the video itself lacked the drama and epic quality that requiem for a dream demands. there were times (plural) when the music crescendos and nothing happens or falls short of the music. and if you're going to repeat more than 2 seconds or a still of footage in an amv be sure to hide it with fading or layers. i must admit when i saw dagger/garnet fall for the second time was a huge turn off. don't be afraid to cut, mix and match. good start at the beginning. keep at it.

I really love it and that's the reason why I think that's it's annoying to hear such a great music in almost EVERY AMV! Hearing that in SOME Vids is GREAT but not in EVERY - that destroys the "epicness". I found something with Super Mario and this song! It's sad because that shows that the people have no idea for another background music! By the way: I have a great ear for music! ;-)

For the future, having some sense of cohesion between the sequences would really help the overall feel of the video. As it was right now, the video was just a collaboration of some of the more epic pieces of the Final Fantasy FMVs, set to the tune of Requiem for a Dream, with some synchronization happening. Besides that, your transitions are solid, and what you chose to use was good.

Granted, I realize it's been four years since you posted this video, but feedback always helps. :)

When Jared Leto 'pushes off' into his abscess on the way to Florida with Tyrone!! Darren Aronofsky also did a beautiful job making the movie "Pi."

oh final fantasy 8, you eternally made me hate Final Fantasy games. The best FF was FF1, followed by Tactics, and a close third was FF6.

It's not "Aeternal", it's "Lux Aeterna". The Song is also known as "Requiem for a Dream" and "Summer Overture" although "Lux Aeterna" is the appropiate name as far as I know.

btw to the poster who made the comment about the games being re-released , it is possible to get some of them still for the pc, and free to if you know where to look. about 2 years ago i got a copy of final fantasy 7 for the pc and it still works on my current up to date comps. truely amazing game. i agree with your sentiment though, i would like to see a box set come out remastered , only now years later do i begin to understand the message behind the games.

the video is a compilation of FMV's from final 8 mstly, though i think there is some final fantasy the spirits withiin mixed in there. its really nicely done by the way whoever did it.

the music on the other hand, is simply astounding. editing i think and not the original score beethoven wrote if my ears are hearing rite, but still very moving.
