  • Fabulous guitar, fabulous voice. This was my youth. I loved it and still do.

  • Not to be bitching but this is the cut version, not the one off Chicago Transit Authority.

  • this is such an AWESOME song☻but i hate that the single version (this is the single version) had to cut out the WHOLE damn solo! thats the the Best part. Oh, Thank You Great Spirit.

  • yes sir in yhe meantime kiss my ass

  • Terry Kath, so so good so so unrecognized

    one of the greatest guitarists

  • @Byung7 Yes he was great soulful vocalist as well.

  • Normally I would agree that songs can have many different interpretations, but I always thought this song was SO obvious.

Waiting for the break of day - Because it is 6 till 4 in the morning.

    Should I take some more - LSD25.

Should I take more LSD or face the reality that it is almost 4 in the morning.

Heroin or booze may make the room spin but only LSD make it sink.

All the other lines are things people do on an LSD trip.

If my head's in my ass, so be it.

  • Guess what this song is about heroin, All u have to do is just listen

  • Unlock a strange beast

but, Terry Kath was an amazingly individual virtuoso guitarist

plenty of good guitar players out there, none really like him

he has a style all his own, with vocals no less

  • Now i remember what i came on youtube to look at over 3 hours ago! It was this!

  • i loved playing this in band

  • me and my dad had an argument about the title, he said it was 250624 and i said it was 25 or 6 to four, im too young to know this and im right, i finally get to shut him up, i shud of put this in one comment

  • trombone for the wolf

  • i played this in my band

  • Ok, The name of the song "25 or 6 to 4" is the time on the clock of the songs main character for lack of a better term. If you actually listen to the lyrics you realize it's about a writer, of whatever kind having writer's block. It's really simple if you just do a little research or god forbid actually listen to the song.

  • Bieng a man

  • taking a break

  • I heard that he (Peter Cetera) was writing a song and was awake at 3:30am. He looked at the time and it was 25 or 26 minutes to 4am, so 25 or 6 until 4am.

  • wat does 25 or 6 to 4 mean???????????

  • @milkweed34777 It's actually called 250625 and it's the zip code for chicago.

  • @GruntRampage thank you very much :)

  • It is the mighty half bird of the sea

  • stop looking for meaning inside of lyrics you fucking idiots- there meant for different interpretations - half the fucking time your morons do you end up killing your self cuz the song told you to- do us all a favor and pull your fuckin head outa your ass and just enjoy great music for what it was made to be-

  • @cannonsfade fuckin A

  • @cannonsfade You seem to have a lot of anger about something miniscule. How about you just keep to yourself and appreciate the music you're listening to? People are free to do what they want, and I'm sure the artists wouldn't mind their fans looking up lyrics and meanings to their songs. It means they cared enough to actually check.

  • lol @ first i thought it wuz a phone number. minus a number

  • damn you young folks dont know anything! 25 or 624 are different types of LSD. As with so many songs in the 60's and 70's it is a drug reference. Listen to the words with that in mind and it becomes a whole new song!

  • @sonicathehedghog it's so sad but it's true

  • @sonicathehedghog No, you are stupid. It is only about the dude trying to think of lyrics late at night. (3:54AM)

  • @sonicathehedghog it's talking about the time being 25 or 26 minutes to four in the morning.

  • @TheNikolai6969 i wish it was..........

  • @sonicathehedghog sorry we weren't alive then. our mistake. we'll just shut up now

  • @sonicathehedghog >every song is a drug reference herp derp

  • XD then i way the fuck off i though it meant 25 minutes till 6! wow

  • @tamerswan no, 6 to 4 means 6 x 4, not 6 + 4.

  • @tamerswan yes, but 6x4=24, so 25 or 24?

  • this song sounds dirrrrrrrrrrrty on vinyl

  • @PATTYKAN3 i have to agree hell yeah

  • @tamerswan Why yes...yes I am

  • @MrBuzzsaw44

My mother is dead. So that's really weird.

  • @beatlehighlander What the hell are you talking about? This sounds like no Green Day song I've ever heard.

  • @beatlehighlander That is the dumbest thing I've heard today.
