  • hi

  • Very interesting!

  • its sad cuz i think if all of them weren't so full of themselfs, they would acctually mach up with each other

  • LINES--Ladies and Gentlemen--It is all about lines!! Lines of the body, lines of the head, and especially LINES OF THE ARMS! Being a ballet dancer first, I believe I was a little more aware of what BOB wanted in most of his work! Every move I made had that trained LINE!! Whoever taught these wonderful dancers--didn't have an awareness of Bob's LINES!! Close but no "Bojangles" cigar!! Take it to the bank! Gary

  • There are words to this song. It was written by Louis Prima and when he performed it he sang too. There aren't many lyrics, but they do exist.

  • There are words to this song. It was written by Louis Prima. And when he performed it, he had lyrics, not many, but there were some.

  • Seems the sax section had a bit of trouble keeping up at the start, yeah?

  • BEING ON BROADWAY--ESPECIALLY WORKING WITH A GENIUS LIKE BOB FOSSE WAS THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE!! I did several shows with Bob-and I play Gary (myself) in the movie "All That Jazz" (see AIROTICA)--and performed this number for almost 2 years, both in the Broadway and 1st National Tours of "DANCIN'"// This production PALES to that!! Some are OK, but nobody articulated ALL of the little details that made this number COOK!!! My name is GARY FLANNERY--AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BAMK!!!

  • @dancinman17 Airotica is probably my favorite piece of choreography ever to hit the screen. All of the dancers were amazing and the number itself about as powerful as dance can be in expressing an idea. Well done!!

  • Is it me or does this feel like its not sitting properly? we play it at school and its smooth as babies bottom but I'm not feeling it here.

  • i could watch this all day

  • This is what I call "real music" XD and "real dancing"

  • Ken Alan is one the Best Dancers in Fosse. The tap number he does, can't get any perfect than that GO KEN!

  • grosos totales

  • Vette dans!!

  • I am doing a piece to Sing Sing Sing with the whole DANCE department at my school!!!!!!! ( :

  • @Theoz69....wow...what is it like being on broadway?

  • hOW COME THERES NO SINGIN?

  • @MrMason8607 In this number it was decided that the dance would be dramatic enough without the pursuit of lyrics, which actually i think works :D

  • @MrMason8607 because there were no words written for it. It was always an instrumental for swing band.

  • Ken Alan (the blond in the center) ROCKS!!! Obviously mr. Theoz69 has some bitterness toward people with talent. So where are you now mr. Theoz69??

  • @racorr27 No !! I'm a dancing teacher from Scotland doing some research and looking for any info you can give me. I'm so glad to hear back from you...totally not good at this youtube stuff at all!!

  • @racorr27 Hon, he is awesome, but he does look overly enthusiastic. XD

  • I didn't know there were geniuses in the dancing field! Fosse was one, or maybe the only one,or one of two choreographer s geniuses: Fosse and Astaire.

  • I just love this number!!!! there was no one better than fosse! Ben vereen is so talented and I just get great energy from watching I wish I could get up and dance with them!!!

  • I LOVE it when they have the band on stage for thing's like this... just like Chicago ;)

  • 2:08 = SQUEAK lol

  • I love it ..I Love them too!!!!

  • The blond guy in the center look WAAAY too pleased with himself

  • I noticed that too.... and he ain't even all that! I saw the original company in 1978. I wish that cast had been recorded - this cast is just OK.... they are a bit sloppy actually.

  • Well here ya go! I was IN the original company! And when we did it,it was all for one one for all and we Had Zoot Suits! I was the one who swung in from stage left from a bar. I didn't realize how reminiscent Mr Fosse was being until I saw "Kiss Me Kate"

  • Hey now! I remember the original so well.... I don't think that dancing was ever topped; I remember the audience screaming. Did you play the Ahmanson in Los Angeles? That's were I saw it - twice. Hinton Battle and Vickie Fredericks were in the cast. Vickie was the HOTTEST thing on 2 legs. Good to meet a real Fosse dancer!

  • I missed the Ahmanson engagement because I was at that point, sick of touring for a bit, besides, I was in rehearsal for a new show but I made it out to California a few years later. Sing Sing Sing was THE 11 oclock number in the show (among many)and it always brought down the house. Nobody had EVER seen it performed full-out like that w/all the 40's references to say nothing of the sex!

  • Vicki Frederick...GOD she was DIVINE! Where is she now?

  • @Theoz69 hi! i am doing some research and would love it so much if you would share some more of your memories of the stunning Sing,Sing, Sing number.I am particularly interested in how the number was taught and rehearsed by the great man! Did he use any ideas to get you to move the way he wanted you to ..there is so much passion there. Please reply. a Scottish fan!

  • @Theoz69 can i ask you some questions about being in the original please?

  • @Theoz69 ok i'm not evsta101 that's my son!!! please reply to me ...

  • @TheLisaambrose Are you Ken Alan mom??

  • It's called dancing, you're supposed to smile, If you dane than you would know.

  • OK I get it....I think!LOL
