  • REINTRODUCE THEM TO IRELAND!!!! please!

  • I dont think they should be realeased in the UK, only because I am 100% sure that some jackass that should be killed publicly and have his corpse pissed on, will kill one just for the hell of it.

  • I really liked this documentary. Very nice:]

When the wolf howled I cried! Wolves are such beautiful creature, why exterminate them?

There were once men's best friend.

  • Thanks for the documentary, I really enjoyed it =]

  • this is an exellent documentry and ive learned a bit more about my favourite animal - the wolf

  • wow, I really hope wolves get reintroduced to england, they are amazing

  • Nice video, well done. Tame wolves.

  • That one part in the movie "Dances with Wolves" were the wolf tackles a man and then retreats kind of gives me that impression that the wolf was saying "Tag! You're it!"

  • Well done. This was great with a nice variety of shots. Look up the Pictish, they lived in northern britain before the Saxons invaded, they even survived the Romans. They have heaps of artwork carved onto stones depicting animals like the wolf. They must have had a religious significance or something so they had respect for wolves in the UK.

  • The main reason not to reintroduce wolves and other predators is farmer's stock being damaged, and because highland sheep farming is in dire straits already, it wouldn't be fair. On the other hand, the highlands needs more than hunters to deal with the masses of deer that's chewing it up.

Hard to know on which side to stand really...

  • good point, one of the very few I have heard on here. I do know that hunting generally means more revenue in dealing with the problem, at least in our part of my country, and it also creates jobs.

  • Thanks man. Yeah. I mean, I like wolves, they're my favourite animal, but I see them for what they are. Predators. Problem is, people have an attitude that's far too romantic. The highlands of scotland would be a better place for them because there's more space for them. However, I wouldn't want them round my area because they'd be all over the farmers lands and in the towns, and there's not enough space for both to co-exist without farmers waking up to a field of dead sheep in the winter.

  • And if wolf reintroduction created new jobs - even short term ones, I'd go for one like a shot (Not much opportunity for that around my neck of the woods sadly).

  • Exelent!

  • Keep spreading the lies, because that is what your video it about.......

  • lies? every thing except the father of mans best friend part was correct....wolves and dogs have the same ancestor ..like brothers

  • ok, and your point? My dog runs cattle or bites someone, he get shot, end of story. The wolves should have been left in Canada and Alaska where they belong, not in the lower 48.

  • If wolves were reintroduced to scotland, perhaps it'd be better to use Eastern Wolves - they're a sub-species of red wolves and red wolves have no record of attacking humans unlike their grey relatives (so I hear) so they might be less dangerous. And they look fairly similar anyway.

    Just a thought.

  • This was very well done, young man. I am certain you have a bright future ahead of you.

  • MONEY & MAN NEEDS TO BE RELOCATED WE, ARE HEADING FOR NEAR EXTINCTION ...

    V

    V

    Very good Dynodrum

  • Thanks for shareing Josh..

when they die we will too.Lane

  • I wonder how man would survive in the wild w/ no guns ..The native AMERICANS did & survived fine till we got here . and we felt the same way to them as the wolf -exterminated millions in this AMERICA[LOOK UP THE WORD AMERICAN ]THEY REVERED NATURE , MONEY & MAN NEEDS TO BE RELOCATED WE, ARE HEADING FOR NEAR EXTINCTION ...

  • @DYNODRUM its all about balance

  • @seth61682 Currently there are no balance. Gun is a hell of a weapon

  • btw bigsky, you'd be surprised to hear this, but PETA are very much AGAINST wolf and predator reintroduction. In fact, I asked them about any conservation projects they were involved in, and the answer, is zero. All those cretins are interested in is their GoVeg campaigns.

  • I do believe you are right about Peta. They don't want any dogs domesticated, or people to keep them, or cats, etc. I am so much against peta that I grouped them in with the wolf nuts. Sorry about that, but both groups don't think clearly.

  • That's OK. You'd think for all they do, that they'd be all for conservation (which is why I checked). And yeah, you're right PETA don't think clearly, and so do many wolf fans unfortunately. After all, I like animals as much as the next man and conservation projects definitely get a thumbs-up from me, but PETA have no real idea about animals. Mind you, they help me enjoy a nice juicy steak or KFC all the more! :)

  • Another possible reason for bringing wolves to scotland - introducing a new species to hunt (at a limited amount of course). The other wolf fans are going to hate me for this, but it could be another source of income for scotland (as long as they don't use those fucking planes - that's cheating.)

  • I don't think that would fly with the wolf fans. We had one pack kill 120 sheep in one night in Montana, and the wolf people said, well, they are wolves.....I say, well, why did they reintroduce them? To run people off the land?

  • Yeah, probably not. But if they were reintroduced, we'd definitely have to shoot some of them to keep their numbers at an appropriate level.

  • @390904902 No... There are so few it would be a LONG time until they werea population problem,

  • Retard bead neck hippies. You cant get reimbursed for losses due to wolf murders, it you dont have it confirmed by the U.S. fish and wildlife Service, or the Fish and game. You could have three slaughtered animals, two of those will be accepted, and the other animal, witch is in the same kill site, will be denied.

  • No, it's what the government tell you stoopid. Proving a wolf was responsible doesn't seem to bother you people when dreaming up statistics and scare stories, so what's your problem? If ranchers are anything like UK livestock farmers they don't miss a trick and make good money out of sales and subsidies, when did you last see a poor rancher?

Truth is, no stupid, vulgar, greedy, ugly American death suckers [William Burroughs], no problem for the wolves or the rest of us.

  • watch /watch?v=J-T0led2Vwg&feature=related

wolves are pure evil, im sure.

  • When did you learn to write?

  • Keep humans out? Sorry. No way. We live here. We did not ask for wolves. Relocate where? Maybe in your backyard, not mine. To many wolves now. 400+ cattle killed in Montana this year alone by wolves. These people make a living raising cattle. Do you work for a living? How would you like it if someone threatened your way of life?

  • You're all immigrants. Obviously relocate to other areas of wilderness not the Walmart car park. Yeah right, 400 cattle. Cattle die for a range of reasons, not least the slaughterhouse, but easy to blame wolves for every accident. Yes I do work for a living, my way of life is threatened constantly and I adapt, no one compensates me for anything, ranchers want compensation constantly, same in the UK, they even get a government subsidy on every cow, taxpayers' money, state handouts. Parasites.

  • you really think ranchers are compensated? Yea, thats what the wolf lovers tell you, IF you can prove the wolf did the killing, and IF the funds are available. Problem is, many cattle are far from home, and it is impossible to check everyday. Truth is, no wolves, no losses from wolves.

  • sky...i think you are mistaking wolves for coyotes...there are way more recorded coyote attacks than wolf attacks...how would you like to have a gun pointed at YOUR head for something your brother did...i'd hate to have that happen...and i dont think it's fair that we have to put the animals through that...dont mistake wolves for coyotes...

  • guys how hate or wana kill wolfs wake up your dog is a part from there femaly look at you dog and think do a realy kill a wolf when you look at you dog and replace it whit the wolf ?.? we let me tell you one think wolfs are part of our planet and we share whit them so stop !@#$ing and just wake up!

  • Problem with you people is, you have no reality....its ok for you to say we need wolves when so many peoples livihoods are ruined by their reintroduction....and coyotes? I have yet to see a coyote take down a full grown cow or horse.....

  • ZERO peoples lives have been ruined by their reintroduction. how the hell do you think the world DOESNT need wolves? why would they be there in the first place? oh, we dont need squirrels or bees, i dont like them, lets get rid of every single one of them. see what happens.

really? "luckily he had his rifle" what was he doing with it, pole vaulting? i dont go into a bear den, get attacked, then say "see, bears are evil, lets get rid of every single one of them"

  • WRONG AGAIN, peoples lives are being affected. Raise 50 cattle on a family farm, lose 5 to wolves, that about $3000 in income that family loses. Bear Den? Reread the article, the guy was walking up a road....and, BEARS are hunted, so they generally repect people. Wolves are not, and are learning that they don't have to fear humans. When the first person dies from a wolf attack, its on you......

  • arguement aside, you really think that wolves hunt people? why not cats hunting people? or bobcats?ive read amany articles stating that animals die all the time, and now that theyre wolves, its the wolves fault. simple statistics. imagine if you were saying these things about bears or cats? its no different. theyre just a fucking dog trying to catch mice to eat. grow up.

  • missed the point again. Wolves defintely don't hunt people. However, if they are not hunted, the don't develop respect to stay away from people. Then conflicts result....you dog becomes wolfys dinner at your back door, you garbage is gotten into (not a big thing, and can be fixed). Then the problems become bigger. Point is, hunt them a bit, and they learn to avoid people. Don't, and problems result. I have no problem with wolves, just REINTRODUCED WOLVES.

  • theres a difference between defending yourself and your dog and stipmining. they live there, they belong there. were not talking about wolves in urban areas, i mean cmon. Bears would kill a dog, shall we get rid of all bears? wolves have to live somewhere, its not their fault we move to where theyre living. dont like them, dont go sleep in the cave.

  • ???? where did that come from? Bears are HUNTED and develop respect for people. At present, no wolves are hunted by people, unless its F-G guys. They have no respect for people and will have none until they are hunted. There have been no wolves in my area for 100 years until people like you put them here. I LIVE HERE, I DON'T WANT WOLVES.

  • you have a really weird way of looking at things. wolves......are.....hunted.....to...the ....point....where they will be extinct. dead. gone forever. where are you getting the idea that where just having a happy time with them?

do you even know what youre talking about? theres even videos of wolf hunting on youtube.

They are not where you live, because they were hunted and killed. go look something up or a change. "no wolves hunted by people" indeed

  • you don't know what you are talking about. There is NO WAY wolves are going extinct in Alaska or Canada. NO WAY, and if you believe differently, you are a fool. Barely 2% of the wolves in Alaska are actually hunted or killed. They are a sustainable population. However, in Montana, I want them ALL REMOVED. Don't like the attitude? Tough. You don't have to live with them, we do.

  • We also had our first wolf attact on a human in Montana several weeks ago. Luckily, the man had a rifle and shot the wolf at 5 meters. I am afaid its the first of many....

  • Sorry, but you are being sold a lie. Just wait,,,,,first, everything is ok. Then, the sheep and cattle losses will start to mount. Its all very romantic until the killing starts. Domestic dogs are definitly on the menu. The studies that are indicated on this film are bias, done by prowolf researchers. In Wyoming, USA, during 2007, 500 cattle and 700 sheep were killed by wolves. Can your farmers absorb this kind of loss? Good luck, you will need it.

  • Disregarding where you got the numbers from, when you keep in mind that there's tens of MILLIONS of sheep and cattle raised in the US, that number is an absolutely insignificant percentage. Domestic dogs/disease/etc. kill far more then that.

Coyotes kill dogs as well. If people want Fido to live very long, then they shouldn't let him wander around all night without a leash.

  • so the people that live in the areas the wolves are released in must give up ranching? Maybe someone needs to chase you out of your home to. Problem with people like you is that you have no sense of reality.

  • Where the fuck did you get that from?

I'm saying that wolf predation is completely insignificant compared to the losses ranchers incur from diseases and such. Wolves take less then 1% of cattle/sheep/etc and are highly beneficial to the overall health of herds and also scavengers like bears.

Do you even read your posts? Wolves were chased from their 'homes' by humans first(to the horror of the native people). They're a vital part of the ecosystem. Problem wolves can and are killed or relocated.

  • So the alternative is to dump a bunch of canadian wolves (which are not even native) into the country and everyone will love them? Go to the Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks website. Find the weekly wolf activity area. See what the wolves are doing to people and thier livestock. We have did without them for over 100 years, what so "vital" about a wolf?

  • They're the exact same species. -_-

Ranchers have done fine without wolves, the environment has suffered from the loss of its apex predator.

Coyotes are a hell of a lot more harmful to ranchers then wolves, why don't you just declare all predators useless and lobby to exterminate them all?

Problem with people like you is that you have no sense of respect for the world we all have to live in.

  • Just one more thing to contend with when ranching....one more thing that could be avoided if no wolves were around.

  • Do you want to kill all the bears, snakes, eagles, coyotes, foxes, bobcats, and cougars as well? They are all responsible for the occasional rancher loss. While you're at it, you might as well kill off all the deer, elk, moose and other herbivores, since they compete with the ranched animals as well.

Wouldn't that be just lovely? Nothing left of the south west except money-making crops and domestic animals?

  • Also, its interesting how as depicted in this video that there have been reports about some wolves that were never tamed but for some reason seem used to the presence of humans. Its amazing what these animals are capable of. In fact, I always felt that there's something about wolves that is phenomenal.

  • I love what this video teaches us about wolves. And I agree; wolves deserve to be respected and saved from those who threaten to wipe them out. The wolf is not just a savage monster that will attack indiscriminately, the wolf is a wonderful and intelligent creature. In fact wolves can be so much more in reality than how they are typically depicted in fiction. I've said this before many times, but wolves deserve a place in this world. We can't just let them disappear.

  • Disappear? Like Hell. They are all over Canada and Alaska. thousands of them. Why put them into the middle of cows in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho? The people that live there did not want them, and they will not survive. Watch and see.

  • They're in the middle of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana because that's where the largest national park in the country is. You might have heard of it, it's called Yellowstone?

They force the elk/bison/deer to act like wild animals instead of cattle, so the herds move around instead of degrading the vegetation in particular areas like river edges. That puts balance back into an ecosystem that has been going downhill since the wolves were exterminated.

  • BIGSKYHAL50 your a jackass

  • Typical wolf lover attitude. Can't win the arguement, so you lower yourself to name calling.

  • you have a point, bigsky, but, i dont really care. the animals are/were there for a reason. i dont really care if cattle farmers dont like it, they can take the billion dollars a year industry and suck on it. if you dont like it, maybe you shouldnt be where theyre supposed to live in the first place.

  • No, they are suppost to live where YOU LIVE. Turn the clock back 200 years, and the wolves were everywhere. We are not turning the clock back, sorry.

  • and your point? yes, im very disappointed that we managed to kill most living things where i live. its wrong.

    not that you care, but.....

i would kill an animal, possibly, maybe, to eat. definitely to defend myself, no problem. That does NOT translate into wanting to destory every living thing. i mean, come on. animal lover or hater, i mean.....cmon, what are you, a supervillian? not even lex luthor wants to destroy the planet...

  • Supervillian? God, you people.......Facts are facts. Whether you like it or not, wolves eat cattle, sheep, domestic dogs, anything they can catch. This is how people, who are just like you, make a living. Billion dollar industry? The people I know make a living at it, they are not millionairs, as you suggest. As far as killing every living thing, you got that wrong. We HAD ELK. Now there are alot less that the wolf has been turned loose. I love animals, I dislike wolves for what theydo

  • for what wolves do? lol i had a friend say once "if we didnt kill the wolves, the wolves would kill all the animals"

yes, by coincidence, wolves have been coexisting with everthing on the planet, keeping herds healthy, for thousands of years. now that were killing everything, its the WOLVES fault.

so, by logic, we should kill all tigers and lions too? they kill people. and i suppose, just as unnecessary.

  • so whats your point? Nobody said kill all the wolves. Don't try to turn back the clock thousands of years. Today it today, PEOPLE live here, whether you like it or not.

  • What's YOUR point? There are so few wolves compared to how many there were that to kill one should be a crime. If they are a problem in an area, keep the humans out, if that's not possible relocate the pack to somewhere else. A randomly shot wolf might be a nursing mother, so all the cubs will starve to death. Killing wolves disperses packs and causes problems.

  • but that was BEFORE people were here. We are here now.

  • Thing is Bigsky, what you're saying is interesting, it's very much a case of not in my back yard (no offence) because you say "keep em in Alaska and Canada, not here". And you have a fair point. But there are going to be farmers in Canada and Alaska who suffer from wolf predation (either big or small), and it's a sad fact that wherever wolves are, there will always be someone somewhere who loses some of their stock from wolves when their prey is low. It's a sad fact of life with any predator.

  • i luv this!!!!

  • T.T you tell 'em man!!

  • thank u 4 caring wolves try to live apart from stupid ugly humans but we just have to move in on them they have liveed beside men forever why cant we do that now? wolves deserve 2 b free

  • Wolved will beback in the Highlands soon, there already are a few, but the population will be getting BIG soon.

  • fucking humans, u notice how humans breed 24/ 7 /365 days ie no breeding seasons and they get pissed off when they see other species surviving

  • that is very true

  • amen to that!

  • 2 true

  • REALITY: Wolves are cool!

  • did you know that wolves are so scared of people if you put a tent youve used before in a farm the wolves will acctually stay as far away from it as possible (its a wolf repelant)

  • just adding to polars comment on what you can do to save wolves, you can also go to defendersofwildlife dot com (I had to say "dot" cause they wouldn't let me put a link up. god bless you all.

  • wonderful!

  • that's so true! All of it is!

  • Wolf Lovers!Go to Care2:The Petition site.Sign the petition against the planned slaughter of over 80% of Idaho's wolves. You should see"Don't Strip ESA Protection From Wolves."If not,go to their animal welfare spot.Thanks,Peace.

  • brilliant documentory! im going to the uk wolf conservation trust for my birthday! cant wait!

  • Lots of people think wolves are dangerous and scary; but they don't realize that their pet dogs are simply domesticated wolves!

  • Love the video. It's about time people stop making fairy tales into reality.

  • great documentary!, i wish more people could see it.

  • that was..that was touching

  • Excellent stuff.

  • Excellent!!! Good Karma to you, my friend!

  • top video, there trying to do somthing with wolves down in kent,at the WILDWOOD british wildlife sanctuary near hernbay, ive lost count the times ive been there, great pack of wolves there all in a woodland enclosure...love wolves, love nature.

  • The thig's great but I found a mistake. Balto was not a Husky but a husky/wolf. Thanks..

Grat Job the thing is awesome :)

  • yay...humand body but a wolf-soul^^

  • Very nice documentary. Well done.

  • Very nice wolves need are help!

  • Ah. Okay. Not being sexist... but that kind of explains it.

  • Maybe, but it's still an engaging documentary. But I'm proud that she went out to the Wolf Centre to document some wolf stuff.

  • I found out that wolves are very loyal and that they keep their mates forever... Since that's the case, I guess I'm a wolf, too.. wolfies rock \m/(^_^)\m/

  • Funny you should say that. There was a researcher who looked at the way we live and the way wolves and apes lived. He said we are more like hairless wolves in nature. I don't have the book I read that from near me right now (lazy) so if anyone ever wants to know his name just let me know.

  • I've seen a few girls i.e Caroline and Yasmin who were more like Hairy wolves in Nature... they howled all night

  • I watched the whole thing. Wolves are some of the most misunderstood creatures. They are wonderful, intelligent, and fasinating. What man has done to wolves is in excusable. I maybe be in a human body, but I am certainally wolf at heart. ^_^

  • You may be in a human body, but your brain is similar to a slug.. please do not comment on this tripe!

And as for wolves being the most misunderstood I present to you... the giant octopus.. maybe if we are lucky enough he will consume the maker of this 'squideo' HAHA I MADE A PUN HAHAHAH

  • Oh ha ha. You are halarious! I mean, I was laughing for like...DAYS! NOT! I can post what I want to, freedom of speech! And everyone has their own opinions. You and your squid thing, and me and wolves. So shut that gaping thing you call a mouth!

  • Dude...what the hell is wrong with you? Do you believe in the big bad wolf? Does it make you hide under the covers at night? You chose a good name for yourself, my interesting friend, because you are bizarre.

  • pfft who cares where it came from, it's true either way.

  • Wonderful, if they would put these series on T.V., it could really change the outlook on these misunderstood creatures. - Tara Rancier

  • cool.
