@11111qweqwe Well in company of heroes you simply can't right click and win the game. If you just bunch your units up into a massive blob(like marines in starcraft)you can get easily suppressed and killed by HMG fire, flame throwers or artillery. Starcraft may have more unit micro, but CoH involves way more strategy and split second decision making. A typical game of CoH is much more fast paced and frantic then starcraft, just saying. Both are still great games.

@stussyboys First of all, comparing starcraft to company of heroes is like comparing apples to oranges. Secondly, just because you control your units as squads doesn't mean there is no micro skill involved, battles are just as fast paced and frantic as in starcraft(and there are more factors to consider like cover, friendly fire and flanking). Lastly, it's worth mentioning that company of heroes is way more critically acclaimed then starcraft is, starcraft only has more players.

big battles can last to about 40 minutes to one hour. especially 3 v 3 and 4 v 4

1 v 1 and 2 v 2 usually last max 20 mins.

I have had a 4v4 stalemate lasted 5 hours and 17 minutes once.

@Emineeeemmm even though this comments old. Try playing the Blitzkrieg Mod for this game. It makes it more realistic. Exp. attacking distance, weapon sounds, infantry combat, and tank combat Ect.

For red alert, command and conquer and all those games for example you first press on the building u wanna build. and when its done you can place it wherever you want. Theres just different types or styles of building.

@sjrlax9 well against heavy armor you need stickies and at guns. however if they have a good arty player, you are fucked as they will bombard all your at guns. the germans are overpowered, it is just how it is. the allies get no non-doctrine arty. german arty uses 4 pop cap, american uses 11. gay shit

@sjrlax9 tactics, german units are genrally of a better quality especially in tanks, the trick is just to avoid taking them head on all the time,,,i dunno say you have a panther to deal with and you have a sherman and an m10, have the sherman draw the panther an use smoke screen to help out and use the m10's superior speed to get behind the panther and kill it

u can download a program called fraps which u run before u start the game and u can set it to record with a hot key eg F10 to then start recording
