  • Sometime shortly after my soul became situated in my body, at around 3, I was in the back-seat of a car asleep when I woke up and looked out the window and saw Jesus in the sky. I turned to the others and said, "There's the Man from the river!"

They, my brother and father and his lady-friend, all looked at me and each other, and when I turned back to look at Jesus, He was still looking at me and dissolve to nothingness.

Am I to say that Jesus is a "myth" when I personally know such isn't true?

Personal perceptions and what we call experiences are the worst examples of "reality." That's bcuz we know how easy it is for the human brain to trick us, not intentionally of course. It's just the way our brains work. Our chemistry is highly unstable. We can demonstrate this today with magnetic fields. By using these M.F.s, we can make the brain show us all kinds of imagery, emotions, and hallucinations.

Personal testimonies are anecdotal...and for good reasons.

  • @Cootabux I don't go through my life second-guessing each and every thing.

  • they were responsible for more murders and atrocities than any other concept.even then its money and or power social control. human beings are capable of believing anything even the illogical

  • nero paul most romans were all homos

  • The sacking of Jerusalem was carried out by General Titus under his father Vespasian which would have occurred sometime during the reign of Vespasian around 69-70 AD, not 66, when Nero was still emperor.

  • The Jews were Messianic; hence, they were waiting for a Jesus Christ type of savior; he didn't come; instead the Romans came. When the Gnostics came looking for Jesus Christ; the Jews said he never came! The Gnostics were having none of that! Hence, the Jews were made to be "christ killers". Jews are living proof that Jesus Christ never existed! That's why they were made to suffer under the hand of the catholic Nazies!

  • I do not agree that the Hebrew words for "god" denote more than one god but rather the different sides to god's personality. I agree with most of what you say and I am not a believer in any of these faiths but I am just trying to be fair.

The Ugaritic Texts clears up any ambiguity concerning the Polytheistic origins of Judaism. The U.Texts were of the Canaanite pantheon, which is the same gods the Hebrews worshiped, since they were Canaanites originally. When they left Canaan to form on their own, they took the Canaanite gods with them; El, the supreme god, Asherah, El's consort or wife, and El's 70 sons (The Sons of god found in Enoch). Of El's 70 sons, we find, Baal, Yam, Mot, Haddid, Yahweh, etc.

  • OF COURSE the Dead Sea Scrolls do not contain any mention to Christianity. The first Christian writings were just seeing light when Qumran was abandoned.

  • You should have the part after the main title, because its cut off in the shortened title in the right side bar.

  • Blah, religion sucks but it's fascinating.

  • JESUS didn't exist, but Yahshua did.

  • Samaritans vs. Judeans. The Judeans were "scapegoated" for the murder of Jesus? You can read Josephus for yourself and you will see the Idumeans [Judeans] killed the high priest Ananus and the former high priest Jesus of Gamala. The Judeans joined the robbers who were desecrating the temple in the civil war leading up to Rome's sacking.

You need to explain why you're using 66 A.D. rather than 69-70 A.D. for one of the Roman sacking of Jerusalem.

What's your evidence that Nero killed Paul?

  • @SteefenSebashjun the jesus tale was all about the samaritans (zadokites, etc) scapegoating the judeans. what better way to create a competing religion than to say the judeans both rejected and killed the Messiah? the 66-70 dating, I've seen so many different dates for this I just went with the earliest

  • @theemptycross: Hi, thank you for your responses. Are you saying the Samaritans were not appalled by the civil war on the Temple mount that led to its destruction? You've read the account. You've read Jesus speech to the rebels and Josephus' speech to the rebels. In a sense, you're suggesting that Peter's congregation didn't last and Paul's congregation didn't last either; but, there were Samaritan disciples that held together their sector and got canonized. Fascinating. Marcion was their guy?
