I love watching these videos because I find people who can relate to me. Most black people cannot comprehend cutting off the perm. I grow my hair out natural every 3 years or so and then perm it after 9 or 10 months. Everybody laughs at me because they cant keep up with me. One minute I have an afro, the next, perm. I always do my "Big chop" early on (12 weeks after last relaxer or so. When it gets to the stage where it can be gripped for plaits) to encourage the hair to grow better.

@maggiesglam Because she wants natural hair. Hair WILL grow back. Just because your hair isn't long doesn't mean no one else can cut their OWN hair. And, your hair can grow long, too. All you gotta do is just take care of it. MOST people (Including black women) have the potential to grow their hair this length so you can do it too.

Congratulations!! Welcome to being 100% natural!! You are going to love it! 24 months of transitioning is amazing. I did 8 mos and couldn't take it any more the 23rd will be my 4 month 100% natural and even on my worse hair day or week, I don't think about turning back. It's cold here in the northeast and I can't style my hair like I want. I can't wait until the summer to wear my wash and good..my fro. Good luck and no turning back now!

I think it is more like apl from the pics. But it looks wonderful. I'm trying to transition longterm but girl! I don't know what to do with these to type of hair. Straight and kinky. I'm just not ready to chop. I will be waiting for your first natural hair style video. Keep them coming! congrats!

Congratulations!! Welcome to being 100% natural!! You are going to love it! 24 months of transitioning is amazing. I did 8 mos and couldn't take it any more the 23rd will be my 4 month 100% natural and even on my worse hair day or week, I don't think about turning back. It's cold here in the northeast and I can't style my hair like I want. I can't wait until the summer to wear my wash and good..my fro. Good luck and no turning back now!

Aw, you're so cute in the intro. It was like watching an informercial lol :) Anyway, congrats on your b/c!! My hair was about your length when I b/c'ed in 2008, and when I chopped, it was about SL. It's now MBL and so much healthier.

OMG!!!! U r currently my natural hair shero. U were like Edward Scissorhands with those shears compared 2 ur previous cuts. It's beautiful without any product. I can't wait 2 c what u do with it so I can live vicariously thru u since I'm still just transitioning. Congratulations!
