  • Is anyone else highly confused by the fake massive rocket launch vs. the real space-plane launch? Are they planning on spending billions in rocket fuel with a vertical launch... cuz I don't think so?

  • Love the project, but I think this videos laid the cheese and corn on a bit thick...

  • Too much focus on private enterprise, not enough on back yard amateurs. As much as i'd love it to be, i really can't see any rover getting there by 2015.

  • Very nice :)

Crowd shots were awfully rendered though : |

  • Love it :-D

  • I love this. And I even love the sentimentality of it! What other venture could justify it, really? you go Team Human.

  • Disappointed this has such few views. This video touches on it all. Our offshore island. Massive resources. Near unlimited power(in relation to what we have currently). You guys nail the exact reason PERMANENT wants to get there.

  • Good old Vector symbol again I see? All the effort is going to hell then...

  • The Ares V (the rocket shown in the video) won't be used for a mission like this.

  • love it finally here

  • F*cking Politicans ... if they would spend half of the money they spend for useless stuff to their Space Agencies we would have colonized the entire solar system by now.

  • that is beautiful

  • cool prize but stupid video. solar panels with silicon from the moon. are you serious? we really have enough silicon on earth! this will never ever happen.

  • @a2572208 The idea is to build it on the moon so you don't have to launch it up there . . . they will have to be the size of football fields

  • This is insulting, put out 30 billion UP front and let the real players and all they know share in a fair teaching-learning ground for some more money with those that have already been to the moon and spent that much getting there back in the days.

No prize later please, this will make a stress, the prize is knowledge, discovery, and what's on the moon this time will be searched for. No landing in some moon desert by manipulation to hide a fusion reactor and cities and aliens already there.

  • @ouivalerie on 2nd thought the people that control printing presses, and can steal money rather easily, probably spent 30 trillion on themselves and getting their own way. And they STILL want to maintain control over people after being that selfish. This selfishness and secrecy has made them extremely paranoid and chicken and they will have to pay and pay and pay for help as long as they are wrong. 30 million is a JOKE and a TRICK, don't fall for it. Van Allen belt won't let a rocket go by it

  • @ouivalerie Yes, they are the paranoid ones...

  • Look at what is said to be a fusion reactor plant at 6:22. Why is the spot so lit up and bright? We already know that most of the moon landings, probably all of them were done in the desert right on EARTH and it's all HOLLYWOOD, and it's controlled by the Jewish who agree that money and control is most important and work for the annunaki and ultimately have a job making people WANT to live and this 2-bit sad attempt is a fail.. Well, I see they still have some victims that just don't know yet.

  • Wow, if only I was a genius...

  • This looks really great, but if will be extremely difficult.

  • I love space exploration, I love free enterprise and I love prizes! What more can I ask for? Thank you X Prize! :D

  • Wtf, is that Wall-e on the moon?

  • I want to see a man steps out on an other planet in my life!

  • I believe in humanity

  • the acting in this video is kinda creepy

  • thanks!

  • Glad to see that there is now a HD version of this video available, thanks!

  • Why are you showing footage of Ares V in this video? I thought that's NASA's future cargo carrier. Don't you have a video of the Falcon 9 rocket?

  • The original (non-HD) version of this vid is from a while back - ~ May 08 - so they didn't have high-quality CGIs of F9 (it wasn't assembled on the pad till Jan 09).

SpaceX have some great imagery of F9 on the pad in FL at spacex . com / updates . php (remove spaces)

  • OK thanks. I don't see why I got downthumbed 2 times though. All I did was ask a simple question. To all SpaceX fanboys: I am not against privatized space travel. What's your beef with NASA anyway? They don't do things cheap, but if it wasn't for them the space industry wouldn't be what it is today.

  • Go X-Prize !!!

and all the Teams, best luck !

  • Thank you guys. I am 21 and I find it ridiculous that we have not been back. I wasn't born until 19 years AFTER Neil first landed on the moon. So I'm glad someone got fed up of *just* looking at the moon after 40 years. I wish the entire program a lot of success. I will always try my best to keep up and educate my friends on the subject. Thanks again!!

  • @digitalimpulse They never went to the moon in most cases, the Van Allen Belt is controlled by the aliens and they made it up in Hollywood for what people saw. They just wanted to think they were giving people hope. What's on the moon, is a secret so big it's got the answers to life itself. As far as I can tell, the grey aliens scoot about in ships picking up your soul when you die because Earth is a prisonplanet. Evolution was/is done by genetic engineering in secret places for slave labor.

  • @ouivalerie Ummmm....WAT.

Seriously have you tried reading the shit you just posted.

  • @ouivalerie You are retarded and stupid!
