That is because it is an artistic expression of music. its called sanjo which means scatered music. It will take some getting used to compared to western music but i think its great and very korean tasting.
The rythm at the beginning is a bit complex and hard to recognise - but as it goes on, the rythm is simpler and easier to find - the buildup is quite interesting, I think.
