Err, MJ is better than Wilt. Don't get me wrong, Wilt was (statisically anyway) the best center ever, but MJ would've found a way around him. Wilt today would be an oputstanding center, but he would not have grabbed 55 rebounds in one game. He would not be statiscally as well as he is now. I think that Wilt would have done pretty well today. Remeber that he played against Kareem Abdul Jabbar and i have a video of Wilt blocking Kareems hook shot 2 times in a row. Wilt is the only player i have seen block Kareem´s hook shot. Of course Wilt wouldn´t have the numbers he had if he played today but he would have been among the top players today.

Against the weak centers now and the way they allow guys to puch in his great numbers would go up. Wilt would destroy the NBA. Imagine a center faster than Kobe,stronger than Shaq with work habits like Rodman? Wilt was that and more.

No way. He would be an all star probably the best center in the league but he wouldnot average anywhere close to 50 a game or get 100.
The athletes are too good now and the defenses are too sophiticated for that to happen. Wilt would face a hard double team from a 6-10 power forward and he would have to pass it out.
Different level of athlete these days. By the early 70s the players were better athletes.

There were plenty of 7 footers then. He played against great centers. After Shaq and Duncan it's really weak now. Wilt would be even better in today's game. They wanted him to come back when he was 50 years old for a reason.

There were a few 7 ftrs but they were all goons with little coordination or talent. They couldnt move and had little agility.
Russell had all those things though he was only about 6-9.

There was 3 seconds. The guy guarding you was ALLOWED to put his hands on you. There were 8 great centers in the NBA then and now there are only 3. Wilt in todays game gets 40 pts, 30 rebounds, 15 assists and 10 blocks a game. He was the fastest player on the court.
