Kogan and Gitlis are my two favorite violinists I like to watch as they play. What drama! These guys ooze testosterone while making incredible recordings. I should look so good when I do it, but I don't. Kogan was highly underrated because of his passive public nature.

You guys should hear him playing Lalot's Spanish symphony, or Brahms Violin concert!
Many brilliant performers of the 20th c. come from Russia, and I won't uselessly argue he's the best, but if there's one thing he's got, it's Drive (in the rock sense). so sorry for those who care about his face.
