I think the standing ovation from the audience was merely due to the fact that their restraints had been removed and they were all trying to make a dignified dash for the exits!
I don't think anybody will come up with such an extraordinary show dance ever again - thank the Lord! It's only bearable to watch again because of the improved music and the wonderful comments from DS forumites - you jellus hatahs, you! :)

I had completely forgotten how utterly hilarious this showdance was! And to think that Austin and Erin didn't get to the final - we got this instead! Still it does deserve its place up there with Puppetgate in the "What were they thinking?" awards for Strictly choreography. Great video with all the comments - priceless!
Priceless vid. Brendan got on my tits this year but he is a great showman so I was expecting a great showdance. Boy was I wrong but I'm glad I saw Brendan's hubris sink them both - it's one thing for a pro to choreograph something that is too difficult for their celeb but Brendan actually manages to do it to himself with one of the lifts - even Dummygate didn't have that. Like the Tomilla showdance this was a big justification of the public rather than judges opinion.
