Catching Mesprit with an Ultra Ball(Not on first try)

This is why he said you have to train in Speed Ev, so you can go first, or get a quick claw, equip it and use mean look.

Get a golbat and use mean look. Or get a pokemon with an ability that doesn't allow the enemy to escape.

will it have more chance of catching than just 1hp with no status issues?

dude you know how long it took me?...it took me over 3 fucking hours to actually try and catch this little mother f****r...GOD I just caught it like 5 minutes ago, and I am still overjoyed I just can not beleive it...I spent like 50 ultra balls and 30 great balls on that little douche bag...until I was left with quick balls and that's how I caught him, with a quick ball.....I was like, "no no no this is too good to be true...(looks at pc at pokemon center) OMG IT IS TRUE OMG OMG OMG"

hee hee it's right you used an ultraball for catching mesprit, but note that you made it on the 5th or 6th time you threw the ultraball. anyway it's a great video :)

i now i cant find it on the marking map! it isnt blinking anywhere. wat can i do to get it back!!!

when it faints it will never come back if you saved after it fainted you should have saved before trying to cath it other wise it will never come back

Legendary pokemon can only be fought once, if you kill it and save its gone for good. I would advise you to restart your file as you won't be able to acquire them again.

okay question did you just have to get your Murkrow's speed higher than Mesprit's to catch it? I have one at level 41 right now and Mesprit feels before I can use mean look.

Yes, your Murkrow(or whoever starts) needs to be able to outspeed. I recommend you EV train it in speed and raise it to level 49 so you can use REPEL to avoid all encounters BUT mesprit.

the TM doesn't exist. try getting Zubat, Golbat, Gastly, Haunter, Murkrow or Misdreavus. also makes sure the SPEED stat is quite good and/or make it hold the quick claw to get your turn before it flees. also, sleep-inducing moves like HYPNOSIS (again, gastly and haunter learn this, so these are your best bet - switching out stops mean look) and the damage-dealing move FALSE SWIPE (TM from Veilstone Department Store) will make the ledgendaries easier to catch. good luck! :)

I had a hard time catching it!its health was 1 it was parlyzed and mean looked!OMG!when i threw something it kept caming out!but the good news is,i caught it with a great ball(yes not ultra ball or master ball or timer ball)

super fang is a good idea too, but it takes a couple of turns to weaken it.
