As for european countries - many of them have their big GDP built on debts. They are rich but they owe it all to the other countries and american fight against soviets. All I know is the reason they're protesting is for fair elections, and there's lots of evidence that your elections have been botched. It's very easy for him to rig elections, there really should be a re-election to make sure he won fairly.
