  • How old is this machine? When did they stop making them?

  • ...great demo !!! LES

  • man! the shiniest nagra ever!

  • That is such an awesome piece of audio recording technology from days gone by! I suspect that even today, that this machine, assuming that it is well maintained, would far out perform any of the cassette decks that are still laying around today where audio fidelity and frequency range is concerned. Great video, belizando!

  • watch?v=rM4fM-R3HC8

    This is the same?

  • The recorder of the movie Brian Palma "blow out" :)

    Great!

  • lovely recorder ^^ if i have enough money one day i would like using that kind of stuff, but the problem is became harder to found new tape, what size of tape did you used in a device like that, same as master tape for ampex or revox stuff ?

  • I restore and repair these, and I sold this one for US$900. Got it at a gov't surplus auction for $80.00, but it was in pretty bad condition!

  • The Nagra III was made for film sync sound so it had to be accurate. These things were used for dialogue recording for several major motion pictures. It is perhaps one of the most accurate portable reel-to-reel recorders ever made, and also at the time the most expensive device of its kind in the world.

  • How much did you pay for this Nagra?
