  • Two words: Gossip Girl.

  • It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia!

    so wrong, yet so funny!

  • ffffffffringe!!

  • Ssssssherlock.

  • PSYCH!

  • Life (the one about the LAPD cops) is an excellent show.

  • i watch girly shows you prob wouldnt appreciate

  • Got recommended 15 storeys high last night. Personally, off the top of my head: New Girl, Cougar Town (maybe a bit girly though) CHUCK! Red Dwarf, Scrubs, Teachers, Freaks and Geeks, How I Met Your Mother.

A couple of which are definitely long finished but that makes it easier for watching.

  • Arrested Development. Yes. Also, Sherlock.

  • The IT Crowd is a great show as well. :)

  • My favourite shows are Doctor Who, Sherlock, The Walking Dead and American Horror Story. The Walking Dead has awesome zombies; how could you say no?

  • I'd say...

Doctor Who, Sherlock, The Big Bang Theory, Pushing Daisies, Better Off Ted, the 4400...

Note that the last three have, sadly, been cancelled. Short but sweet.

  • @thenoodlebiscuit I very much enjoyed the 4400. Such an epic show.

  • Favourite that you might not have watched is definitely The Killing (Forbrydelsen) I really really recommend it, you will become addicted!

  • favorites are Doctor Who and Supernatural...i see a pattern

but i agree, Daria could give you great ideas

  • Daria. May give ideas for Central High as well.

  • Love Firefly reference.

How I Met Your Mother, Once Upon a Time, and Bones are my obsessions right now, TV wise.

  • I recommend Paranoia Agent. It's a mini-series about a boy who hits people with a bat... but it's so much more than that too! It's beautiful and funny and strange. Also, Futurama, Ed Edd n Eddy, Gilmore Girls, Dexter, House, Sherlock... shows you have probably already seen.

Oh! Oh! All in the Family! All in the Family is hilarious and offensive... it's right up your Ali... Haha, see what I did there? You have to watch All in the Family.

    And The Twilight Zone!! Classic!

  • Lost, Doctor Who, Sherlock are my top 3 :)

  • hahaa great ending. As for favorite tv shows... mine would be Friends, Two and a Half Men, Scrubs, the usual Comedy Central suspects to be honest. :)

  • Glee, Doctor Who, and the Big Bang Theory. :D

  • the slap is a really good drama which is based on the novel by christos tsiolkas :) it's pretty amazing but don't expect to sympathise with characters

  • *decides to watch some yt vids to relax after an entire day of studying for architectural history exam*

0:12 Oh, postmodern deconstructivism! Why do you keep following me?!

  • Sherlock. Doctor Who, but I think you already watch that. Torchwood, Fringe, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Alphas, CHUCK. All of them are freaking amazing. Definitely check some of them out.

  • Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.

An under appreciated television masterpiece by Aaron Sorkin, and it's all about writing comedy, which would appear a certain way up your street.

  • @SighNoMoore You win. I just watched the pilot episode. That show seems AWESOME. Great recommendation!

  • @RogueBlueJay Very welcome. The bastards killed it after a single series, but damn near every episode is a peach. So from the awesomeness of Perry and Whitford, to the incredibly well pitched soundtrack, to the faultless writing, to John Goodman as a freaking Judge; enjoy :)

  • Ali!:) i love your videos. they make me happier cheesy as it may sound. anyway, wild boys is my latest obsession. and watching jackass alot. MTV programs madness always seems to occur at this time of year; yaknow, when i have exams and should be revising..

  • Ali, watch BEING HUMAN! - series 4 will be starting soon on bbc so if you get right on it you'll be up to date and can roll around twitching 6 days out of 7 jonesing for the next episode cos it's SO GOOD :D

And if you like animated funnies then try Archer, s'well good

  • I just finished watching season 1 of both Bones and Castle. Both make me want to watch the next season.

  • REWATCH SGA.

This is mainly because I've recently gotten addicted.

    You've seen Firefly, right? RIGHT?

  • Buffy the vampier slyer. My Little pony: Friendship is Magic, Yo-gi-oh abridged and Dragonball Z abridged, Gossip Girl, Prince TuTu ( Yes I rilize it sound's like the stupidest show on earth but it's rather amazing) Really though You might not want to asks girls for what shows they like...=)

  • If you like characters that are a bit too self-aware of their being characters, you miiiight want to watch Greek. It takes place on an incestuously small campus with a very active sorority/fraternity life - also, it's the most addictive tv show that was ever made and that isn't 239563472 seasons long. True fact.

  • DOCTOR WHO. psych/HowImetyourmother/phineasandferb/whitecollar/newgirl

  • Heroes. SO GOOD. Doctor Who...

  • Was that a subtle Firefly reference at the end?

  • The Big Bang Theory, Arrested Development, The Office...hmmm(:

  • Hehe...someone watches Firefly XD

  • Mythbusters... yeah I know it's turned into a weekly "lets blow crap up" pornfest, but there are still some gems of science and common sense now and then.

  • If you haven't already you should watch Firefly, I definitely developed an unhealthy obsession when I first watched it.

  • Once Upon A Time. Glee. NCIS. Castle. And oh, so many more... All American version, of course, since that's what I am. :)

  • I've gained a small interest (that I don't have time for) in the American version of Shameless.

Yes, stolen from the U.K. but... I like the American version better oddly enough.

Don't know if you can find it online or whatnot. o.o Oh & I'm at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter- we should skype.

    -maggie.

  • psych. It's an awesome show.

  • psych. It's an awesome show.

  • -Your hair looks nice :).... just thought I'd let you know

    -hahaha oh Olsen twins

-Switched At Birth.... it's my new TV obsession

Although, don't try to completely learn sign language from it. I was watching it, and Emmett was signing something to Bay (who doesn't know SL very well), and since he just wanted her to understand, he didn't sign it "correctly"... #JustSayin

    *hug*

    *hug*

  • i'm really getting into grey's anatomy at the moment... other than that bones, new girl, the mentalist and pretty little liars are all good shows :)

  • I'll be in my bunk.

  • The Mighty Boosh

  • Freaking SHERLOCK. Are you watching Sherlock? You have got to watch Sherlock.

  • Sherlock is all you need.

  • Sherlock man. Just Sherlock.

Lately I've been checking out what's on the kids channel's recently (Nickeloden, Cartoon Network, etc.)

House of Anubis is pretty good. And... this show got canceled around a year ago but you can probably still find it somewhere online: Unnatural History.

If I could thumb ktgreeno's comment any higher I would.

If you aren't on tumblr, you should be, because that is where I found all the fandoms.

  • Parks and Recreation is really genius

  • BBC Sherlock. You should watch it. Its one of those shows that will take over your life and drive you to the point of insanity, but you won't really care all that much because it is really, really, good.

  • Arrested Development is the funniest show you'll ever watch and Sherlock is the most beautifully created/written show with amazing plot twists. Depending on what you're feeling like you should defiantly try one out! They're both on Netflix

  • Burn Notice is pretty good and most of the show is on Netflix. Spy games, explosions, and sarcasm ^_^

  • Sherlock ... From the BBC. Watch it from the very start although take caution ... you may become obsessed and it may become your whole life. I speak from experience. The series finale was last night and I'm still recovering from the emotional trauma.

  • Ummmm, I can only think of movies you should watch at the moment, but you should deffently check out Children of Men, The Assassination of Jessie James, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and Singing in the Rain, that is if you haven't seen those already?

  • Oh and Veronica Mars. That show is GENIUS.

  • Oh jeez, Sherlock is the best television programme I've seen. Ever. Then there's everything else BBC like DW, Miranda, Merlin etc then there's House M.D. and Big Bang theory. Those are my favourites. And Suits. I just started watching it and it's brilliant!

  • Sherlock or the IT Crowd

  • My favorite show is Doctor Who. Now contest.

  • "...I'll be in mybunk"! LMAO!

    You naughty boy!

  • Doctor Who, Sherlock, American Horror Story, 24, New Girl, Supernatural, Lie to Me, House, The Mentalist, Castle.

  • The Cleveland show. It has everything a man could want, comedy (junior), cuteness (Ralo), sexual suggestiveness (Cleveland).

  • Sherlock, Misfits (season 1 & 2) and South Park :D

  • Also, Twin Peaks! An oldy, but a goody.

  • Recently I've been working through every Michael Fassbender movie/appearance ever - well worth it. He is personally awesome and he picks really good films to be in. Before that I did Gregory Peck (who doesn't love a good old fashioned Roman Holiday/To Kill a Mockingbird/How The West Was Won marathon? It's not like he's a genre guy)

I don't have a problem. Not at all.

  • SUPERNATURAL!! Boardwalk Empire!

  • i'm glad that you're not gonna kill everyone :)

my favorite tvshow is Sherlock, but i sortof assume you're already watching that ;) and then there's community, scrubs, how i met your mother, new girl, misfits, and all of Ze Franks videos which aren't tvshows but they're awesome.

  • @zaielle The Show is awesome.

  • psych is pretty great... i think you'd like it!

  • They're legal now, but you're still fantasising about 12 year old girls. Also, thank you for inspiring me to watch a bit of MK&A. I think my house only has New York Minute, but it's a good place to start. My sister and I used to collect the books and everything. COOLEST.

  • My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic will change your life.

  • @ktgreeeno Beat me to it :P

  • If you haven't already definitely watch Peep Show; Mitchell and Webb are comic geniuses.

  • I definitely remember "It Takes Two"! Classic.

  • Have you ever obsessively watched Buffy? How about Deep Space Nine (season 3 onwards, at least)? When was the last time you did a full (yes, I do mean, "from 1963") Doctor Who rewatch? For newer shows, I'd suggest Game of Thrones (but read the books first. Read them anyway, actually) or Once Upon a Time (although it's somewhat lacklustre in parts), or maybe even Sanctuary.

Finally, I'll mention the West Wing. Just so that my post has one show that's not speculative fiction.

  • I've been pretty addicted to Breaking Bad lately, although it's not really the show to pull you out of seasonal affective disorder

  • Misfits is good. Veronica Mars is also good.

  • You still have like 20 MK&A movies to go. Don't forget the You're Invited To Mary Kate and Ashley's Party series and the Mysteries! Hahaha

I suggest Clone High for a TV show. One season, animated, deals with historic figures as teenagers in high school!

  • I still occasionally catch myself popping in my Winning London VHS. You are not alone.

  • Sherlock is a must.

  • I've been obsessed with Breaking Bad recently. I was super late to that party. Community is also great. Archer is an animated series which is very funny, especially if you are already a fan of Arrested Development.

  • My brother suggests my little pony and my Mother suggests Gilligan's island

  • Community & Arrested Development are the best!

  • UNITED STATES OF TARA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think my brother met Mary Kate once.

  • Dollhouse.

  • The only show I can think of is the one with the Meerkats I loved that show so much. Wild Thornberrys that show is so good I know it doesn't really fix anything as so far as the jailbait issue goes but it is so good. I am so living in the now.

  • You are so creepy! Pretty Little Liars is an amazing show, everyone thinks it's just this girly show but there's so much mystery and creepiness that I think you could like it.

  • Doctor Who. Star Trek TOS and TNG. Heroes, but that's over now. :) You see the sci fi trend?

  • You quoted Firefly. You're my friend.

  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars, Once Upon a Time...these are shows that I love :D and also that persons suggestion about the Barbie movies was rather good. I used to watch Barbie and the Nutcracker every year at Christmas XD

  • @ammiella Hey was just reading your comment and thinking "OMG this person has amazing taste in TV" and then I realised why. Hi you.

  • @Apanickahhh Hahahaha why hello there best friend ;)

  • @ammiella Hello, hey could you get some wild thornberrys to bring over I really want to watch it now.

  • @Apanickahhh Such. A. Good. Show. Especially the last season. They really grew Eliza up as a character, which rarely happens in animation.

  • @RogueBlueJay Yes it is so good I now need to watch it or I may go crazy(but that could just be because it's 30 odd degrees here).

  • @Apanickahhh I'll do what I can to make that happen for you.

  • @ammiella YAY thank you so much

  • @Apanickahhh You're welcome. What time are you coming anyway? I feel odd using Ali's comment section to converse with you about this eheh

  • @ammiella Yeah it is a bit odd I guess not enough to make me stop. My doctor appointment isn't until 4pm so maybe 5-6 somewhere in there.

  • in treatment is AMAZING.. well.. I think it is anyways..

  • Doctor Who, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Doctor Who, (Community). Since you enjoyed MK&A so much maybe you should be looking at watching all of the Barbie movies. XD

Has anyone suggested that you get into anime yet? If you haven't already?

  • On a side note, your hair looks really good in this. I applaud your hair.

  • I like scrubs, skins (the british one), daria, the inbetweeners (!), and the oc. is pretty hilarious to watch, but you might not find it as funny as i do. Not many people do.. hah, i hope you like some of these shows!

  • Misfits! Watch Misfits. You won't regret it.

  • For comedies: Community is brilliant, Parks and Rec is sunshine and happiness and hilarity all rolled into a television show, 30 Rock is clever, Pushing Daisies is delightful, and Arrested Development is obligatory.

For dramas: Mad Men is perfect, Breaking Bad is really really good, Lost is expansive and exhausting and wonderful, and Dexter is twisted and enjoyable.

and of course there's Doctor Who and Sherlock

  • Most shows are mentioned already, but I like Skins! You probably already know of it since you live in the UK, but I live in Canada and only just started watching it! Really good! Kind of depressing though, so might not be the best option...Once Upon a Time (new ABC show) is really good! Um, and Merlin too! Oh Merlin is brilliant! Definitely check it out! Anyway, don't know if you watch those or not. Also love the BTTF poster, it's fantastic! :D

  • @thetardisonpigfarts Skins was shot in my home town, Bristol. I've only scene the first episode, but some of the scenes were shot around my school. It's weird to see how they mess with the geography of the town.

  • @RogueBlueJay Oh that's really cool! Yeah I can understand how that could be kind of weird, especially if it isn't exact. Honestly it is really good though, really addicting as well. :P

  • I recommend watching Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead. Both are pretty excellent shows and very light on the jail bait.

  • the obvious is doctor who, but if your a fan of musicals there's a ton of live recordings on netflix i watch like it's my job haha

  • The. West. Wing

  • *NICE REFERENCE, god!

Oh, and one of my goals in life is to memorize The Big Lebowski dialogue. B) Just felt like sharing it with you. :) It just sucks that I'm in law school and have awfully little time for the fun stuff. :(

  • Noce raference to Firefly there and that probably means you've got the Joss Whedon shows covered. :) I was quite obssesed with Buffy last year around this time. And I'm going to rewatch it, because it's awesome. Again.

Also That '70s Show might get your mind off killing people. :)

There you have it, my two favourite shows.

Oh, also watch Game Of Thrones if you haven't yet. Or better, read the fantastic books, you seem to have a lot of time on your hands. :P They're fat cows, but it is worth it.

  • The Middleman, Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me are all brilliant. Quirky, darkly comedic, and like most shows of the "brilliant, quirky, dark comedy" genre, they were cancelled far before their time. I would geek out and explain why they are awesome, but character limit.

Less quirky and much longer, there are the first two Stargate series (but not the third). Then there is Buffy, which is always great (I would say "speaking of jailbait", but she was like 20 when that show started, so eh).

  • GUUH SHERLOCK

TRB tonight is going to be the end of me.

  • you have no chance... even in your dreams

  • Community.

  • I know what you mean, with it g etting dark earlier, and it being cold.... It will be better soon....

  • I like the way your brain works. Though you may already watch some of these I would say:

Sherlock, Doctor Who, Buffy, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, oh and Platoon of Power Squadron.

  • Comment removed

  • Spaced

  • Misfits, Inbetweeners, Friends, The Big Bang Theory :)

  • Shameless :D

    There's a new episode tonight.

  • Ah, I remember my Mary Kate and Ashley phase. I used to say that I didn't like them, but I would watch every show and movie they were in. I'm okay now with saying that I liked them. Shows I watch aside from Doctor Who and Sherlock: Community, Merlin, Portlandia, Xam'd(anime), Battlestar Gallactica, United States of Tara.

  • DEXTER!!!!

  • Better Off Ted and Firefly and Spy Kids and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Platoon of Power Squadron and stuff. Apparently Australian TV is really funny.

I plaster my ceiling with pictures of jailbait so I can fall asleep to them. What? Who said that?

  • @flightwithtools He clearly have watched Firefly due to the Jayne reference at the end.

  • @Benjy3634 I totally missed that. That's awkward, because I've been watching it nonstop all day. *facepalm* (at myself).

  • @Benjy3634 Fraid I'm not a fan of firefly. Jayne reference?

  • Comment removed

  • @RogueBlueJay Lucky coincidence then, because you quoted one of the character's more famous lines (I'll be in my bunk).

  • The IT Crowd.

  • I really like Parks and Recreation, The Office (US), Friends, and Arrested Development. Don't know if you watch/watched any of those, but I would suggest any of them!

  • If you do not already watch Sherlock and Doctor Who, you must! The Sherlock finale is today! The fandom is kinda freaking out..... And I know what you mean by watching lighthearted things. I get depressed quite easily, so I like to surround myself with pop music and the like. It does help that I've grown up with it so I love it, but it also keeps me generally more cheery. I could listen to other genres, since I do like them too, but they just do not really help my mood.

  • I have no idea whether you'll be able to find this but I suggest trying. :P There was a short series in Australia called 'Dave in the Life'. Check it out.

  • I don't think all these people saying doctor who realise that you live in the UK so you probably already watch it...

  • NCIS. So bitchin'. If you want to watch that, start with Season 3, read up on what happened on the last 2 seasons on Wikipedia. The first two seasons pale in comparison to the others.

  • Criminal Minds or Bones, I'm into the crime shows lately.

  • I don't know whether you've seen this or not, but I really like BBC's Sherlock.

  • DOCTOR WHO!!!!

  • Well one of my favorite tv shows is The Mighty Boosh. It's not on anymore but you can watch it on YouTube :) and if you don't like it I suggest old episodes of Doctor Who :)

  • Doctor Who! Do develop an unhealthy obsession, please! (You may re-watch almost 50 years worth of episodes!) :)

  • Confronting ones perversions can be quite disconcerting. Stick with the older bait as much as possible :)

  • Merlin!

  • Criminal Minds. I have a never-ending love for that show.

  • Watch Battlestar Gallactica... Oh god that program is a work of genius. The theme, the script writing is amazing!

  • I have an unhealthy obsession for Grey's Anatomy; god I love that show. Trouble is, I think I mimic the casts emotional feelings in real life.

Hence I spend most of my time feeling depressed, over-emotional and generally being dark and twisted...

  • Arrested Development is pretty good.

  • Only Connect Jay, Youtube "Only Connect", you'll fall in love with it's twisted complexity.

Also, the host is of an appropriate age :)

  • My So-Called Life. The series finale will drive you to insanity, in the best possible way.

  • 16 is legal though.......

  • I just finished watching every episode of The vicar of dibley

  • Green Wing is ridiculously funny if you haven't already seen it. There are only two series, alas, but it's definitely worth a look! :)

  • Big Bang Theory! Doctor Who! Sherlock! Hawaii 50 (new series's)! Never Mind The Buzzcocks! QI! ect.

  • The title of this video made me a little bit worried for a moment because one of my friends' nickname is Jailbait.

  • Young Justice is by far one of the most addictive TV hows to date. It's currently on hiatus, but it will be back in a couple of weeks. Use this time to indulge in its fantasticness! ^^

  • Black Books, The X-Files, Doctor Who (including Classic Who), Sherlock etc.

  • "Real Time" with Bill Maher on HBO. I know you'll find a way.

  • It is super-obvious that you've been badly affected by reddit's closure of /r/jailbait. I am sorry for your loss.

  • My favourite show is Doctor Who!

  • Black Books is the most hilarious thing ever ever. Ever

  • Awkward on MTV. The whole first season is on MTV.com I believe and the next season airs some time this month. That and Glee but Glee is just a guilty pleasure. I'm not recommending it.

  • I'm a fan of "Mad Men." It's set in the 60's (Madison Avenue advertising world) and I'm old enough to realize they get so many of the period details right.

  • Two words: ADVENTURE TIME.

  • Glee, Not Going Out, The Big Bang Theory, Miranda, Sherlock, Supernatural. These shows are worth getting into if you haven't already.

  • My favourite show is Misfits, probably. Also I've really gotten into The Secret Circle which is this fantastically bad series about teenaged witches dealing with love-triangles, homework, and combatting the *literal* demons within themselves.

  • Misfits, Arrested Development, Big Bang Theory, Being Human (UK), The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Fringe. Better still, rest your eyes and listen to The Goon Show.

  • I like the stab at MythBusters. How I Met Your Mother is a good series to get into. Its on its 7th(?) season now so it should take you awhile.

  • have you watched Supernatural?
