  • Not in the r&r hall of fame..I guess that's why they call it fame and not talent.

  • Can any of the negative comments made by a few detractors, even begin to

    diminish the overwhelming;APPREICIATION,RESPECT,REVRENCE,CURIOSITY,

& ENLIGHTINMENT this mans ART has created in the hearts & minds of his fans?....Consider for a moment,,what your musical pallette would have been like had we never heard of THE1&ONLY,..Mr.ADRIAN BELEW!.... Alternative:~)

we never heard of ,..... THE 1&ONLY.....Mr ADRIAN BELEW

  • @ThrutAxe

Who the fuck are you? A Fetus?

  • Who dug up Ben Franklin from the grave?

  • I was in a band in the eighties, and we used to do this. I forgot until now. I would die to go back to those times of great music.

  • I saw them last night in Santiago/Chile...absolutely breath taking !!!

One of the best concerts in my life, what a genius Belew is.

  • I live in Portland, Oregon. A few months ago I had a chance to see Adrian Belew perform live at the Alladin Theatre.. Adrian Belew played for years with King Crimson, another of my all time favorite bands. Adrian simply stunned the crowd, he is that good. The Trio is rounded out by the very competent Julie Slick and her brother Eric, both alumni of the Paul Green School of Rock. Portland is a city which celebrates music and musicians. compulsiontowrite.blogspot.com to find out more. Thanks.

  • i love the way adrian looks so happy as he hits notes he originally belted out twenty years prior to this...this is a very human performance of what is (let's face it) almost superhuman math rock.

hope he knows that younger generations are busy delving into his back catalogue.

  • nice guitar!!!!

    FUNNY!

    And runs!

  • @SplinkyStudiosFilms Frame By Frame is one of my favorite songs! I have no idea why this is flagged for spam! Whoever did that is a jerk!

  • @janktunes right with you there matey.......one of the best.

  • @SplinkyStudiosFilms WUUUU!!!

  • ScrumptiousStrat , what a pity commentary.

  • Wow..... really? The voice is in no way flat. I was at this show. Your critique is poor. This is a masterful song. If it's limited, why don't you put up your own video of you playing it? It's far from amateur. And, as for the volume, it was pretty fucking loud in The Magic Bag that night. Adrian is a master of the guitar, and one of the best of all time. Perhaps you are not familair with his work. Check it out.

  • Who can fill Madison Square Garden isn't a measure of who's the best; it's more a measure of who's popular. And, those are far from the same thing. You said that who rocks is a matter of opinion!! But, yeah, Adrian rocks, and that is a fact!

  • so, your criteria for what rocks is A) You have to be alive and B) British. If I had to speculate your age, I would guess 16.

  • Eric Clapton is pure crap.

  • i guess if he based the song around 13 or 14 riffs that would be so much better! if only he thought of that... maybe he'll read this and go back to the drawing board. the vibe here is so in your face i cant see that you cant see it!

  • Whoa....Adrian's getting a little chunky. Still rocks though!

  • Hi funkster, I never heard this guy 20-30 years ago so I can only comment on what I hear now! It IS good that he gives other musicians a chance to work with him and I hope they go onto bigger and better things!

  • Now THAT'S a review. Anyway, I'll admit it's a bit of a raw rendition considering the fact it's actually a King Crimson song...not to mention Belew's not gonna have that silky smooth voice he had 20-30 years ago either. (check out an earlier Crimson version of this song... amazing) But I think this lineup with two very young and talented musicians add a nice twist. Great performance and sound quality? Not quite, but I wouldn't call it amateur either. Just my take. Thanks for being honest Strat.

  • True, but don't most critics give a valid reason why they might object to a particular song or performance?

At least you believe in God, so props to you mate. ;)

  • Tuneless drivel?? You must be a music critic.

    Truly sad!!

  • Tuneless drivel. I've heard amateurs produce a lot better!! This is very much a case of the hype creating the man; not the man creating the hype!!!

    Truly boring!!

  • Then why are you watching it? Did you seek out tghis video just to leave negative comments?

  • My wife and I were there!!! Totally stunning!

  • great guitar

  • i think its great an accomplished guy like Adrian gave these young people a break in his band... I think they are brother and sister.... and he found them at one of the schools like Berkley or something.....

  • actually, they were graduates of the Paul Green School of Rock. Adrian was a "Guest Professor" for the All-Stars and he really liked they're playing so he put them in his band i believe. really cool story!

  • how that hell can u play that and sing at the same time...i know i know, hes pro, but ANYWAY!!! geez

  • once you get a complicated part locked into your hands, you can just sort of put the riff on autopilot and sing along.

i'm not sure how this works with the brain and memory, but it works for me.

  • 2:30 Frame By Frame lol

  • look at his 'kin' hand! what a master! love the album this is from, and this version is fun! hairstyle on him now is something else! : )

  • wow! lovely energy at the place... even the drunken responses from the audience add nicely to the mix... and Adrian plays it like a master.

  • HAHAAHH! This is sick. He looks blissed out to the max. Reminds me of baby snakes! and yeah the crowd should have left it to the professional, though it would have been cool if they did the call and response with more gusto and confidence, Not many Crimson fans? perhaps?

  • i like the word gusto i also like el sabor picante words!!!!!

  • I always loved this tune, and Adrian is a wonderful performer/singer/writer.

If you would not mind taking a listen to my version of this tune, feel free to take a few minutes to do so, it was certainly done in respect - and as a fan.

    All my best,

    ~ Michael

  • Because you asked so nicely I took a look. Normally I would just ignore an ad like that. You did a great cover, very well done.

  • Robert Fripp is still alive dude. Why did you think he was dead?

  • Forgive me if I misunderstand you, but Robert is very much alive. Peace, David :)

  • For the people who said that adrian belew and robert fripp are not writing nor have written, forgive me but someone who says that is a total IGNORANT, or maybe you heard everything they had done....not

  • one of my favourite bands, cool vid, thx for posting. but the retarded people that sang along were frightening me....

  • Fool!

  • outstanding, awesome 2 see adrian still smashing it up. hes outlasted his band. the new band is bangin' N R G

  • I.. wow.. I have no idea how to respond to this sort of BULLshit.

  • What's it like being absolutely retarded?

  • I was there. Great concert!

  • God, the audience sings terribly.

  • 'Aggravated'LOL

  • Yeah that one dude singing along kind of kills this. Someone can't fricking sing.

  • thats no surprise man, 90% of people have terrible voices especially when trying to sing drunk

  • It's incredible how it *seems* simple to play complex riffs and sing at the same time when watching Adrian.

    Thanx for the vid.

  • this is really great
