Omg, I do the same thing with my cat! I'll go into the bathroom, and she'll be there sitting at the sink counter meowing at me til I turn the faucet on. When I do, she proceeds to drink from the faucet :] but she won't drink unless I'm there, it's weird. If I leave the room she'll stop drinking and sit up and stare at me til I come back in the room.
