  • How to send him message

  • its also called as raag rudrapriya ...

  • @vshankar22

Rudrapriya has Karaharapriya's avarohanam unlike Purnashadjam

  • He is GOD! I am in total bliss.....

  • simply fantastic .......

  • interesting version of the kRti

  • Outstanding. Does anyone know what the Raags they're playing are called in Hindustani terms?

  • very authoritative!

  • "Eat your heart out, Van Halen!"

    -George Harrison, on U. Srinivas

  • Listening to this - it is the krithi by muthuswamy dikshitar and people who know the meaning you will identify the greatness, I happened to know the meaning and combined to his eternal rendition...me eyes in tears and takes you to a trance

  • Ez maga a ZENE !

  • This is unbelievable. What kind of mando is that?

  • I saw him live once-- I think it's 5 strings, electric (he plugs in rather than playing through a mic) and i thought it had frets only to 9 or so and above that he was able to slide.

  • Thank You, it's nice to see the musicians and to listen this mystic music, from the Lord to Him... Aum !

  • Beautiful rendition. It is interesting that Shri U. Srinivas renders the ragam rudrapriya as pUrNashaDjam, which as the following scale:

    ArO: s r2 g2 m1 n2 n2 S

    ava: S n2 p m1 g2 r2 s

The ArOhaNam/avarOhanam of rudrapriya is as follows:

    ArO: s r2 g2 m1 p d2 n2 S

    ava: S n2 p m1 g2 r2 s

The absense of d2 and inclusion two n2's in both the kriti and kalpana svarAs suggests this is perhaps a deliberate omission - nonetheless it's a beautiful kriti.
