  • I think Eric Dalbey is an AMAZING tenor, he deserves a lot of recognition for that fact. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE Tim Waurick, but he seems to outshine Dalbey a bit, when Eric's still disgustingly brilliant.

  • Unbelievable hold by the guy on the left on the last note.

  • Well done lads.

Thought the fella on the left would turn blue at the end !!!

    Great job.

    Liverpool UK.

  • Ladies and gentlemen, presenting Tim Waurick! (oh yeah, and Vocal Spectrum too) Just kidding, all four of you are awesome!!!

  • Clapped during the tag. Penalty: death.

  • Love that it's actually Eric and not Tim who cuts of the last chord! Amazing live performance.

  • Was this at the CSD fall convention?

  • now who is singing saprano I wonder?

  • @CubingGenius97 from left to right, the roles are: tenor, lead, bass, baritone

  • @CubingGenius97 That would be Tim Waurick. AKA GOD.

  • And this, ladies and gentleman, is what we call "real talent."

  • I actually performed with these guys in a chorus, it was pretty awesome, and intimidating. I gave them all high-fives.

  • Holy hell he held that last note for 30 seconds. What a champ.

  • this. group. is. HYPER-awesome!!!!!!!

  • Hi. The laws of physics obey my vocal chords. I'm Tim Waurick.

  • Who arranged this? I'd love the music!

  • @Jackman24601 aaron daale i think

  • That was awesome!

  • My boyfriend is getting a group together to try and perform this at a youth festival. I have a lot of doubts about it, but if they pulled it off I think they'd have to win.

  • 2:24-2:52 EARGASM

  • *jaw drops* i love the old time classic sound instead of the pop crap you here all the time!

  • 2 people are gay

  • haha last second eric's like. yeah man, yeah. ;)

  • That 5th at the end JIZZ!!

  • no fair, you can see him breathing through his eyelids

  • omg... He holded that note for so long!! That was epic!!

  • Better and better and better......damn!

  • but i do like the scat, now that is classic! :)

  • i'm sorry but this is sooooo corny!!!!!!!!! this song don't even go like that, hahaha

  • @stannasia Say what?

  • @stannasia Of course it doesn't, because Disney didn't have Tim Waurick singing! X-D But seriously, most a cappella groups put their own unique spin on their songs rather than trying to duplicate them (especially barbershop groups because they only have four voices).

  • I take that back. I switched to high quality :)

  • WOW how do u scat in a quartet like that and it be so together?? But I don't like the "accompaniment" drowns out the lyrics at times. Would be better without mics I bet.

  • This is brilliant!

  • One of my favorites. As a tenor myself, I aspire to a 25-second post. One day... *sigh*

  • @LJWDesign You'll get there. It's tough, and I didn't think I could do it. But I was able to get to 30 second posts and I've only been singing for almost 4 years now! :)

  • I hate clappers.

  • This is some strong piece of work

  • I saw VS live in MN. It was the first time I saw a medalist quartet. They opened with When I See an Elephant Fly. I actually let out a laugh on the last chord. For some reason, that was my emotional response. It was like nothing I had ever heard. I have listened to so much online and from the studio from a bunch of quartets, but nothing will compare to that moment.

  • @mattdre88 exact same response! Just ridiculous!

  • UMMMMMMMMMM......

someone needs to tell'em that they won already lol

  • Oh he's good alright. That was a respectable 33 second post he held.

I just wanna know where he stuffed the air hose. And does he teach?

  • damn their sound is incredible tight

  • FUK ME SIDEWAYS THATS AMAZIN

  • The dude on the left from 2:24 till 2:52. Awesome

  • @agoodfriend99 Bro, Tim Waurick is good from 0:00 to 2:52. 'Nough said.

  • @agoodfriend99 that my friend is Tim Waurick, I am willing to put my house on the fact he is the best tenor barbershop has seen and will never be beat.

  • @larkin2404 True dat.

  • Tim needs to go back to school and learn to obey the laws of physics.

  • Does anyone have any idea what Johnny might have said to Tim right after the intro?

  • Who stands up and claps before it's over?

  • @DKTHOMP93 Be there live and you'll realize that sometimes when a world class quartet locks up, and the hair on the back of your neck starts to tingle, you just start standing and clapping involuntarily...Can't really explain it better than that.....but I know what you mean.

  • @DKTHOMP93 If the audience starts going crazy before it's over, that means you nailed it.

  • I like how even as the accompaniment tenor 2 won't back away from the mic

  • @viesca91 I'm not sure how much you know about barbershop harmony, but there is no "accompaniment" and there is no part called "tenor 2", so I don't really understand your comment.

  • @XarionGod don't the parts run: bass, baritone, tenor 2, and tenor 1? I'll be honest I don't know TOO much about barbershop harmony and how their stuff runs but that's the usual setup for a regular choir isn't it?..and if you don't have the solo part then you're accompaniment..tenor 2 usually has the solo line...

  • @viesca91 In barbershop, the parts are bass, baritone, lead, and tenor. It is similar but not identical to a standard/classical setup, but the vocal ranges of each of the parts are different (vs. the operatic scale). Barbershop is all about creating a blend--a single, unison voice--and if any of them backed away from the mic it would detract from the sound of the quartet. Vocal Spectrum is also well known for featuring their baritone and tenor on melody lines, so those two often step forward.

  • 2 people must be able to hold that note for an extra 10 seconds....

  • No other quartet will ever do it this good. Done.

  • Five years removed from winning gold, and their sound only gets cleaner and tighter. GO VS!!

  • WOW Best guys in the world!!

    Seriously AMAZING!!!

just beautifully together, locked and resonant!

  • It doesn't get any better than this

  • pretty awesome

  • It's not like he has posted more before...lol jk he definitely has. Insane.

  • you can tell Tim would want to keep on going with that post!

  • To all those who think Tim is a great "post"-er, there's one guy he has yet to beat and that's Todd Kidder. I personally saw him post a note for 52 seconds on stage. And I later heard from him that he came off stage and said he could've gone longer. Props to Tim and Tony (DeRosa), but Todd is still the king! : )

  • @Barinumber1 Hmmm, Todd Kidder...tenor of VocalEase when they won the Far Western District Quartet Championship if I'm not mistaken? 52 seconds is most certainly incredible, but Tim has matched that length twice--52 seconds on one of his learning tracks and 52 seconds on the song "Five Foot Two" off his "TimTracks" album. In order to determine who is "king", the two would have to go toe-to-toe, and absolutely no disrespect to Todd, but I do believe Tim would take him out ;)

  • @Barinumber1 Todd's wearing how many gold medals around his neck? There's much more to it than just posting a note for the longest time....you know that. Kudos to Todd, but.......

  • Did anyone else notice that Tim blinked like 7 times at the beginning of his post? Lulz.

  • @Esandcircle01 he's probably astounded by his own awesomeness. the rest of us are!

  • Hi. My vocal chords obey the laws of physics. Just kidding, I'm Tim Waurick.

  • Audience= TWATS! (Shakes head dissaprovingly)

  • note to audience: never...EVER...start standing and cheering until the ending chord is over!!! please!!!!

  • encore encore !!! I need more!!

  • That last tag lasted 27 seconds. I am not worthy...

  • It's fun to watch Tim Waurick pretend that it's difficult

  • I can do 26 but 30 ....no way

  • I didnt think a 30 sec note was humanly possible. I WAS WRONG. WOW!!!! Incredible!

  • @Huntivias Ha, the 30 sec tag is short compared to some that Tim can sing. Listen to the Cruella DeVille recording. the last post is just over 47 seconds.

  • Yes!!!! This is awesome

  • This is my new favorite thing in the world...

  • His lungs must be as big as a skyscraper, oh my wow.

  • I love the guy on the far right. He seems to be very much in it!

  • WOW! Jonny on the G at 2:00! U get em man!

  • Tim Waurick does not breathe. He just sings instead.

  • Love it!! You guys are the best sounding barber shop quartet I've ever heard! The chord changes were perfect and y'all blend tremendously

  • I came, I saw, I heard, I came.

  • If these guys went on a singing/talent competition (sing-off, america's got talent, what have you) they would clear the field easy. The world needs to see this level of our hobby. This is a secret way too good to keep!

  • is it just me or have they step up their game big time? (if that was even possible)

  • still tight as always

  • How I wish people could refrain themselves from applauding on the last chord. It must be pretty hard not to do it though, just watching this video had me jumping on my seat. Amazing

  • @trudbol Amen. To both parts of that comment haha

  • Jesus Christ...I just wish the damn crowd would have waited to make so much noise!

To the crowd's point, however, which one of us can honestly say they wouldn't jump up and cheer when that chord locked hehehe

  • These guys are pros!

  • 30 second post from tim. The rest of the quartet doesn't even need to worry about hanging him out to dry!

  • Eric is one of my favorite leads… just brilliant and I love how lightly he hits those high notes and doesn't overpower them

  • I wish the audience would've let the chord ring...

  • The third album is gonna be outta control!! VS keeps getting better and better. And, still, four of the most humble guys you'll ever meet. A fan for life.

  • I heard this live a couple months ago. I was laughing out of insanity and confusion at the end of the tag.

  • WTF

  • Can't stop watching this video! Vocal Spectrum are incredible! And Aaron Dale is a genius arranger. They're all having so much fun in this video. Brilliant stuff!

  • they will forever be the champs.

  • I think I have watched this video at least 25 times this week. haha Love it!

  • Tim blinks a lot when he starts posts.

  • the quality of sound that your camera is able to record is GOD TIER

  • @blackiron44 I think that it might be Vocal Spectrum just being god tier lol but it's a canon vixia hf s10 with just the built in stereo mics if you wanted to know. I really love this camera.

  • @nwmusic06 also how amazing of a mic that's being used

  • thanx for your upload!

  • Are you freakin serious!?!? Holy crrrrrraaaaap!!

I wanted to write this within the first 30 seconds but couldn't take my eyes and ears away.

  • Eric's a champ!

  • 29 seconds on that hanger? I posted a couple RR4 songs form the same show.

  • I demand more video. :D:D

  • @atteheikkinen Don't worry they're coming :)

  • I shat my pants when I heard that tag!!! Awesome, and epic to hear something "new", not the same old chord progressions.

  • This is so good! Vocal Spectrum are the masters!

  • Yea! Thank you SO much

  • OH GOOD LORD! It might actually be the best tag ever! What a song! What a quartet! Thanks for posting! I literally can't wait for their new album now!
