This is a very nice commercial, they really put some work in it. The software used for 3D apples is Softimage. For the video motion cap i think motionbuilder or some specialized motion capture software. Compositing was probably done in Nuke or Fusion or even after effects.

Hello! it is very good composition, video and 3d animations match each other, my question is,

what tracking software was used for camera motion simulation?

What is the triangulation? Is it name of process or name of any specific software used for camera position reading?

light rig +witness cameras = quite resonable cost of camera tracking system.... but the tool?? :) software is still a secret for me

this is cool. out of interest, why didn't you use a program such as Boujou or PFtrack to track the camera, what were the advantages to using the rig that you setup?

I'm not involved in any way with this project but I probably know why. You can see the footage from the camera is quite shaky and has a lot of motion blur due to low light conditions. This would never result in an extremely solid solve in Boujou or PFTrack, thus the CG elements would slide around too much.

By tracking the camera's Position and Scale with 3 witness camera's that are exposing just for the bright LED markers (no motion blur), you get a rock solid, frame by frame camera solve!

Cinema has different display window, I am almost sure that it is not a c4d, however, mograph2 module for cinema4d can calculate similar "apple simulations", I think.

It's possible that it's not C4D however, there's no way of discerning that since it only shows a gray window and a 3d grid which in every 3d software pretty much looks that way. If we saw actual buttons or a hud, that would be the sure way of knowing.

I don't know exactly how they did it, but personally I would import the 3D render into After Effects and play around with time displacement.

Hah! I had no idea the sticker was comped. Apples on the ground look a little fake, probably the shadow or the highlight shader, but I'm not saying I could do any better ;) I remember when I was first watching this, I was like... ok where's the crazy CG... and then the camera pans over to the train...Hahahaha, ok this will be good :D
