  • did u use the gsr gurdle and oil pick up.

  • loving the 4 to 1 headers

  • off timing. sounds to be retarted

  • those golden headers are sexy compared to my steel ones :S

  • So you can keep the stock rods and crankshaft?

  • u get this motor dont have a gurdle on the bottom end.lol

  • Headers r not oem

  • how did you get the cam gears to show?? did u have to cut anything?

  • looks like B16A1 with a GSR head...

  • Wat oem parts did u use

  • @ranger0861 no if you loop the lines its not hard to steer without power steering

  • Timing belt seem really loose

  • Question for the Owner and anyone else... No Power Steering, Doesn't it eat up your sterring cullum,,, because its hard as shit to turn with no ps... and ac, i live in Atlanta so heat is everywhere

  • @Ranger0861 not really, if you have a manual rack your fine.

  • CLEAN bro!

  • It's not hard to convert hondas from auto to manual.... At all. It's just s tranny swap.

  • @503JDMwarrior...YUP...easy as fuck...my last job I did was and auto B20 conversion...

  • How's the tension on that Timing belt now? It seems to have experienced a lot of belt slap at idle.. That's not good. Just an observation.

  • @PiChiro7 um i'd say maybe change cars and get one that comes as a manual mostly because all the work your going to have to do, just cut that corner instead

  • wat kinda header is tat?

  • @PiChiro7

hey dude i build honda engines, use a b16 for acceleration,or b18 for speed, both are quick but a b16 is cheaper because it comes off a civic, and if u aint useing a manual tranny dont even bother building an engine.,a ys1 from a maual teg will work but the gears are longer,i would use a b16 tranny or b18 trannyagain b16 acceleration b18 speed!!!!

  • @VTEConDECK...wat you talking bout...longer gears is better...especially for turbo

  • U have a lotta belt slack tighten up the tensioner

  • beautiful job! well done

  • @chasecolston thanks

  • Clean motor. I got an EF with ls vtec no oil leaks either:)

  • @SuperQuickStick dam i got an Ls too. buts its a turd. im saving money to buy a low milage Ls so i can boost it. but Ls vtec is so tempting lol

  • @SuperQuickStick what engine do you have?

  • @SuperQuickStick they are good for the price. decent gains with good full exhaust. . just remeber to stick with correct size exhaust all the way through . u dont want a bottle neck exhaust. oh and remeber to read on the ebay listing of the header what outlet size it has because some of them are about stock size

  • you used b18 bottom end with b16 head cause thats what im bout to do

  • check ur timing belt dude it looks loose, change ur oil filter, where is ur oil line? by the way my headers are better than urs =) n im a chick n im pretty not ugly, fat or dikey just smart

  • @jocellyne24 lsvtec oil line was there, its jus madd thin

  • What's the HP?

  • Damn kid u didn't tighten up the belt o what I'm suprised that shut distance jump on timing wise foreals

  • I think i saw the new owner at Map proving grounds, Ran 13.8.

  • @usoofat really! i haven talked to dude in a while but he said motor still runs good w/ no oil leaks. but maybe its time for him to do something different to the motor. im in the turbo world now so N/A is done for me

  • @her0062 Ah, you should of kept it though, Haha.

  • hell ya!! looking good!!

  • I got b20vtec sleeved acl rod an main bearing eagle rods aris high comp pistons itr crank polished and microbalanced itr pulley gsr head itr springs retainers blox b cams skunk 2 cam gears and intake manifold rc 310 injectors walbro fuel pump all hondata gaskets arp head bolts hayame fuel rail b&m fuel gauge and pressure regulater p28 ecu on chrome tuned at dynoed at 232 to the wheels and now on a 80 shot of nitrous running and dyno the end of this month.

  • my recommendation to you or anyone building an ls/vtec motor is to go out and spend a few extra buck's on the right parts.if ls/vtec was so rad ! why wouldnt honda have made them in the first place ? so go out and get the golden eagle head gasket which was made NOT to block the oil hole ! arp head studs beacuse im sure you dont want your head seperating from the block.and also a block guard.oh yeah and golden eagle makes the oil line kit for ls/vtec

  • @TheRODSTRONG0 Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but Honda doesn't make LS/Vtec engines just like how they don't turbocharge their cars for perfomance. But yeah, a well tuned LS/Vtec will be pretty badass.

  • how much whp did u make? i used to have an ls vtec but i got an b20vtec even better :P

  • which head gasket did you end up using?

  • @efhatchb16a Use Ls head gasket cuz your plugging up the oil whole

  • Thumbs up dude I'm about to build up my 92 eg hatch it ha the b18b1 and I already have the b16 head good build man

  • wat did this cost to do?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx i already had a b16 motor...so it was a matter of finding a b18b block. otherwise everyting was under $1000 w/ connections.

  • @her0062 do you like the ls vtec more than the b16?

  • @JDMxGSRxVTEC love the Lsvtec way more. dont get me wrong b16 is a great motor but too limited.

  • @her0062 nice i'm going to go for an ls vtec setup but with a gsr head instead

  • @JDMxGSRxVTEC Really? Because B16 heads flow better than gsr heads..

  • @wajalama yea but if i have the head built it really won't matter much, i really like the sound of gsr's

  • wow!!! i love it !!!

  • damn looks like a clean ass build. starting my ls/vtec build soon. anyone wanna give advice on the best parts?

  • you can reuse honda head bolts it is not a requirement to replace the but it is highly recommended because it is known for them to "stretch" i have seen plenty reused that were fine but i still recommend arp head bolts even though they are a bitch

  • @TheAllmotorgsr thats what i mean...if your gonna use the motor for racing and performance highly recommend ARP head studs and ARP rod bolts unless you have a griddle.

  • Damn, looks like I just fucked up using the stock head studs (only because the guy who sold me "golden eagle" head studs didn't f'ing fit!) Oh well we'll c how long it'll last.

  • @Urmom882 its highly recommended to use ARP head studs and Rods bolts for high rev. Honda bolts are only good for one time use only. especially if your talking about performance motor

  • @Urmom882 Just take the head off and change them. I would never even consider using stock head studs for lsvtec. I'd just feel dirty...

  • How come u say don't come cheap but u got an ebay header? What kinda header is that? I got my tri y frm ebay it works wonderful...just sayin

  • @vtecnegro85 i was talking more about slap on Ls vtec setups....alot of people tend to use stock head studs but like i said i replaced rod bearings w/ main and ARP head studs....the bolts on can still be ebay stufff...makes it even better cuz i'm still kicking asss....

  • @no oil leaks man....

  • @vtecnegro85 when it comes to bolt ons I dont think it matter to much but u cant skimp out on internal parts is what I think he means.

  • DAMN man i loved this car.

but i also love your new RIDE HAHA :D

  • why cant people install timing belts properly on these!

  • timing belt is fine guys...

  • not bad dude.. sup wit the loose belt lol

  • @Eksirrob

on hondas when the engine is cold our honda timing belts are loose.. when i warms up it tightens itself... i helped built this motor too... i know it bottom up...

  • @lortony on my b20v my timing belt is tight when its cold should i loosen it up?>

  • @Eksirrob i suggest that you should... but if you dont hear a whining noise than you should be just fine... but id do still suggest that you leave it a little lose when engine is cold... so when it warms up there's not so much tension on the belt... (less belt snapping.)

  • im going to build one like this on the civic cx, got any tips on what to put in it??

  • best oem i have ever seen. im still building my engine the way you told me. its taking time since im in school and work. but i def will have a video up of the swap, and how it runs, i will let you know when i do that. thanks for your help once again.. and i seen the comments on your other videos. people fucking hate hard on 4bangers! lol 4bangers all day!

  • @pepitaPBC yea man...wish you best of luck on your build. Letme know how it goes...

  • chrome out manifold... like the color.

  • very nice what did you use to tune it with?

  • @shaggyz6 used a wideband to tune on CHROME. Never dyno before i sold it but person who bought it did low 13s

  • @her0062 still should of kept this car instead of the wrx though >_<

  • @usoofat i love my Hondas. but just had to try TURBO. its a whole new world w/ TURBO...

  • VERY clean motor :D
