My Windows 7 has the hibernation mode. My hibernation mode allows me to interupt my mork, shut off the pc und continue the work at the same point i stopped. My Cache is hot. Your Fast Mode is equvalent to the standby mode. Your regular mode is a new start + hibernation mode. Yeah, let me close all my work, my 46 tabs in my browser, clear my ram an cache because of restart to use the implemented hibernation by windows. sorry epic fail this feature.

i would like to ask if i installed multiple os (eg 1 win xp, 1 win 7), can the instant boot function still work while i shut down from win xp? coz the windows choose manager should be booted first instead of directly boot to win xp.

Jaz uporabljam INSTANT BOOT in morm rečt,da je kr super zadeva.Res Boota mi ga v 5 sekundah pri fast mode.Pri regular mode pa traja kr 1.5 min.

Pri fast mode morš imet power on.Oziroma ne smeš prekiniti dovajanje toka.Pri regular mode pa uporablja hibernation mod v windows7.

it's annoying, i can't get mine to work properly, when i enabled fast mode for it, it still went through the windows xp load up screen ( with the moving bar on the bottom just after the bios appears ), i thought it would just swift through to the desktop, ah oh well, i tried this on my new sempron 2gb ram build

Ok so on fast mode is stand by aka. s3,and on regular mode is hibernation aka.s4 mode,but with no junk on disk...

The nice thing about IB is that is no garbage on disk like in Sleep or hibernate mode,and is green thing...but unlike hibernation you need to be connected to wall i guues..so id say its tweeked stand by mode....

If so - excellent work!.

If NOT then its just "standby mode" (standby mode works by using a tiny voltage from the PSU (and from the wall socket) to keep the memory modules active, allowing them to work as a kind of flash memory).

I hope you guys aren't sitting there celebrating the reinvention of the wheel.

Asrock make cheap shitty mainboards that support new CPU's but NOT the optimal memory speeds required to get the benefit of the new CPU.

For example you can get a mainboard from them that supports the new AMD Phenom X4 & X6 processors, but the mainboard ONLY supports DDR2 memory.

Thus crippling the optimal speeds of data through-put, creating bottlenecks and putting excess stress on the CPU.

Uh no, I use an ASROCK mobo and Insta-boot, and it starts in around 10 seconds for me.
