Conan's an asshole......whenever he has guests that are funny he feels the need to try and upstage them for his big fucking ego. He's an attention whore of the highest order. Then, if you notice, when guests with superior talent are on he feels threatened and starts making cracks and insults them just so he can look better. He's a fucking prat.

Yeah it's your show, big fucking deal, we've gone through this before, he has a show named after him, then he gets the tonight show taken and it's his show that's taken. Him, his. I have a feeling he wants to be a bigger celebrity than his guests and that's what I dont like about him. Watch Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel, they're humble enough to include their guests in on the jokes.

@jinoshi Doesn't feel like Kimmel or Fallon are forcing the humor either. With Conan, there is an edge of unfunny that he constantly rides, and he does it brilliantly, because he is self-effacing. But I dont think he is truly unegotistical in his self-effacement, because if you notice, when the audience doesn't laugh at that either, the dead-zone of 'I told a funny joke now laugh because I just remarked on telling an unfunny joke', then he makes fun of the audience, like he couldn't possibly..

@jinoshi ....tell an unfunny joke. Kimmel gets this principle and doesn't drive it into the ground like Conan does almost every time he attempts to be funny. Fallon is self-effacing too, but I think he really means it. Kilborne is the closest to Conan performance-wise but at least his off-the-cuff humor is actually funny and inclusive, as opposed to chocked with nervous energy and awkward compensations for the humorless voids. Letterman might as well just read the phonebook and he'd....

@jinoshi ....get laughs because his audience laughs almost mechanically like Pavlov's dog when the sign comes on. Leno is a little more self-aware of his humor and actually can turn a conversation into something funny as opposed to Conan's nervous banter, but like Conan, Leno is afraid of being upstaged at all times....he just doesn't have the energy that Conan does to do anything about it. Except take shows back, lol.
