  • Worm - minnows both give good results i find.

  • when he tossed a stick almost crashed out of hand

  • Comment removed

  • dont take this personal but this video was very boring

  • fishingrevolution.co.uk, only if your into predator fishing

  • i fly fish for em

  • chubs are fucking annoying. when i go catfishing with chicken liver they keep eating it before the catfish.

  • @sk8metalnick6 So, chicken liver is a briljant chub bait then? :O)

  • @TheMeistereckhart indeed.

  • @sk8metalnick6 Cant you make the bait so big that even chubby cant handle it? I mean catfish has a slightly bigger mouth..... I know they (chub) will take 35 mm boilies but surely 60 mm baits must be too much?

  • @TheMeistereckhart yes but i stick with smaller baits for catfish. i can cut a chub up into chunks for big catfish bait also.

  • @sk8metalnick6 Do that often enough and the whole chub problem is gone :O)

  • korum bait bag handy

  • no 'specimen' angler i know would use 5lb line

5lb line is irresponsible when doing this kind of fishing guys

also if you hook a worm properly you will never miss a bite on worm

slide the worm up over the hook and up the line and leave just a cm dangling

  • @lukkbox explain more please

  • @joop1977 chances are your gonna hook into a barbel at some point so 10lb mainline with 8lb hooklength is BARE minimum considering snags etc

i use 15lb mainline and 12lb hooklength, check out my videos, you'll see i catch plenty

worms need to be threaded right up the line so that only the last cm or inch is left dangling off the hook, tip it off with a tiny peice of rubber band to stop the worm wriggling off the hook and your done

save your 5lb line for matchfishing on commercials

  • @lukkbox cheers for the info

  • i use worms :P

  • use hot dog it doesnt fall apart and it rocks

  • what fish can you keep and eat here in the uk?

  • u can but its illegal so i wouldn't

  • would be cool to go after chub here in the states...only thing we have similar to those is creek chub which i have a state record for =)

  • i love fishing for creek chub! where i go for em, theres a pool with a medium flow going into it that holds 8 species of fish. ive caught chub, perch, bluegill, crappie, musky, 2 types of trout, and bullhead. u never know what ur gonna get, and using the chub for musky or big evening walleye is even better! ;)

  • how do you make cheese cake

  • how do you make cheese paste

  • half lb bule cheese half lb mature chedar half lb frozen puff pastrey grate it all up and mix it all into a big ball of douge take what you need and frezz the rest

  • proper fishing this is. none of that match or carp fishing nonsense

  • гавно

  • aaand one more thing, lobbies bleed huge amounts of amino acids which fish are particularly adept at detecting, so they are doubly devastating as bait in flood waters.

  • lobworms work brilliantly in flood water because they get washed in by the rain, in such conditions they are an extremely natural food that the fish actively search for.

  • thats not travelling light, you have to carry that bag!

get yourself a fly vest ;)

  • the welland is best above stamford, the stretch 20 miles or so before are wide slow and devoid of features, they have trout and grayling apparently but that is something TBA in my mind. barrowden is the limit of what i have found as a really great river, with 7 fish in a couple of hours coming from thorpe by water. please guys don't ruin these stretches though. i can fish for days and see no-one.

  • I caught a chub yesterday only a few ounces but it is a beautiful fish.

  • Unfair for that twat... ilsplil below to use thoses comments ,its a good video and worth watching

  • need a better camera

  • excellent how to video, uk has great anglers

  • Great video.

  • Very nice!! Love that split shot trick.

  • are chubs related to suckers, because for bowfishing i know you can hunt suckers and i was wondering if chubs fall under suckers

  • Nice video, well worth a watch

  • summer baits in winter and swim choice straits are really not the bagers in winter, caster bait works the best for me the most in winter feeding very small amounts little and often. if you hit on a swim with 4 chub in it good light end tackle and present it wright you will be rewarded no end, these guys need to work harder than that to catch on days like this you need to put 90% into thought and you will find these fish in a day fish on that light tackle;catch there mates as well

  • small river, big bit of spam, thats all. really dead simple they have nothing other than that left to eat, move on to the next swim. the welland is not worth it beyond barrowden for chub, it is wide slow and has little features. you need deep pools, sunken trees, under cut banks. if someone knows a good swim down-steam of barrowden please let me know because i love the river before then and i know the potential it has.

  • yes well try fishing here on the ebro spain.

    fishingontheebro dot com

  • this guy sucks my balls!!!!!

  • cool

  • matt hayes and john wilson, the bests fishermens

  • heavy snow melt will produce alot of flow so slack water is the place to fish because the chub will get a little bored of heavy current after a while and will eventual seek shelter in the slack water

A great tactic to use is tie a swivel on the same way you would attach your ledger bomb/feeder then tie a piece of line onto it and you can add shot or take shot away from this piece of line as much as you want = adjustable ledger
