think infatuation is love that's what you're discussing not love

@InLKdream Actually, sometimes God does want bad days for us so that we can learn from them. Once/If we meet that right person, we'll have the wisdom and strength to handle it. God doesn't want everything to be perfect for us because we don't learn from perfect. And he was talking about love, not lust.

James 1:13 proves he doesn't want bad for us. when bad things do happen he may ALLOW us to go through these things because they can make us stronger and refine faith. (1 peter1:7). God never wants bad for us, he in fact wants everything to be perfect for us (that's why adam and eve were created perfect in the first place) but it can't because we are imperfect because our first parents disobeyed and we inherited sin. (Romans5:12). Yes he described lust/infatuation not love.

@InLKdream He DID describe love, but maybe people's definition of love is different from others. God always plans bad days for us but there are good days to follow. He always knows what will happen to us and he helps us make it through it. Like I said, one of the points of life is LEARNING, and we don't learn from perfect, that's why God doesn't have everything perfect for us.

why should the definition of love differ if we are talking about God. The bible tells us what love is in corinthians so it shouldn't differ. What he described doesn't fall under the bible's description of what love is. "GOD PLANS BAD DAYS?" honestly? What kind of a parent plans bad days for their child. bad days just happen. God never "plans" or wants anything bad for you. everything isn't perfect because man lost perfection not because God doesn't want it for us. why then was adam made perfect?

@InLKdream Adam wasn't perfect. He also took the apple, making him subject to temptation, meaning he wasn't perfect. God plans days so that we can learn from them. And love can differ because there are different type of people, meaning no people are the same. Maybe some don't need love, maybe some seek love everyday, perhaps some see love as a benefit and take it for granted. Love can be different for everyone, God or no God. God plans certain days so we can learn from them, then we'll strive.

@InLKdream Firstly I'm pretty young, so I haven't read most of the bible. Secondly, I know that there is no wrong interpretation of love, whether it's christian, spiritual, emotional, or anything. There is almost no wrong way to describe love. And God isn't the only one who can tell us about love. The fact is, this guy gave us some valuable advice. I suppose you can choose to except it or not. And race (human) doesn't matter.

He wasn't mainly focusing on God since not all of his viewers are christian, but everyone sees God differently, sort of like Hindus, there's more than one path to the truth. As hard as it is for people to swallow, that stuff does happen for a reason. Just because we can't see that reason now, doesn't mean the reasons aren't there or that we won't see them in the future. Only God knows the plans for ours lives.

god eventually wants us to be with a "wrong" person, before we meet the right one. i guess its because then we appriciate that right person much more and also are much more sure that it IS the right person. so everything happens for a reason.
i had two serious relationships (both about 1 1/4 year) and now i can say what i DONT want again and what i need or what im longing for. also things happen, when you dont expect them. thats whats just happend to me :)
