Once, Harald Edelstam was stopped by Chilean military officers at a roadblock. He was hiding several Chilean civilians in the trunk of his car who was wanted by the military junta. He got out of the car with his diplomatic passport in his hand, walk around the car and said:

"Where I walk, its Swedish territory."

Then he got into the car again and drove off, while the officers just stood staring. He was a hero!

Por suerte existen las coproducciones como estas "El CLAVEL NEGRO" y agradezco el rescate de esta parte de nuestra historia como la del humanista embajador sueco y de los miles de refugiados que fueron acogidos en el gobierno de Olof Palme Primer ministro de ese pais. Por casualidad me toco apreciar in situ la grabacion en el barrio de Av. Matta secuencias de esta pelicula. Viva Chile , viva Latinoamerica y a recuperar nuestra historia por un NUNCA MAS!!!!!
