  • One of the best songs from the 70s.

  • Saw Hugh Nicholson in the early seventies with the Poets at the Electric Gardens in Glasgow, he was brilliant then. Next thing I buy The Marmalade`s Songs album and he`s the star attraction. Shame Blue never went further as Hugh was, and probably still is a fantastic songwriter. Wish I could work with him, he can see my stuff on grahamp587. All the best Shuggie.

  • Not a discovery of Elton..but he helped them along a bit

  • I remember this from 1977 - surprised they didn't become bigger. Are they still making music?

  • Saw Blue supporting Focus at Liverpool Empire (1973?) and have still got the freebie flexi-disc of Sad Sunday from the gig. Only just got round to buying the Life in the Navy album (vinyl) from ebay this year!! Disappointed though - I couldn't remember any of their other stuff and assumed Sad Sunday would be typical of their numbers, but I think it set too high a benchmark for them.

  • 77 was a good pasting off the stepdad,,

    Blue were great tho

  • the only thing i got in 75 was a good hiding off me owl girl.....

  • great song does anyone remember bring back the love? i got it in 1977 but it suprisingly never charted

  • Yes, remember that record too. Both really good. Far superior to the so called boys band blue.

  • Gr8 song, Blue r 1 of Elton Johns discoveries, produced by him (I Think) BRILL :-)

  • Thankyou for posting!!!

  • The original and the best. Loved Blue in the 70s.

  • Is this talented hunk single. Remember him when he was in the Poets and went to see them often, although I was just a nipper then 15 going on 16.

  • hugh was quite right to sue that shite pop band, you could not compare this to the crap from that boy band

  • Blue was one of the best Scottish Bands out. I still love listening to their music. Thanks Tumblerpigeon 2.

  • Seems all Steve's love Blue !

Reckon I need to subscribe just in case there are any more gems to come. Bought most of their 70's albums and the released CD-20 but this is a wonderful surprise.

  • I Love Blue!
