  • this is the best video of wilt chamberlain clips i've ever seen

  • Why would anyone dislike this...

  • too bad the clip is so broke up because this is a great show

  • not only did he help women athletes in track and field he slept with them too hahaha

  • great vid

  • Very nice. Thanks for sharing!

  • Wilt Chamberlain is the best player in the world.

  • Shaq woulda do in any era. oh, keep crying. Can get that 300 pound frame with the factor (food/nutrients, gym equipments, trainer, etc.)? the answer is, NO!

  • he was jus tall shaq or yoa ming can do dat

  • damn man the video starts to mess up in the middle.

  • FUCK YOU PUSSYASS chiapetsrule BITCH!!!!!

  • 7-0 or 2,13

  • Fo ypu have a menatl problem? Wilt was 7-1-16"

  • how tall is he?????

  • 7'1''

  • 7 feet 1 and in his prime around 290

  • to some extent. (he did lead in assists one year) but you have to be to be successful on the team he was. and, no shit, 100 points doesn't come through passing. you could call kobe a ball hog, but he's never scored 50.4 ppg in a season. nuff said.

  • The Year Wilt averaged 50 did they have the offensive Goaltending rule yet? I know they changed it at some point early in his career.

  • goaldtending doesn't matter, wilt scored 68 against chicago in 1967 and 66 against the suns in 1969.

  • Yeah but 100 is quite different. Goaltending certainly made a difference in that era. Guys didnt have the size or athletic ability to compete against him. Espeically when the lane was so narrow and he was able to stand in the key all day and dominate with his size and strength.

They changed the rules because of Wilt.

  • Yeah, but he only scored more than 70 points two times, the 100 points day and 78 ina 3OT, The he always scored more than 60 33 times, and many of them after the golatending rule was created.

  • KOBE DID GET 81 POINTS.........

  • Wilt got 100 in the days without 3 pointers. I'm not trying to diss Kobe though.

  • wilt was amazing he did have 100 my grandda was there he kept track because he was probably wilts biggest fan. so if your saying he didnt have it then you go out there and score 100 points 55 rebounds and 13 blocks in 48 minutes then you can say whether he did it or not ok THAGREATONE

  • WILT WAS THE BEST CENTER EVER

  • R. Kelly loves kids!

  • ~~~FOR EVERYONE!!~~ let;s not forget he scored 100 points when there was no such thing as 3 pointers. SO for all that is talking crap lets see kobe or someone drop 100 points w/o three's

  • Wilt is the best

    he is unreal.

  • the song is THE WORLDS GREATEST by.r.kelly

  • Hi, Does anyone have this with GOOD sound. Thanks

  • whoever says that the defense today is better must be insane. young people, wilt had to contend with the best centers of all time, in case you forgot about russell, reed, thurmond, and jabbar. today's NBA? touch an opponent and you get whistled for a foul. in wilt's day, you grab his arm and you wouldn't hear a squeak from the refs. he was so battered by opponents that he considered retiring after his rookie season.

  • "this is the greatest player that ever played" Thank you Chuck

  • I personaly belive shaq in his prime was the center ever, he was so huge and athletic. Jump7up, the game was not harder back then, it was much easier, especially for wilt. there was no one even close to his size and abillity and the defenders today are much better and stronger.

  • nahh basketball is an ever evolving sport so if wilt played now, I agree with gavinhemmer but i aint dissing the stilt, he'd be just normal. basketball has been revolutionised too many times for the stilt to keep up with today's game.

  • lol

  • Shaq would dominate him.

  • lol

  • There is Nobody there would go near those records :b Kobe had 81 points.. allright... BUT 55 Rebounds! Bill Russell had a 51 rebound game and two 49 Rebound Game.. that is close xD

  • Do you know how many athletic 7 footers there are in the NBA right now. Im not dissing Wilt or any thing, but maybe your right he still would be pretty good if he played today. But Shaq In his hayday was a muscular 300 pounds.

  • Wilt was muscular too

  • no doubt he was the most dominint player in his day, but if he played in the NBA today he would just be pretty good.

  • not at all hemmer he would eat up shaq and any other center u know he was 7'1 and a muscular 300 pounds

  • thank you

  • the best player, the lame shaq wouldnt have a chance, todays nba is a chlds game. The game on wilts time was harder and better. There is a reason why nba wanted him at age of 45 and 50.

  • the best basketball player of all time with jordan and russell. he was the goliath of basketball during his career. bill russell was the david. he was that good, he could make russell seem like a little boy. yet russell somehow beat him time after time.

  • Russell had two huge advantages over Wilt.

    #1 he was quicker.

#2 he was smarter. Not that Wilt was dumb but as a player Bill was uncommonly intelligent. Its what separated him.

By 1966 their supporting casts were pretty equal yet Russell`s teams took 3 out of 4 championships over Wilt`s boys. 66,68,69. Russell was even past his prime then.

  • That guy seems good. When does he come into the league?

  • 1559 or 1558

  • The Greatest

    Respect

  • There will be no one like him, Wilt was a true leader in life . Every one copy's him, and did not copy anyone. Can you emagine him today in a pair of Nikes!!!!

  • Sure he's good.

But he wouldn't have been able to do what he did back then now.

I mean, name the defensive team back in his day.

No one could stop him. And he took advantage.

  • i agree with with keepsmeaway wilt was sick but the defense back then was garbage he wouldn't be doing as much before if basketball was same as before imagine how much points kobe would drop and how much assists nash would get

  • ti jsut read ur comment about wilt. he died in 1999 so what do you mean "Now"? and even though if he was alive he wouldnt be able to do it cause hes old think abt it he was born in 1963 do the math

  • Dude compared to Wilt the Stilt kobe is nothing

  • Fuck kobe, Chamberlain was a legend

  • lol tracy i rad ur comment about wilt think about what ur saying there diffrent postions.

well kobe is my fav. b-ball player..=/

  • wilt chamberlain scored 100 points because he has 4 overtime.

kobe bryant scpred 81 point for a game with no overtime.

if kobe have 4 overtimes he mite score over 150 points.

  • i dnt care wot u say! wilt scored 100 points in a game! kobe scored 81! hu cares bout overtime? he average over 50pts a game fo the whole season? kobe aint doing hat is he?

  • The game WIlt scored 100 points didn't go to overtime, as a matter of fact the game ended with 40 seconds left in the 4th quarter, and the team he playing against was freezing the ball and he still scored 100 points.

  • wilt didnt go 2 overtime..and he did it with no three pointers may i add

  • chamberlain eres el puto amo

  • wtf happened to the sound???

  • You know, Wilt never hated anyone, never acted like a gangster and was a gentleman every time I saw him. he was an is the greatest basketball player that ever lived. He was also probably the greatest all around athlete who ever lived. There is no way to compare people like this. It is why we have words like "incomperable". Do some reasearch and don't be fooled by today's BS hype. Show some respect for someone who was truly excellent in every way. Please.

  • I agree 1000%

  • 100 points in a game? godamn this dude set the bar high for others to follow...Kobe knocked him out of second all time scoring, and if he keeps playing the way he has over the last several games avereging 55 a game...who knows? he might get 101 one day eh?

  • yall need to stop comparing players from different era. there's no way you can do that. true ballers take what had been done in the past and make it better

  • lol 69th coment

  • If Wilt joined the NBA now, he wouldn't score, rebound, assist and block as much... The NBA has changed ALOT! Defence got a lot better and stuff... So that's what I think ;) Dont hate :P

  • shut it nigga

  • aaaaahh! im sick of it! how could this way be? niggas hating niggas, niggas killing niggas? that could be the reason why this world cant unite and understand each other!

  • dude shut da fuck up seriously

  • Saw him play a 100 times. Wilt would block half of Shaq's shots and get EVERY rebound from him. I recall one game I was at..38 points, 32 rebouts, 9 assists and ELEVEN blocks. Wilt was the best.

  • He was the best player in nba history...

  • hahaha.. bler bler bler bler bler i can ot hear anything at 2 min

    lol

  • His actual basketball skills were pretty good but he towered over everbody but still having the coordination of shorter players.

  • But the city of Philly, like it did everyone else, still ran him outta town...!

  • thx everybody comment

  • The sound goes to hell...

  • man he was an awsome player, depite what other people say, RIP, and thats a good song, who sings it?

  • R. Kelly. Its a song from the "Ali" movie soundtrack, "World's Greatest"

  • i love him but its, easy to score and grab rebounds at numbers of 100 and 55 when your towering over everybody in the leauge he still a beast !

  • wilt was the greatest offensive player of all time, but the best centers played in the late 1970s, 1980s and 1990s ( Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Shaquille O´neal, Bill Walton, Patrick ewing, moses malone, Kareem abdul jabbar)

  • Great players but Wilt was a much better rebounder. Think of a much bigger Dennis Rodman. Wilt went for the ball. Chick Hearn said in the days before they kept records he saw Wilt block 26 shotd in one game and yes the goal tending rule existed. I was at a game where he blocked 16-18 including beating a guard down the floor who was on a breakaway. The NBA has NEVER seen anything like a 28-29 year old Chamberlain. Most co-ordinated big man ever. I was there.

  • Thank you sir. I'm glad someone can give some confirmation on that. I get tired of people who think the greatest players who ever played are all from the last 2 or 3 years.

  • I love the game an all the players you mention are truely fantastic. Ask them and they will tell you no one (no one) was better than Wilt. Do some research he played against some of the greatest players ever. Russell, Kareem, Thurmond, Reed the list is too long. Please lvoe the game and go read and watch these games. Look at the comments of Julius Erving, Russell and Kareem. They called him the greatest who ever played. Always, respect the best.

  • people are using this song for every great basketball player video, love it =P

  • are u serious bruh they played there ehart out they tryed to defend him like hell!

  • Wilt Chamberlain, Wes Unseld, and Manute Bol, the only guys to block Kareem's hook.

  • Not at all. If you were playing ppl 6 inches shorter than you you'd look to be pretty damn good on defense too. He was b4 his time

  • "Not at all. If you were playing ppl 6 inches shorter than you you'd look to be pretty damn good on defense too. He was b4 his time"

u are just plain retarted. Wilt would sometime get 10 Blocks per Game, Not to mention he blocked Kareem's Sky Hook a couple of time as well.

  • Kareem 7-2, Nate Thurmond 6-11, Walter Dukes 7-0, Bill Russell 6-10, Willis Reed 6-10, Walt Bellamy 6-11, Bob Lanier 6-11. At the age of 36 he was 1st team all defense, .727 field goal %, league leader in rebounds per game. Shaq is 4 inches taller and 80 lbs. heavier than his closest competitor (Ben Wallace). Interesting how that's never held against him.

  • "NO DEFENSE WHATSOEVER"

    Your Joking right?

  • i did'nt expect that der's still a video of wilt..

this is too old.. but great..

  • yea i say wilt can hold his own no doubt in today's league. he won't be gettin the numbers but definitely a star. leagues gotten bigger, more popular, rules gotten stricter, tougher training produces a tougher league, but wilt was a champ - he could adjust.

his time is past now, but you gotta give it to the big guy he helped make the game what it was today. all the legends of today grew up idolizing and watching the legends of the past, like wilt.

  • NO DEFENSE WHATSOEVER

  • Your Joking right?

  • I think that Wilt would have done pretty well today. Remeber that he played against Kareem Abdul Jabbar and i have a video of Wilt blocking Kareems hook shot 2 times in a row. Wilt is the only player i have seen block Kareem´s hook shot. Of course Wilt wouldn´t have the numbers he had if he played today but he would have been among the top players today.

  • whats it called i want 2 see it

  • There´s a video called the NBA´s 100 greatest plays, in the category of blocks you can see Wilt block Kareem two times in a row. I think you can find it here on youtube.

  • Against the weak centers now and the way they allow guys to puch in his great numbers would go up. Wilt would destroy the NBA. Imagine a center faster than Kobe, stronger than Shaq with work habits like Rodman? Wilt was that and more.

  • No way. He would be an all star probably the best center in the league but he wouldnot average anywhere close to 50 a game or get 100.

The athletes are too good now and the defenses are too sophiticated for that to happen. Wilt would face a hard double team from a 6-10 power forward and he would have to pass it out.

Different level of athlete these days. By the early 70s the players were better athletes.

  • dude how many times do i have to ask you to stop talking to me, im right ur wrong get over with it

  • ok then tell me why the other 7 footers couldnt do the things he did huh u dumbasses

  • maybe cuz wilt was the only player that resembles half of what a 7 footer in the nba represents today..

  • There were plenty of 7 footers then. He played against great centers. After Shaq and Duncan it's really weak now. Wilt would be even better in today's game. They wanted him to come back when he was 50 years old for a reason.

  • There were a few 7 ftrs but they were all goons with little coordination or talent. They couldnt move and had little agility.

Russell had all those things though he was only about 6-9.

  • hey wiltchamberain, asshole stop sending me comments and harassing me! and take your subscription off my profile, fagfreak!#@#@

  • wilt fuckin sucks..there werent even any rules back then

  • lol ur a dumbass there were rules u fucking retard, that goes to show that u know nothing about basketball so u should learn about the past u fucking bitch!!

  • WHAT HE MEANT IS THAT THE GAME HAS CHANGED SO MUCH, AND IT DOES DEFENSES MUCH STRONGER EMPHASIS! SO FUCK wiltCHAMBERLAIN FUCK-BAG!

  • yea dumbass..i was being sarcastic..ur the retard..there wasnt even 3 seconds in the key..goaltending was allowed..face it..wilt sucked..he was only the product of the rules..ask stern to reastablish the rules that wilt was in and lets see wat shaq averages u pussy..shuhornnoplenty is right..

  • There was 3 seconds. The guy guarding you was ALLOWED to put his hands on you. There were 8 great centers in the NBA then and now there are only 3. Wilt in todays game gets 40 pts, 30 rebounds, 15 assists and 10 blocks a game. He was the fastest player on the court.

  • hey wiltchamberain, asshole stop sending me comments and harassing me! and take your subscription off my profile, fagfreak!#@#@

  • the greatest center to ever play the game

  • hey do u think u can fix the problem you have with the 2nd half of the video id really like to watch the rest plzzzz.

  • this the best video on youtube im the biggest fan of wilt chamberlain and i think he is the best basketball player EVER

  • cool video, but started fast forwarding automatically at about the half way point....i was disappointed because i couldn't understand a word they were saying...

  • They had to remake the rules just about every year because Wilt the Stilt.

  • most dominating center ever...

  • also Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is dominant

  • Remember he got those 55 rebounds over BILL RUSSELL

  • Wilt was the best

  • was that rasheed wallace at the 3 minute mark or somewhere around there?

  • Sheed look young as HELL! hahaha!

  • LOL!
