  • You know the "your on your horse, blanket,we're riding through the Sussex desert . The blue bells are all out and the sky is clear and blue " part from Fab , right ? I love that chapter " through the dream of love"

    But it's REALY depressing ;(

    R.I.P LINDA;( -3 =w=

  • this song is for Mo not for Linda

  • beautiful

  • i luv mo. (srry i kno this is about linda) but she died on my birthday a few yrs b4 i was born.

  • ther is no death for the soul and spirit, they are eternal and who you really are inside the house of your body. this is a great thing if you put your faith in Jesus, it will determine where you spend your eternity. Believers will meet again, but with a purer love.

  • A love like theirs is so hard to see today. People say I do but don't (.less marriages would skid. if those who say "I do,Did)

  • My words exactly. I love this and Calico Skies. They are both sad when you think of Linda, but also comforting.

  • This is a beautiful tribute to Linda so deal with it.

  • Yes, there's something deeply sad about the way Linda had to leave... you don't see a marriage like theirs every day. Amazing they should find each other in this great big world.

  • Beautiful song/words and music. About another beautiful person. Energy changes form it never dies,

  • what's sad is all Paul/Linda/Ringo/ Beatles ever promote was PEACE-not hate, not fighting..yet here you all take a beautiful song and dishonor innocent people's memories. Just listen..and learn..not argue

  • This is a beautiful video and I love this song. She was a pure, sweet spirit, and she spoke her mind. She did absolutely nothing to deserve the bitter criticism she was constantly saddled with.

  • If thats all you wanted to do then why would you even mention Mo? Especially if u just wanna insult her!

  • @darkangel000000

I'm not obsessed with Maureen! I like her but I'm not obsessed with her! This is a Linda video not a Maureen one. If you think she has no class no one really cares.

  • @darkangel000000 you know i think its creepy how insulted you are by a total stranger...its also creepy that you wont stop insulting Mo...if you dont like her then keep it to yourself. next time dont open your mouth.

  • I love Pattie and I feel bad for what Mo did to her but that doesnt make her a terrible person!!!

  • It's not creepy to respect someone and be a fan of someone. If someone insulted Linda I'm sure you would defend her! If you don't like her no one really cares...keep it to yourself. Maureen made mistakes, just like Linda, just like everyone! But because she was Ringo's wife makes her different and classless! I am done arguing with such an ignorant person!!!

  • Who do you think you are saying Mo doesnt have any class? I'm sorry but you really don't know anything about her if you think she has none! Linda is very classy but so is Mo! What makes you think she doesnt have class?

  • I have a right to get upset because YOU obviously dont know anything about her!!! You have no right to say she had no class because she did! You never knew her I'm sure so don't say anything!!! You need to learn to have some respect!

  • @darkangel000000

Maureen had class! What makes you think she didnt? She was very classy. You must not know much about her!!! She was a great wife (just because she cheated doesnt mean she has no class) and she was a great mother. Ringo cheated on her. What makes Maureen the bad guy? You know nothing!!!

  • Whats that supposed to mean?! Maureen had class? Why would you say she didnt?!

  • Its such a shame... Paul and Linda were the definition of true love!

  • esta cancion paul la escribio en memoria de la esposa de ringo.

  • que guena!!!

  • bonita pareja!! love love love!!!

  • we all know this song was written for Maureen but it can still appy here. Paul was the happiest with Linda and she was amazing. The photo at 1:16 and again at 2:24 was taken by Mary the day before she died in Arizona. I still can't get over her death and never will. having someone close to your heart die leaves pain forever even though your life goes on.

  • part 2...Paul goes on but believe me has a constant pain since he lost Linda. Don't ask how I know I just do. Thanks for all who watch the Linda tributes

  • I love linda, but this song was for Mo starrkey !

  • Oh how I miss her & seeing the both of them together. What a beautiful couple...she was simply the best of the best. Linda, you will never be forgotten! Maybe I'm amazed.....like all of us were... that such pure love still exists.

  • I miss you Linda!

  • excellent job with the video, everyone im sure has memories of their own with this song,I know i have special reasons for loving this song. well done Annie

  • what a beautiful inspirational woman linda was...rest in peace angel.xx

  • I miss you linda!!!

  • she died 3/18/1998

  • Actually, she died 4/17/98.

  • This is what paul does best the master of the ballad love it and him

  • Even though 'Little Willow' was for Mo, it is universal. Certainly applies to Linda as well. Bravo!!! on this video.

  • Beautiful video.

  • What a beautfiful awesome couple!! Miss you Linda!! RIP!!! Paul will live forever in us all and so will you!!

  • Gorgeous song that applies to two gorgeous women. RIP Linda and Maureen!

  • :)Wonderful !

  • Lovely video. I agree with other commenters who say 'Flaming Pie' was essentially his most introspective album.

Although this song was for Maureen, he certainly had to have Linda in mind as well.

  • I liked the tribute. Most of the songs off Flaming Pie were excellent. This one especially!

  • I believe the liner notes from Flaming Pie state that this song was for a friend who was going thru a difficult time. Paul went to musical heights he had never ventured into w/ this album. His best.

  • Little Willow was written for/about Maureen "Mo" Ringo's X....she passed away with Luekemia...Zack, had even donated his Bone Marrow...but sadly to no avail....

  • beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady

  • What a great tribute to a remarkable lady.

  • This is about Ringos Wife linda sung in it why would paul write this about linda?

she was diagonised with cancer into 1995!

this was made 10 years before

  • Maureen died in '94. Which means this song was written in that period from '94 to '95. Paul and Linda would cry when they heard this song because she said it was about her now.

  • @thebeatles94 just saw this as new. I love anything to do with Linda because I miss her so much. Your words are correct because on hearing this song they would cry knowing that it was her turn to battle cancer and tragically lose. However the family never told her about her prognosis because she was a fighter and knowing there was no more to be done it her spirit and determination to be at Pauls' side when he turned 64 and on and on. we so miss you xxxxxxxx

  • @Beatles9Forever Paul felt bad for his friend Ringo and Ringo's kids since Ringo's wife Maureen died of cancer--so he wrote this for Ringo's kids to help ease the sadness..jsut like Paul wrote hey jude for John Lennon's son Julian after John's divorce. the Linda bit just meansphotos of Linda, and the youtuber made this into a tribute to Linda

  • This songs about Ringo's first wife Mo.

  • I know, but it doesn't matter.

  • Comment removed

  • This is too sweet. Especailly missing Linda today. God Bless her

  • excellent tribute, especially today . thank you

  • fantastic tribute! thankyou- lots of love to the amazing Linda!

  • It's too bad that Paul's marriage with Heather Mills didn't last long. I don't wanna beleive that Heather married him for money. Wasn't she? in my own opinion, Linda was a lot better half for Paul. Paul was so lucky to had her. I love Beatles songs. I grew up with them.

    Peace from Chicago, Illinois

  • I really miss Linda. She was a wonderful person who left lots of lessons for everybody. She won't be forgotten. Lovely tribute!

  • I especially love the pictures of Linda with short hair. Look at that face! She's beautiful!

  • Peace gonna follow

  • surprised on the dvd set he didnt put something together like this for Linda with Little Willow, was very disppointed in him there. Thanx for posting very nicely done xx

  • there is the most beautiful scene of Paul and Linda kissing in the vid Paul Mccartney-you are so beautiful. It comes directly after a picture of stars in the sky. Linda was sick then but they thought she had beaten the cancer. That kiss makes me cry everytime I see it. Such love he will never know again.

  • I was seven years old when she died...but I remember me crying because I always had been a huge paul mccartnry fan and I never thought about another woman walking next to him...since that day I am vegitarian...like paul has written in the epilouge "the last great pleasure we can give her, is that many people as possible become vegitarian"...I miss you Linda. You're always in my heart...

  • Thank you for doing this video. I miss Linda very much. She meant such a lot to me. Linda was so Cool.

  • Love you Linda. God Bless you. You made Paul so very happy. Lovely girl, wonderful mother, beautiful children. Love you Linda.

  • sorry, but little willow is for maureen starkey, it said paul after maureen's dead, nice tribute

  • I wish Linda was still here saving the lives of animals, taking amazing pictures and being the great wife and mother. Thanks for your tribute. It's really beautiful!

  • Paul wrote this song for Maureen Cox Starkey, Ringo's first wife. It was written after she died from Leukemia around the early 90s.

  • I know, but the song fits both situations. According to an interview with Paul, before Linda died, they cried when they listened to this song after she had been diagnosed with breast cancer because it was about her know too.

It's so sad. They were so happy... I don't think Paul ever got over her death... I'm 200% sure that Paul still misses Linda very much.

  • Paul and Linda. Perfect.

  • that was beautiful. It is clear to see just how happy they were. His soul mate, best friend and lover inspired some of his most beautiful songs. Even Paul said that. I believe that when he lost her he did lose a little of his edge and soul for song writing. Todays music is no where near this era of McCartney work, although some is still good. Miss you too Linda

  • Paul, Linda... and The Beatles... forever...
