It gives people the option to buy their health coverage from the government instead a private insurance company. Why is this a problem? Why is everyone so opposed to paying less for health care? That is totally false. The Public Option plan will eventually lead to a Single Payer plan, it just takes longer. The government will use its monopoly power to underbid/squash private healthcare over the course of 10-15 years. Obama is on record saying so himself...right here on youtube. to finish what I was saying about union dues, a year ago our contract was up , we been a Union for 16 years from the very first time they started to collect union Dues , we was having $5.75 a week taken out of our checks now it is up to $9.25 a week because it went up last year because of an election year. When our contract was up we ask how much would we get for Strike bennifts we was  told $12.75 a week and we my not get unemployment , I ask all these years and that amount only got no answer.
