My neice is 15 years old and wants to start wearing makeup, especially eyeshadow. In my generation we was allowed to wear makeup inside the house, along with our "skank wear". Not outside the house. She sometimes hangs out in her yard with her skank wear. Now she wants the makeup. I am planning on buying her a filled pallet for Christmas. What's your opinion? And is my family too strict? Well, I was raised "old school"...I couldn't wear makeup at 15 years old. I was only able to wear liner on the upper lid and lipstick when I was 16. My mom only let me cause I was a senior in high school at that time. If you think she's mature enough in the mind to handle makeup....start her off small. You don't want her doing too much out there. The "skank wear" scares me...? I'm telling you....I was raised with "old school" values...and I raise mine the same. Modesty.
