  • this is very bad ( low)

  • That actually turned out really nice. Before reading your note, I was convinced you had a mine bag sitting on top of the shell when it fired.

Good job, I like your work and have watched all of your videos.

    -Mike

  • i dont believe that was worth a half years work. i was expecting a boom boom pow! lol

  • Try duct taping all around it really tight and you have an A-bomb :D

  • good but too much effort

  • Dr Schwuchtel... Ein Anruf für Dr Schwuchtel!!!!!

  • Well everything lit! The effects where nice. Try some glue and string around the spollettes between breaks and paste it better. Don't make your pulvo so wet and use some alcohal in the water. It will burn faster. Did you use home made lift?

  • @STYNO94 In the states the date is given in mm/dd/yyyy.

  • @STYNO94 it means 15th may 2010 :)

  • @STYNO94 i didn't know there were idiots in other countries...

  • @STYNO94 lol are you stupd or what?

  • @TheCursedManiac no i am not,

im not stupid, im dutch.that means that im not from the USA.

and for people who dont know that im trolling, try to grow something called brains :P

  • @STYNO94 poor fellow

  • the breaking of the shell is definitely a lot of dust due to the launch. So it takes a lot more paper and string (in the wet wallpaper paste)

  • WOW! NICE JOB!

  • nice......

  • ive seen alot of your videos and the way your mortarts break and the colors are amazing, im pretty good at making my own fire works but i never have the raw materials th build them such as the color stars and large amounts of black powder, were do you get yours from?

  • Waste of time and good powder, it loked very awesome. But that shit is crab! sorry m8.

  • @equals3fucker Oh, let's see some of your fireworks then. If this is crap, I'd LOVE to see what a good firework looks like. I'm assuming your idea of powder not being wasted is cramming it into a tube and watching it blow up right?

  • Waste og time and good powder, it loked very awesome. But that shit is crab! sorry m8.

  • This is some b*llshit, 5inch shell and this is the result? You're worthless, find another hobby, because you're waisting your time. Come on, this looks like shit.

  • Nice shell!

  • really sic

  • @electrobussterr you have to make one yourself :p

  • Damn nice man. Where can I buy it?

  • the pattern is a heart?

  • @cornercat No, rings.

  • nice very nice

  • That sucks about the two fails but the third was awesome :D

  • Its really neet to see how the aerial fireworks that I love to watch are made, keep up the great work and be careful :) Take care, Chellie

  • congratulations! very good man!!!

  • looks cool

  • very nifty! i'm pretty much dead set on having a go myself having watched some of your other videos. i'm on the chemistry forums all the time, am a university science student, and have been reading about pyrotechnics for ages. but never actually seen someone putting them together like this

  • all that wait for 10 seconds eh?

  • good effects ! :)

  • Beautiful!!!! I wish I had your talent!

  • it's still a nice flowerpot

but that was not the mening of the shell

  • To bad the shell didn't go as planned, but that was still very spectacular.

  • Did you top fuse this shell? With the weight of the shell and the amount of lift needed, a bottom fuse will flower pot the shell 100% of the time. Top fuse with 5-7 cardboard spacers cushioning lift at bottom will make this shell not be a waste of the makers time. Just a suggestion, I enjoy your vids!

  • @Tampaslice Yes, it was top fused.

  • great job!!!!!!

  • That was absolutely gorgeous!! Damn! Purple and charcoal gold! Brilliant!!

  • That was absolutely gorgeous!! Damn! Purple and charcoal gold! Brilliant!!

  • man i wanna start getting to making shells but i wanna do the round ones...where do u get the materials to make them? and what size shells do u recommend starting out with? ...

  • @progamerxt Skylighter, pyrodirect and undergroundgadgets are all good websites to order chemicals and other supplies from. I would recommend 2" ball shells to start out with.

  • @Nighthawkinlight will these sights track where chemicals go out to....and how do i get a liscense to make them...

  • @BACKSTABBER692 They keep records I'm sure just like any other business, but it is legal for you to make fireworks for non commercial use. Staying legal without a license is very complicated though, which is why it is very important for you to read the orange book. It is the federal explosive regulation manual published by the ATF and is a must read for anyone who wants to make fireworks. Look it up online, there are a few places to read it in digital form.

  • Wow very nice! d(^ ^)b

  • Now that was awsome!

  • It still was beautiful!

  • nice 5inch multibreak shell...it was long time to wait...but it was worth it.

    great job (like)

  • Nice! Finally got it up there eh?!

  • still very nice i was wondering when this shell was gonna be launched :) but it sucks the it failed in some places but practice makes perfect but it will cost a ton of money so mistakes suck ass lol :)

  • those magnisium inserts worked great what size was your magnesium powder and what else was in them?

  • @PoopSwindler The Mg powder was -200 mesh coated in dichromate and mixed 50/50 with granulated BP.

  • Nice one dude. I love the effects.

  • ive been waiting for this for so longg

  • Yes now completely like it needed to e i see:D bt still freaking awsome^^

  • Hey Ben,

Nice done but I think a little bit longer delay would be fine.

Anything around 4.5 or 5 seconds. In my 4"ball shells I use 4seconds and they

break at the top of their flight.

hope there will come much more videos of your fireworks.

  • @tvieting123 The delay was not the issue, the shell flowerpotted.

  • @Nighthawkinlight Yes i thought so. but these delays between the breaks can be a bit larger, too. next time put the timefuse on the top and light it with a quickmatch. All the maltese guys do it like this. But this was a very nice shell. I hope the next one will be better. *crossed fingers*

  • @tvieting123 I did already top fuse the shell with a spolette and use a passfire. I've done my homework. This was a largest multibreak I have yet to make, but far from my first.

  • @Nighthawkinlight what is flower poted? is that when the shell mostly blew straight up

  • @biggdaddy2001 That is when the shell bursts before it gets to the intended height, in this case, right above the gun.

  • Ben, had you not told anyone, you could've named the video "break mine shell" That was staill a great shell, because i know you made everything in it. Great job Ben.

  • @berger1980 Didn't see you at the last shoot, too far of a drive to make it every time?

  • @Nighthawkinlight Yeah man, it's too far for me to drive all the way up there. I think Mike B and I are coming to the camping one...

  • @berger1980 Yeah it was even a long drive for me this shoot. Wasn't back home till 2:30.

  • cool shell also it there a good way to make youre own mortar and if so will you make a vid on how to

  • @spenfisher2 I'll work on it.

  • @Nighthawkinlight here's a hint when making tubes.......

make them with wheat paste, then soak them in minwax wood hardener.

then let it dry thouroughly (if i spelled that right).

i have been making salami shells like that.

  • Too bad the first 2 breaks went off prematurely. Still an awesome affect NHL! Loved it!

  • you had a NICE ring of reports on the last break. was this shot out of a steel mortar?

if not, then thats a strong fiberglass/HDPE mortar to withstand those kind of forces.

  • @TheBombBros Yes, it was shot out of steel.

  • @Nighthawkinlight well, all in all, it was an amazing flowerpot!

i shoot all of my 2" shells out of steel except for big salami shells (salutes)

    thanks for the upload.

  • Ah, that's upsetting. Wish it would have worked, it would have been sick. better luck next time.

  • @AerotechMan101 It did work, he was filming from far away you dildo.

  • @fireworkgalore Reread the info dude. two of the three breaks failed in the mortar. How about you make sure of what you are saying before you go rubbing in somebodies face that they are wrong and you are right. Thanks.

  • Cool

  • Well you got a really awesome starmine out of it! :P

  • Nice pattern. too bad it blew apart right out of the mortar

  • Finally you fired it! A shame it turned into a multibreak flowerpot, but please, try to make another, i bet this would have looked great up in the sky (:

  • to bad mate:(

  • Comment removed

  • I would have to say "You still got it".

Nice shell, almost looked like a mine/shell combo done on purpose.

  • Thats unfortunate! But I really think you learned something from this so I suspect more multibreaks in the future!

  • AHHHH! At last!

    Really well done!

  • Very Nice !!

  • nice

  • #OMG FIRST

  • @IrishLawless187 how do u do the omg ?
