  • didnt know who he was my arse - they both played on the same club team

  • @cardigan3000 It was meant as a wind up, ie young upstart captaining Winters, Moore, Dooley, Richards, Teague, Probyn, Rendall etc AND no they didn't at that time! Winters was at Headingley plying his trade at his parents far in Grassington at the time Carling came onto the scene prior to both joining Quins!

  • has anyone any footage of Wints???

  • NO THEY DAMN WELL DON'T! He also played and was well respected by the Boks having played provincial stuff with the then Transvaal and also Hawkes Bay in NZ as a youngster. He was even presented with "Man of the Seies" by the Blacks coach Bryce Rope when the Lions were whitewashed in '83. A magnificent and hard as nails player!

  • winters.......class act! dont make them like that anymore.

  • Winters ..... the man

  • Brilliant! I really like the old bugger carling, he takes it on the chin!

  • Great Line !!!
