@Loza13x....So you're saying twin-turbos are a new technology? I didn't know that, I thought Toyota had used twin sequential turbos on a certain 2.5L & 3.0L inline-6 Engine, and even Mitsubishi and Nissan have made TT engines before.
Ecoboost was designed to deliver power and torque output equivalent to a typical "6.0 L" or larger displacement V8 while achieving at least 15% better fuel. It's pretty much Ford's new v8 without the need of using 2 more cylinders. They will also be using eco boost engines on there sports cars. I personally give them props for achieving this new technology.
If any of you actually knew how automobiles operate, then you would know that two different vehicle makes have totally different suspension setups. It's not all about horsepower, there are other factors involved that make each one operate completely different from one another. An air intake doesn't make enough horsepower to where it makes a difference that you can feel. Oh, and the Ford still lost that race!
@HawaiianGuy24 i put an intake on my F150 alone and it picked up 22rwhp. and yes you can feel it. also the tundra was tuned for that intake and had gears. read the description
@stuntrider15 Wow, you must be retarded, I did read the description and it says the Tundra had an air intake and a tuner. Nowhere did it say it has gears!!! I am a mechanic and if all you installed was an intake, then no you didn't pick up 22rwhp. You probably just read the little brochure that comes with it. I'll believe you when you show dyno proof.
@HawaiianGuy24 congrats to you, and no there was no brochure dipshit, its a intake the shop i work at makes, and we have before and after dyno results proven on the dyno we picked up 22rwhp with just the cold air intake.
Next time let the guy in the tundra know your trying to race him because you would get wasted I have raced a 4.6 f150 with my 2005 focus and he didn't have a chance
@stuntrider15 Then you shouldnt say "Just intake, etc." Whatever tune you have must be a hell of a tune. An 01 4.6 was like 230 hp at the crank stock, like 185 at the wheels.
@Benchimusprime the 01 4.6 makes 235 at the crank. with an intake only i picked up 16rwhp, with a tune i picked up another 21rwhp. and then i did full exhaust. kooks longtubes, no cats, into a borla race muffler. i saw a gain of 44rwhp from just that alone. truck runs off of E85 now and also has a nitrous kit on it that i spray a 150 shot on
@Benchimusprime next track outting ill get some vids. havent posted anything up yet because i dont want any of my club members knowing what it runs yet lol. as soon as our bracket race season is over ill have plenty of vids
Wow...someone cleaned the comments section up....HA! Anywho, all this did was prove that 4.6 on the Ford has nothing on the 5.7 of the Toyota. Which we all knew the Toyota would pull through. Now...show me a video of the new 5.0 Ford and the 5.7 Tundra and that would be a race!
@ROCKETBUILDER no one did. you deleted ytou original comment. i saw what you said anyway and you deleted it because you were wrong and knew it. you claimed the tundra didnt have 4.10's....and it did. im gonna leave this comment here aswell to show everyone what a dumbass you are. and the new 5.0 would kill the tundra. the damn tundra cant even beat the new ecoboost supercrew lmfao.
@stuntrider15 Dude...you really missed it...you have stolen this video from another person...WHAT A TROLL! Come to find out...I have never posted on this one until today...so this person you are talking about is NOT ME. I OWN A TUNDRA AND I KNOW THAT IT HAS 4:10s!!!! Do you need a video response for proof? The poor ecoboost...HA. Maybe after some major TUNING! The 5.0 would be an awesome race! THERE ARE NO MAJOR TUNES AVAILABLE FOR THE TUNDRA BESIDES A SUPERCHARGER! This Tundra was STOCK
and this was a modded tundra racing a stock F150 4x4. the F150 weighs more and has less power. its sad to see the a modded 5.7L 2wd tundra with more power and less weight barely pulls away from a stock 4.6 F150
@135yota the tundra's cant run with the ecoboost at all
